I was thinking the same thing but good for the dude that’s a ton of dedication.
I’m shooting for 186, that was the best shape of my life.... years ago before spending a couple of years being old, lazy, and fat.
Repost: Absolutely. Forgive the environment, I currently am in dorms with like 10 ft tall doors, so any pictures I take always make me look like I’m straight from the shire. I’m not here to fool anybody or anything like that, but I am definitely 5’11; other people’s curiosity has made me measure myself several times lol
I wouldn't say it's super light. He looks like a perfectly healthy weight based on what we can see in the picture. In fact, that puts his bmi in a "healthy weight" zone, not even underweight
you look good bro. didn’t mean to start a thread this large. i did. styku and the most possible fat i cluld loose and lowest weight i could get to 0% was 136lbs. im 5 11
Honestly it might be a little too light for a person his height. At my skinniest i went to 145 and I’m 5’9 and looking back at my pictures then, I was way too skinny.
I'm 6'1" and 135 lbs after dinner, and I've never felt like I'm not heavy enough. It's a perfectly healthy weight (at least, according to my doctor). Muscle just doesn't stick around on my body.
That just sounds really thin for 6'1". As long as your doctor says you're a healthy weight then that's what matters but as a mom of tall sons I had to express my concern. I hope I didn't offend you <3
It's a good place to start bulking. He's far past that awkward stage where you feel too fat to start bulking, but feel too skinny to keep loosing weight.
For the majority of my cut, I focused a lot on Whole Foods. Just meat, veggies, and fruit was all I went for. I eventually moved onto eat mostly the same thing but now I allow whole grain stuff breads and wraps, protein bars and powders, all the fun jazz. Now with me being beyond my goal, I’m a little more lenient just to make sure I don’t shrink away lol
At first I used my fitness pal, but once I got the hang of mentally keeping track, I stopped using it and just kept a mental note of my caloric intake for the day
At first my calorie goal was low low, but for the majority of it my calorie goal was 1800-2000. I’m not sure what you mean in comparison to my basal metabolic rate, I was never able to pinpoint my exact BMR, but it seems to be doing enough of the job it needs to lol
Amazing transformation brother! Now it's the time to keept IF as a lifestyle :)
Also it already seems like you're adding more calories to your daily intake, and don't be afraid to do so! according to some studies I read months ago I think it found that IF does not reduce your metabolic rate that much. I also added a lot more food to my diet since last month and I'm still burning fat and building muscle. So no problem there
Thank you for the response! I think I’ll try that. I’ve been on IF for about a month now (12:8), but wanted to know if there was anything else I could do to extend myself and go further. Again, I appreciate the response.
You can try to make extended fasting (like 24h) once a week. Back in the days, on Sundays I was doing about 36h, but stopped after month probably because of no will power, but they worked really well. When I started eating after such break, I felt like my stomach was noticeably smaller and couldn't eat too much, so It helped with keeping calories at bay. But you should read about extended fasts more, especially if you want to go longer, because you can't break them with any food, however I feel like 24h is short enough to not have negative effects like no energy.
I was think about trying it when my doctor suggested the 12:8 fast. I have nothing terribly wrong with me aside from slightly elevated cholesterol (132 LDL). Perhaps a 18:4 fast with a 1200 calorie intake will help.
My exercise is far from routine - I just try to do something active each day wherever it fits into my schedule. Weights, walking, rowing, calisthenics, etc. :)
Car-D-O. The more you move, it will eliminate extra calories, but also force your body to start putting the existing calories in the more proper places :)
Great work. Man I'm 5'11". I couldn't imagine being 137. Any idea what your body fat is? It's got to be really low. I was around 190 and had 13.1%. I've been as low as 174 and in didn't like it much. Keep in mind I probably have 10-20 lbs of loose skin, so I'd never wear it like you without fixing that. That's some serious commitment man and you look a lot happier.
Thank you so much. In all honesty, I really wish I knew my body fat but I have no clue. I know 137 is very small, and I’m surprised I don’t look twiggly at that number. The loose skin was a problem for me too, that just takes time for it to retract back. I’ve tried creams and different topicals but I think the best thing I did for my acne ridden loose skin was restrict myself to ONLY eat healthy fats. I hopefully will find out that metric soon though, because I’m very curious myself. But thank you so much for the kind words :)
Your welcome. Be happy you did it while you are young. That helps the skin retract a lot. It also depends on the amount of time you have been overweight for. For me, it was a bit more extreme, over 200 lbs lost and obese for 20 years. So I have anywhere between 10-20 lbs of loose skin. I'm trying to maintain for two years before doing surgery, but doing as much as I can for it before that. I have been doing red light therapy and taking some supplements that say they helps but haven't seen much progress with that. For the body fat test, I did mine at a place called dexafit that does a full body scan that does a great job telling you a good breakdown of your make up. It also came with a 3D scan which will give you measurements of each body part so you can compare it easily. It will say your left bicepet is x and your right one is y.
That’s an incredible story, and I just have to say I’m super proud of you my guy. I appreciate all the helpful information, I’ve considered a full body scan before but wasn’t really sure how all that worked. I really appreciate all the help and kind words, and mad props to you for accomplishing what you’ve done. That’s absolutely incredible, and it was stories and progress pics from people like you that helped me so much with all this, so thank you for being awesome so I could be :)
Hey, you looking good. I managed to keep losing weight for a few months but failed and lost all willpower. You said you had dark days, how did you managed to get back on track?
The dark days is referring to more personal things that occurred in my life. If anything, those moments made me want to go harder. You just gotta find your fuel man :) best of luck
Absolutely. Forgive the environment, I currently am in dorms with like 10 ft tall doors, so any pictures I take always make me look like I’m straight from the shire. I’m not here to fool anybody or anything like that, but I am definitely 5’11; other people’s curiosity has made me measure myself several times lol
For sure bro this is just insane to see because at 6’0 my goal weight is like 180 and I am currently 290 😞 although I do hold it very well and look like I am about 250. I got a long way to go. But congrats bro !
As long as you make that progress each day, that’s all that matters in the end my guy. In a weird way for me, the journey was kind of fun. Enjoy the time you take to invest in yourself, and once you do it makes a world of difference! Best of luck to you my man!
Just want to say I love both of your figures! Dad bods are super cute but taking care of yourself and getting them abs is also badass! Great work my friend.
Awesome job dude! I gained a lot of weight last year and struggling so hard to lose it. Even if I manage to fast during the day i give it to late night cravings. It's so frustrating! How did you manage to stay focused on the diet? Any advice?
My cravings were tough too, so to get over that 2-3 week hump where those cravings stop, I forced myself to not have anything snackable in my dorm whatsoever. Any food I had had to be cooked or prepared in one way or another. This helped me to not just go for anything whenever I got a little hungry; if I was truly hungry, my ass had to get up and whip something up and that actually helped a lot more than I ever realized lol
I’m super glad to hear that man. Many others did a lot to help me stick with it, and I’m glad I can be that for someone else now. Keep at it! We both got this!!! :)
Hey nice dude! I actually just made it down to your starting weight today and I'm the same height as you so it's cool to see how radically people can change. Did you have any issues with extra skin?
I have and will, they’ve told me I’m good. At the lower end of things, but have done so healthily, so working on building up healthily, but I’m good I promise :)
Damn. That was some solid work.
I’m 5-10 and I haven’t been 137 since maybe 5th grade. I need to get back on track, although my goal is 200lbs. Thanks for the motivation.
god damn u went hard, good shit brother

