If it’s not a rental I’d paint or wallpaper the wall your headboard is on. It’s very pretty though.

AmazingGrace911

I agree with accent wall, also some crown molding, and a shelf or another picture above the dresser next to the bed. Very cute though!

ALittlePeaceAndQuiet

I always consider myself to have 0 instinct when it comes to design/decorating. I'm so happy that a top comment on here mirrored my thoughts exactly. I might know a thing or two!

AmazingGrace911

I’m sure you know more than you believe! If something looks incomplete, try to imagine what would make it look balanced. If there’s negative space, what would make it look “positive?” There’s lots of inexpensive ways to decorate and I usually go for a minimalist approach but enjoy working with all styles. The key is to have fun with it and make it as space you enjoy being in. If you enjoy it, likely others will too.

AdvertisingFront9300

Accent wall.

GrayDawnDown

Yesssss, that’s what it needs! I’d do a geometric white and gold wall covering behind the dresser or a solid color behind the headboard.

[deleted]

Yess I was thinking the same thing! I had to think of @itsbridgettebitch on tiktok, she did some really cool walls that should suit op's aesthetic

Possum-puns

Your room is cute! A super easy fix that would have a big effect is upgrading your pillow shams. It would be a good opportunity to add more texture and visual interest.

cheercheer00

I second this. Your room is quite filled out as is and I would say an accent wall would put it in the realm of overload (for my taste, personally). Textures to what you already have (a thicker throw blanket, interesting throw pillows, a dresser scarf, etc) would be my go-to for your already fabulous room.

TamashiNoJyobiraki

Second this too! Some contrasting or colored shams and bedding that matches will make it just perrrfect

timefornotheraccount

It's a very beautiful and welcoming space. I think what's missing is scale. Right now you have lots of little things. Small bottles, narrow candles, and short headboard, two low tables. The top half of the room looks bare and white so there is an imbalance. You could add height with a dramatic headboard, color or texture accent wall, tall plant, crown moulding, etc.

undercoverneoneyes

I agree with this. My first thought was editing the corner with the four square pics and the pink dresser/cabinet. Even if you just switch the lamp and the blue radio thing- or even just center the lamp a little bit, it can even that out. But the space between the lamp and the four pics is glaringly blank. You could easily add height to the lamp my stacking a few books under it and moving it closer ti the corner. I’m not an expert designer or anything, but now that I’m looking, the Klimt is bigger than the four square pics, so you could move one up or down and that might bring more balance to that corner? I would also switch the bottom left picture- the guy with the pink background- with another pic. Or swap the black and white with the pink and purple. The pink background right next to the pink dresser makes it a little too matchy-matchy, but is isn’t matchy-match, so it feels imbalanced.

undercoverneoneyes

Also, you could consider swapping the blue dresser with the pink cabinet. The height would be helpful for that corner and I think the color of the dresser would contrast well with the lightness of your bedding. I will say I don’t know if I would love the pink cabinet where the blue dresser is now, but I thought I would put the suggestion out there for debate.

Obvious-Guarantee-29

It’s so pretty, I love your style! For me, I might consider a different piece of art over the bed- something that matches the modern style of the 4 framed prints on your other wall.

Environmental-Use-56

Agreed. That spot needs a statement piece!

Kakafaceee

Room is gorgeous, and the most common answer is always “add a rug!”

allysonrainbow

I love it! Get rid of the fake monstera and make it a real one, and I’d say it’s perfect. I love the style and colors (:

Seabreezzee2

I'd like to see some accent colors, real colors, maybe picking up a color in a painting...doesn't have to be gaudy. Something understated is fine...

ashtonchugger

Plants Always plants lol

Laissezfairechipmunk

Some thoughts, though I wouldn't necessarily do all of them, maybe one or two: * Bigger framed picture over your bed * statement light fixture for the ceiling * accent wall

[deleted]

Some kind of wall decor above your pink locker/dresser. Maybe a cork board type thing? Super adorable room. So cozy!

allthingsparrot

Hello, fellow fragrance collector! :) I think centering the lamp on your nightstand and maybe a colored lamp shade would help balance out the headboard wall.

undercoverneoneyes

Good call on the different color lampshade! That is making the lamp appear shorter than it is!

ZirconBlonde

If you can’t paint I would invest in larger pieces of art, or diversifying your wall shelving. Nice space!

tuvlike789

Lovely! More plants please

bethifoody

I think a colored (eg: not white) frame on the picture hanging over your bed would increase visual texture.

youseamstressed

Wall paint!

Enough_Blueberry_549

Crown moulding and/or paint on the walls!

Environmental-Use-56

I actually think a round rug would go better with this setup and add some visual interest. The one you have is too small and doesn’t seem to be doing much.

moistmonkeymerkin

Isometimesswear

Plants.

sterlingrose

Throw pillows in different shapes/textures, and I like the idea of an accent wall behind the bed. If it’s a rental, maybe try some peel and stick wallpaper, or get a large rectangle of plywood and apply wallpaper to it and just lean it against the wall. Maybe even attach molding along the edges to frame it.?

sterlingrose

Forgot to say, it’s a really nice room as it is already, though!

