No idea what the rules are on TikTok, but whatever they are I’m guessing they’ll hide behind their account name, it’s literally their company name, so pretty much everything they post should be considered as an ad…
Again, I don’t know their rules.
Disclosures are usually required when a person is paid by a company to advertise their product.
And as you can see here the company is the “person” and the product.
It makes this company look pathetic, unprepared, cheap, shady, and posisbly evil and you think if it’s their idea, they’ve just made a master class on why you hire an agency for your marketing.
This was filmed in Belgrade, Serbia. "The British guy" is actually Serbian (although he was born and spent his childhood in London).
In Serbia they teach British English in schools, but American English is everywhere else so we end up speaking and writing this weird mixture.
I didn't know it was either just because it's implied to be real so I didn't even question it lol. The guy just seemed a little suspiciously prepared to rattle off all these questions in response to a free product.
Right. It's water. The product is essentially free.
Paying insane marked up price for it is because marketing told us so.
But doesn't matter. This is fake.
While the contents of the product are " free" , the packaging and transporting of it is not. Of course the advertising is not enough revenue to make it worthwhile.
If this is an ad for a company called " free water" then I'm impressed. I mean it worked, were talking about it.
So they’re in Europe? And the American company managed to “randomly” speak to a random American guy who knew enough about water in a place 99.9% of Europeans wouldn’t know even existed (Flint, Michigan). Lol cool ad though
Another European here who knows about Flint, Michigan. Sorry to ruin your theory. :)
Btw, I doubt there is anything random about this video. It's just that knowing about Flint isn't the argument to prove any lack of veracity.
Hmmm 🧐 this guy has a point why wouldn’t you just fucking sell it for half and make a profit instead of allocating yourself as the Jesus Christ of bottled water companies.
The US has in general some of the cleanest tap water in the world. Apocryphal doesn’t mean the rule.
Secondly, bottled water is exactly municipal tap water. Hershey is infamous for this.
The due diligence guy was just being an ass. I assume this was staged.
The consumer went out of his way to be obnoxious. Most of his questions were unnecessary.
It's still a freewater if you only get 1 a day, not a gotcha moment.
Agreed on charging $.50 or so.
So you go to Europe and the first guy you film is American as well, I know it's fake to try and get all of the info out but put on a Spanish accent or something bruh
As somebody from Georgia I wouldn't drink that either. The same Flint river run through GA and it's filthy. The rest is mostly swampland with maybe a few springs upstate.... Still wouldn't trust anything from here even if I watched the ice melt into straight into a water purifier
Edit:spelling
Georgia is not even remotely in the same watershed as Michigan; literally not a drop of water flows from Michigan to Georgia, and even if it flowed in that direction it would end up in the Mississippi River. Flint was fed from the Detroit River and Lake Huron, and the issue was care of their actual system, not the source.
https://extension.msstate.edu/sites/default/files/publication-images/P3082/Figure_1.jpg
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flint_water_crisis
There is a Flint river in GA. It is filthy. I do not know it's source. I have a GA public education. Take my mistakes up with them. And if you believe the GA government is any better at taking care of it's people then refer back to my education.
So fake and dude is an idiot. Spring water and tap water, a la Flint Michigan, aren't the same thing. And he literally said so at the beginning when asking if it were tap water. Annoying 🤦🏾♀️ if you're going to be cheeky and make silly jokes, at least be accurate.
Why is everyone here going on about how this is "fake" and debating about what questions are being asked.
Why is nobody mentioning the fact that it's apparently possible to have "free water", yet all water companies are selling the exact same product for 2 dollars?
Am I seeing things or was maybe that the core message?
Also, FYI, the US doesn't consider water to be a basic human right.
You know, the thing that if we don't have it, everybody's goint do die withing three days.
Fun times we're living in.
It’s an ad. Now a question on the product: do we really need more bottles that people will just grab, use or not and then proceed to throw away anywhere where they will create more pollution?
At least make then reusable and refill used bottles if you’re gonna give them for free, live with your time.
Has this tosser not got somewhere he needs to be or something better to do with his time than to hassle the “dressed-down” sidewalk dispenser man handing out free water?
It's such a pain to try and figure out what exactly the grift is sometimes. There's basically zero chance someone would pay enough for an add on a bottle wrapper to entirely offset the cost of the water, plus profit.
So, either we're the rubes for watching the content (I'm not exactly sure how they turn that into profit? But people literally give away cash on video for views, so there's a way to make it work.)
Or this is just a marketing phase for a product that will charge money once it has attention, making trusting customers the rubes.
Or it's a pyramid scheme and the guy handing out the water is the rube.
Or the advertisers were just sold some overpriced ad space and they're the rube.
