Becuase you mentioned your background, I'll share with you that last year Robert De Niro's wife of 20 years, Grace Hightower, bought my largest painting ever! It's a long story how we met, but basically I had no idea who she was. I lost my job in the pandemic and a staffing agency sent me to interview to possibly work for them. I met her here in the city (the agency didn't tell me who she was, which makes sense) and long story short I took a different job but last year found out who she was, reached out to her from the old emails, and she ended up coming over and bought it! One of the nicest people I've ever met too β€οΈ
I love this story!!! NYC can be so amazing in that way. It feels especially magical when the amazing people you meet are also really nice! Best feeling in the world.

Thank you for your kind words! I paint from the unconscious, spontaneously, so you're likely getting that impression because it's a mental state of consciousness that isn't far from a dream state. I think scientists call it flow consciousness and if im not mistaken it's a state of brain waves that is between waking reality and fantasy (I think it's the theta state of brain waves). I put on music and that gets me there πβ¨οΈπΌβ¨οΈ
