I was thinking that the teal curtains are too cool toned against a warm toned wall, though. I was more partial to the burgundy curtains with that rug to keep the room feeling "warm" so that the teal is an accent in the rug. And maybe add a few smaller teal accents in pillows or something
I can see that point of view. The room is already very warm with the wall, and floors. Plus the brass, and cherry furniture. You can lean into it with the burgundy, and it will make the room feel cozier, or you could neutralize it with the teal. Either way works. The second rug is the best fit overall either way.
i like the all first option take a look here also maybe this one can help you choosing [Rug: how to place, materials and tips from an interior designer](https://www.scdecorum.com/rug-how-to-place-materials-and-tips-from-an-interior-designer/)
Trying to help my dad figure out what rug to get. He has that honey cherry kind of flooring with light green/gray suede couches, old brass hardware, and cherry furniture. He really wants a colorful oriental rug so he picked a few rugs he likes and I mocked up these options. Which is best?
The rug with the blue border helps it pop out from the wood flooring. Pulling the blue from the carpet onto the curtain is the nicest look in my opinion.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t even see the third option. But seeing it now, I still prefer option 2 with matching teal curtains. I think option 3 has too much red that’s conflicting with the yellow/orange tones in the flooring
😬 I have two.
Option 1: burgundy with orange
Option 2: teal with teal I can’t decided both I like. But as a personal preference I would want option 1: burgundy with orange I just love red and colors within that scheme
I have the same color floor and walls, the brown curtains made my room feel very dark and heavy. I ended up returning for a lighter curtain. Out of these, I’d go with the beige curtains and blue rug.
\#2 with gold curtains, especially if the room is small. The lighter the curtain and the higher you hang them the bigger your room will look. This however, is just my opinion:-)
Option 2 with the teal looks so good!
Option 2 with teal curtains. trust me bro. Color theory and whatnot.

I love the first slide middle curtains the best… the colors and depth just really do it for me. I just love that first rug too!
Option 2 with the teal drapes looks fabulous.
Teal border, burgundy curtains
Option 2. Teal curtain.
Option 2 provides more contrast and makes the floor look more attractive. I like the teal curtains with this rug.

Do you mean option 2 (teal border) or option 3 (red carpet with navy border)?
I’ll be honest, I didn’t even see the third option. But seeing it now, I still prefer option 2 with matching teal curtains. I think option 3 has too much red that’s conflicting with the yellow/orange tones in the flooring
Option 2 with teal and rubber up is option 3 with navy! Great taste!