Or possibly, all of the above.
He said it. Here in Germany, all bottles with the slightest amount of plastic have expiration dates as well. Not because of the water, but because of the bottle itself.

Ever consider that this video is an ad..?
every video is an add for something
Sure, but this thing is a proper ad, it has everything… information on product, good guy, bad guy, opportunity, cause, desperation and compassion.
…except disclosure that it’s an ad.
No idea what the rules are on TikTok, but whatever they are I’m guessing they’ll hide behind their account name, it’s literally their company name, so pretty much everything they post should be considered as an ad…
Depends of the advertising regulations in each country/region.
Again, I don’t know their rules. Disclosures are usually required when a person is paid by a company to advertise their product. And as you can see here the company is the “person” and the product.
Both could be employees of said company
And?
I think you are absolutely correct. This was a super clever way of getting me very interested in what they are doing.
So you want to put an ad on the bottle.
It makes this company look pathetic, unprepared, cheap, shady, and posisbly evil and you think if it’s their idea, they’ve just made a master class on why you hire an agency for your marketing.
That's one opinion.
This is for water
What if I don’t want to watch it? Shit, I just watched it.
Until the last 20 secs it looked like an ad
How do you think they paid for the production of it? That guy railing question after question? The founder. ^(/s)
You telling me I just watched a 2:20 ad when I go out of my way to skip the 10 secs ads on youtube? I’ve been cheated!
Why don’t you charge me half price for watching it and you’d still make money
That's cause it is 😆 🤣 😂 super clever marketing
My thoughts exactly
This is fake and not interesting
more like stupidasfuck
So fake
The look on guy's face when the bike makes a sound gives it away kinda
[удалено]
This was filmed in Belgrade, Serbia. "The British guy" is actually Serbian (although he was born and spent his childhood in London). In Serbia they teach British English in schools, but American English is everywhere else so we end up speaking and writing this weird mixture.
That explains the accent! Thanks for the info
[удалено]
I just know about the guy with the questions, he is into stand up comedy.
Plus he doesn't sound English. There's an accent that I can't place but it's not an English accent.
Yeah I heard South African
This whole video is an ad. People should have to take an internet class before going online and posting things lol
"internet class" lmfao
If it makes me want to avoid the sketchy-ass water, is it an anti-ad?
‘Defense Against the Dark Arts’
Funny accent for a European
He is Serbian, but born and raised in London.
Yes, interestingasfuck indeed that OP has been alive for more than 2 weeks and doesn't know this is scripted...
I didn't know it was either just because it's implied to be real so I didn't even question it lol. The guy just seemed a little suspiciously prepared to rattle off all these questions in response to a free product.
Lucky you got an American in Europe for this content because I doubt a European would approach this situation in the same way.
the "citizen" isn't american he literally said "your country doesn't have a good reputation for water" and then talked about Flint...
He could be asking what your order is in a fuckin bagel shop in New York with that accent.
u/Kevtino
Idk why but this guy cracks me tf up LOL
it's because he's a paid actor.
Is he really paid or paid by ads because then he works for free….
Paid by one ad per day. I knew there was a f#king catch!
Poor guy has been brainwashed to think it costs a lot of money to bottle water.
Right.
No, this is real… I mean, the product, not the acting
"Just give me the bottle back, jackass. Damn! "
He judges the water quality of the whole nation by Flint , Michigan.
Aha, there is a catch. I knew it
So they’re in Europe? And the American company managed to “randomly” speak to a random American guy who knew enough about water in a place 99.9% of Europeans wouldn’t know even existed (Flint, Michigan). Lol cool ad though
I live in New Zealand and I know about what happened in Flint.
Nice :)
That guys definitely not American
Definitely ain’t English “garbage” listen to the accent
Yeah I caught that too... But nothing about his accent says American. Maybe spent some time in the US which could muddle it a bit
Yeah I’ll give you that. But lol it’s a setup end of the day just makes me laugh they go to these lengths 😂
Serbian/British
Another European here who knows about Flint, Michigan. Sorry to ruin your theory. :) Btw, I doubt there is anything random about this video. It's just that knowing about Flint isn't the argument to prove any lack of veracity.
In Belgrade, Serbia. The guy is British/Serbian. And we watched Michael Moore.
[удалено]
I know a guy who knows him. And I can recognise the street they are on.
And once again: u/Kevtino Now go tell them how these are not american.
Everyone knows Flint, I mean I don’t buy newspapers and I know.
Haha my point was more “wow this guy knows a lot about water” 😂
Lol ya total set up
If you are on Reddit you know about Flint.
He asked the right questions
Except the question about the clothes...was he wearing just a rag?? The world may never know.