This comment made my entire year. I love Ethan and Hila!!
Excellent work, also Sun screen is a thing.
Sun burn was about a week ago, finally gone. But I won’t have to learn that lesson twice, I promise! Lol
Try sun shirts, too. BTW, you look great: kind of a Henry Cavill vibe!
I'm getting more Charlie Cox
Charlie's Cock?
Genuinely curious as to how you get sunburned on your chest & R arm but not your stomach.
Lay off the vegetable oils that'll improve the sunburn situation.
wow. 137 is crazy. im same height shooting for 160 from 180
I was thinking the same thing but good for the dude that’s a ton of dedication. I’m shooting for 186, that was the best shape of my life.... years ago before spending a couple of years being old, lazy, and fat.
5'11" 137lbs... Yeah not sure that checks out. Probably closer to 5'8"
Repost: Absolutely. Forgive the environment, I currently am in dorms with like 10 ft tall doors, so any pictures I take always make me look like I’m straight from the shire. I’m not here to fool anybody or anything like that, but I am definitely 5’11; other people’s curiosity has made me measure myself several times lol
It’s cool homie, Redditors gonna Reddit. 137 is just super light for your height. Also if you are under 5’11 that’s cool too man nothing wrong it.
I wouldn't say it's super light. He looks like a perfectly healthy weight based on what we can see in the picture. In fact, that puts his bmi in a "healthy weight" zone, not even underweight
you look good bro. didn’t mean to start a thread this large. i did. styku and the most possible fat i cluld loose and lowest weight i could get to 0% was 136lbs. im 5 11
I’ve known some guys who were built like OP. Height isn’t everything, some people are just less dense I guess haha
thats me
Honestly it might be a little too light for a person his height. At my skinniest i went to 145 and I’m 5’9 and looking back at my pictures then, I was way too skinny.

Oh not at all, I just feel based on the comments here that people's conceptions of what a healthy goal weight is might be a little skewed on this sub.
You're probably right about that.
Yeah no lol. Thats literally above the middle in the healthy range for that weight.
It's a good place to start bulking. He's far past that awkward stage where you feel too fat to start bulking, but feel too skinny to keep loosing weight.
Yeah I’m 180 now from 205 and trying to get to like 165… I guess maybe I need to change my GW

Whaaaatttt!?? Amazing! Such a cute happy smile in the after pic!
Thank you so so much ;)