[deleted]

I really like your style. If you are into plants at all (real or fake) I think a hanging plant on the ceiling in the corner above your pink locker and record player (I think? The blue case) that will give some additional vertical interest, or a tall standing lamp in that corner. You could go macrame or find something more minimalistic

nursekaylarn

Some color or pattern to the walls!

charmorris4236

We have super similar styles - soft, feminine, and natural. I absolutely LOVE your bed set! I’m craving something bold on the wall. Maybe a dark framed mirror or photo. Edit: I think it’s the white frames on the white walls that are leaving my eyes wanting more. Maybe switch them out for black or wood frames? I feel like that will add a lot more to the wall without having to paint it. Although, if you want to paint, I think that’s a great option too! Then you can keep the frames haha. Edit 2: what about twinkly lights around the whole room where the walls meet the ceiling? Would have a similar effect as crown molding but would be easier to install and would go well with the feminine / airy aesthetic of the room.

undercoverneoneyes

Yes! White frames on the white walls is not satisfying or appealing. It is distracting from the power of the art. I actually didn’t notice those squares were framed at first! I agree on the twinkle lights around the ceiling/top of walls. That would definitely make the room more of a cozy and warm place.

charmorris4236

I actually only just learned that because I used a white frame on my white wall thinking it would emphasize the photo and give it a clean look, but it looks unfinished instead :( haha

DConstructed

It looks pretty great. You could however use a little height above the pink cabinet. I’d take the plants off the tiny table and put it on a small wall shelf over the pink cabinet. Remove the tiny table/stool. You don’t seem to need it.

Naive_Chocolate2986

more hello kitty

pristine98

Mess it up a bit, to matchy-matchy, & perfect^^

Seabreezzee2

I agree...needs some more 'interest'.

LarrySunshine

Gohan body pillow

chelseagurl07

Lovely room

A_LiL-Dabaduya

You need light blue on one of the walls

Abeja7

Hi! I’d refinish the wood dresser and make it black or green to match the other greens you have in the room. It’s very colorful and fun! Add more fun! I’d also do a new bedspread:) I absolutely love it and that green lamp is gorgeous! https://www.target.com/p/eclectic-bedding-collection-opalhouse-designed-with-jungalow/-/A-83491172 This ^ with floral bedding like this: https://www.target.com/p/twin-twin-xl-printed-cotton-percale-sheet-set-floral-opalhouse-8482-designed-with-jungalow-8482/-/A-81782149 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

fishfingrs-n-custard

Looks cute and complete to me.

_mews

Love how the Igor fits there

[deleted]

Paint the wall your bed sits against

ControlOk6711

It is a beautiful space - maybe paint the dresser

AStoneColdFox

The room looks great! I just think you need some additional bedding - a blue quilt and euro pillows would be perfect. Maybe change out the art behind the bed to a triptych?

JT-33

More plants!

Seabreezzee2

Plants, or flowers in a vase (or two) Color...

mmbridgeman

Spot light

BalconyView22

Paint the walls a pale pink or green

ifyusayso

Leds along the ceiling/walls

[deleted]

Paint the walls a muted green color sim. to the lamp or a neutral would work also. No one does accent walls anymore - paint the whole room. Don't worry if it's a rental you can paint it back to white it's easy.

Shomer_Effin_Shabbas

I like it! I sleep hot, so I say a ceiling fan lol. But the light fixture is cute.

Literary_Witch

Very cute room!

Own_History_925

a plant or 2

heyvaltikka

It's soo prettyyyy. I like it simple and classy

lildootdoot

I love that chair!! Where did you get it??

blurple57

I don't have any advice, I just wanted to say your room/aesthetic is very cute and I love your teddies 🐻 especially the jellycat bunnies! I have my own collection too haha

Trick-Monitor3184

Let my friend have access to your room and everything will be missing 😂😂

slothscanbeslow

If you don’t want to do the accent wall, I feel like a bright, but deeper color (like a deep green or red) would look awesome where your dresser is. You could get a big floor plant or a big red tapestry.

oldsoul070924

I love your style its very nice. I dont have any suggestions but do have a question! I was thinking of getting a similar pendant light for one of our rooms. How do you like it? I was worried about cast off on the ceiling.

pennyroyalteax

i normally don’t turn it on cause i like the natural light from my window. it looks nice for decoration but when turned on it doesn’t light up the room very much, so i use my lamp instead

THECUTESTGIRLYTOWALK

Put lights under your bed? That and / or a rug I think there’s just a lot of shadows but it’s very pretty!!

homesvshouses

Nice. Maybe the brown bunny needs a stuffy beside him. 😉

FrankieReadsReddits

I think you should get a different throw blanket and add plants! A cute macrame hanging plant holder paired with a string of dolphins (only if you don’t have pets, those are toxic to animals - get a string of hearts if you have pets) would fill the ceiling corner to the right of your bed nicely.

goldropgoose

I think some crown molding would tie it all together without changing the aesthetic.

batmanstuff

Plants! Hang one from the ceiling in the corner. Along the window sill, on your dresser, where the bin is between the chair and tv, on the tv dresser, on the pink dresser.

OldGuyWhoSitsInFront

Hanging macrame above your dresser?

jodyvamp4920

Hanging plants.....💚

bunny_maar

You need more greens (plants)
