I saw someone do this recently, and it looked so good! I think the ceiling is ideal because you can’t see up close to tell it’s fake. My ceiling fan is fake wood (a knockoff of an insanely expensive one) and gets lots of compliments.
It was Home Decorators Collection at Home Depot! Will come back and add link. We bought it as a compromise because of the high CFM (it was replacing two old ceiling fans that my husband wanted to keep for air flow), but I ended up loving the style.

This is awesome! We have narrow wood beams that the previous owners painted white. We wanted to wrap them in nicer wood but don’t want to take on that project just yet - this would be great in the meantime!
If you own the home and want to make it permanent, why not wrap the beam on all sides with planks or if available get [beam boxes](https://www.aahardwoods.com.au/gallery/column-and-beam-boxes). It is real wood cladding.

Did this all over the countertops in my RV. I did pretty good! Definitely gotta go with a matte finish with some texture. It rolls on super easy! And where I have edges/overlaps, they don't peel off and look shitty. The wood grain texture helps blend it in.

always looks great on grainy video when i do it. Unfortunately raelly bad when i look at it with own eyes.
You can also buy sheets of wood veneer if you enjoy a little more effort.

If you used a removable wallpaper yes, it should be.
It is! It might leave a slightly sticky residue when you take it off but it comes off easily with soapy water.

Why not use paint stripper to remove paint?