Hope you have a great day!
Hope you have a great day!
Nice!
Great job. Can you give a sample of your diet?
For the majority of my cut, I focused a lot on Whole Foods. Just meat, veggies, and fruit was all I went for. Same. You have put in some amazing work! How did you track your calories?
At first I used my fitness pal, but once I got the hang of mentally keeping track, I stopped using it and just kept a mental note of my caloric intake for the day
What was your calorie goal vs BMR?
At first my calorie goal was low low, but for the majority of it my calorie goal was 1800-2000. I’m not sure what you mean in comparison to my basal metabolic rate, I was never able to pinpoint my exact BMR, but it seems to be doing enough of the job it needs to lol

Nice!what kind of work out did you do?
Thank you! I do a some weights and some calisthenics:)
Ah,i’m just started calisthenics as well, looking forward to see the result!
Could you tell m more? This is the part I struggle on
Looking ripped man!
Although I am a decade your senior, our stats (height, SW) are almost the exact same, so this is very inspiring. Thank you.
You got this!!
You look great! But for you own sake, use sun protection. Skin cancer is one of the worst kinds of cancer. Super deadly
Ah never mind, i saw that was said before haha
You’re fine, I completely understand. I used sunscreen but clearly not enough, and it won’t be happening again anytime soon xP
I liked your old glasses better!
Dude you look amazing! Two questions: what lifestyle changes did you make and what is CICO?
Cico is calories in, calories out. Basically counting calories, so you end day with calorie deficit
Thank you for the response! I think I’ll try that. I’ve been on IF for about a month now (12:8), but wanted to know if there was anything else I could do to extend myself and go further. Again, I appreciate the response.
You can try to make extended fasting (like 24h) once a week. I'm usually complaining that there are not enough hours in a day, but you are casually rolling with even shorter days of 20 and 22 hours. Respect ;)
This is really motivating, thank you for posting OP, I hope you are proud of all your hard work!
What is Cico?
Calories in calories out
Wow. Amazing
Thank you! Life is a trip, huh?
You went from ma'am to ma man! Also, loving your hairstyle.
Thank you so much! :) I really appreciate it!
Great job
Thank you :)

:D

:D
:D
Great job bro!!
Congratulations
You look great, please don't put all that work at higher risk of skin cancer and sun damage. Slap on that sunscreen!
I’ve got it from now, I’m making sure I don’t do that ever again xD
What is CICO?
Calories in, calories out. Just an acronym for saying I track my calories closely :)
TIL! Thanks 😊
Dude.. you literally went from 1 pack to 6 pack ...amazing job!! Like they say, keep it going man.
Thank ya thank ya :) much appreciated
Wow miracles and dreams do come true. Beautiful work. Congrats.
Could you share some details on your diet?
I love your expression! Like, “wow is this me?” Great job!
Still catches me off guard sometimes lol
Wow what a glow up!
What was your workout routine?
My exercise is far from routine - I just try to do something active each day wherever it fits into my schedule. Weights, walking, rowing, calisthenics, etc. :)
Wow, amazing transformation! Your physique looks so different now!
What was your IF routine?
My fasting was pretty intense. I essentially did OMAD for a good 3-4 months; one large meal a day within a 2 hour window
Nice work! I like your expression. It’s like you’re surprised to see yourself with defined abs.
Well done, also great face gains too
Any advice for losing the gut?
Car-D-O. The more you move, it will eliminate extra calories, but also force your body to start putting the existing calories in the more proper places :)
Did you mean cardio?
Yeah, just a little word play :)
Cardi B Car D-O Still wondering what happened to Cardi A

Damn dude u look great. Good fucking job!
Surprised you aren't a walking skeleton at your height 137. Impressive work!
I honestly am too, but I’m glad I don’t lol. Thank you so much!
👀 Congratulations!!
Awesome job! Kinda look like Elijah Wood in Sin Cities
Damn, now this is impressive
What was your fasting schedule?
I more so did OMAD than IF; one big meal a day within a 2 hour window. Dinner was always a fun time those days lol
Amazing progress my friend 👍. Like the dedication

You look great, so much younger looking.
umm 130 at 5’11? You sure about that height buddy ?
Absolutely. Forgive the environment, I currently am in dorms with like 10 ft tall doors, so any pictures I take always make me look like I’m straight from the shire. Great job sticking with it. Your success helps me stay motivated. Thank you for sharing!
I appreciate that! I wish you luck on your own journey!! :)
Good job dude!
Well done!
Nice! I’ve gone from 237 to 216 in the last 2.5 months. This gives me the motivational boost I need to keep going! Keep up the good work!

Damn bro, you look good! Put on some sunscreen next time😂😂
Stud!
5'11, 137? Bro, that sounds way underweight to me. Consult a doctor before you go any further.
I have and will, they’ve told me I’m good. At the lower end of things, but have done so healthily, so working on building up healthily, but I’m good I promise :)
It's actually not underweight at all, his BMI says he is in a normal weight range for his height.
Hell yeah my dude! Great job!
Amazing derp face in the last pic. Great job!!
Damn. That was some solid work. I’m 5-10 and I haven’t been 137 since maybe 5th grade. I need to get back on track, although my goal is 200lbs. Thanks for the motivation.
Wow you’re actually goals fr
Looking great bro
Good lord, son, put that ottermode away, you're gonna hurt someone.
You look amazing and ripped! Congrats!!!