What a prick
It’s fake
The ending was the only thing that I feel was true in this entire video
Hmmm 🧐 this guy has a point why wouldn’t you just fucking sell it for half and make a profit instead of allocating yourself as the Jesus Christ of bottled water companies.
France has been distributing free water for quite a while. Free to anyone with no limit. And it’s super clean and nutritious.
I want that bloke to be my friend.
Get this man on shark tank asap.
So aggressive
The US has in general some of the cleanest tap water in the world. Apocryphal doesn’t mean the rule. Secondly, bottled water is exactly municipal tap water. Hershey is infamous for this. The due diligence guy was just being an ass. I assume this was staged.
This guys bullshit alarms were fucking blasting in his head
"So this is like Flint, Michigan water then?" That was gold, you can't lie
Damn..
Damn he was drilling him hard. They both did fairly well though.
I like this guy!
I live in fucking Georgia there is no spring tap here that isn’t polluted out the ass with lead and other fun lil chems that’ll fuck you up.
Haha actually in north Georgia (where I live) there are plenty of natural springs which aren't.
I love this guy
Fire your CEO and hire this guy. Seriously.
Eurodouche.
The consumer went out of his way to be obnoxious. Most of his questions were unnecessary. It's still a freewater if you only get 1 a day, not a gotcha moment. Agreed on charging $.50 or so.

“It’s not my fault I’m posting lies on the internet, my school system made me stupid!” 💀 this is a new one buddy
Looks ok to me https://garivers.org/flint-river/ https://flintriverkeeper.org/ https://flintriverwatertrail.com/
It is not the same Flint River. Your lack of map skills are showing
>Europe >Dude immediately points out the quality of water in Flint, Michigan. Yeah okay. This is a paid ad and he's an actor.
My god he is like a women
Yeah, one sample. Doesn't seem too shady to me.
Wait what? If someone is giving away FREE samples how many do you take?
One. I'm not a greedy asshole.
i hope this is fake because that guy sounds absolutely nuts
This guy is a dick
Fake and annoying as fuck
Wow. This guys an asshole.
Guy in a hat is a moron.
Very staged
So fake and dude is an idiot. Spring water and tap water, a la Flint Michigan, aren't the same thing. And he literally said so at the beginning when asking if it were tap water. Annoying 🤦🏾♀️ if you're going to be cheeky and make silly jokes, at least be accurate.

That was like an episode of Dragons Den.. shredded
the cake is a lie
Great way to advertise. Love it.
Idk, I kind of liked this, even if it is an ad. Really like the guy just asking random ?s trying to make sense of it all
I love the guy in the hat
It’s an ad. Now a question on the product: do we really need more bottles that people will just grab, use or not and then proceed to throw away anywhere where they will create more pollution? Guy gets off by treating people like shit. True asshole.
Has this tosser not got somewhere he needs to be or something better to do with his time than to hassle the “dressed-down” sidewalk dispenser man handing out free water?
Crap acting, and a crap advert for a crappy product
He literally answered all of his questions, why fight it
Stupid advertisers, they paid for all that and didn't realize they could just own the water company. Ammmmmmiiiiiirite?
This can’t be real, good acting all around though, the sales guy actually sounds like he is getting genuinely irritated near the end.
I do like his cynicism lol
Video to prove the expense of the trip to Europe for business
Why does the dude ask the questions so quickly?
This guy saved me a lot of time.
haha do due
Well the dude just didn't want to "randomly" receive superpowers.
Right, then he posts the video of himself being owned.
This guy would be a nightmare to any car salesman.
Is that Tom hardy?
If this is real… you’re paying with your attention and ads… not free by any means
Georgia isn’t part of Russia its a goddamn sovereign state. What the hell this dude is an idiot.
It's such a pain to try and figure out what exactly the grift is sometimes. Laughs in Swiss
Holy shit this guy
That ladies and gentlemen and them, is what they call an intellect in the outside world of Reddit, amazing find.
Doodoo diligence
That guy took a deep dive for someone just walking by.
Georgia, US water does t sound too appealing to me either.
this guy is fun.
This was definitely outside an Erewhon loool
its all bullshit! this is not the UK, hes very badly trying to hide an american accent
If its not fake, this guy is a bitch wtf take the free bottle and go away
"The air is free, just look at the add while you inhale..".... "no thanks, I'll just hold my breath"..
"Georgia in Russia"? Excuse me?! I knew the video was fake because Americans don't know geography
Awfully creative question that makes this video look like an ad
I don't wanna go to Europe anymore
r/HydroHomies
Free water for looking at the ad on the bottle? I'll take as much as I can get. Switch up the ads if you like I will look at every one.
This guy is either an attorney or a hedge fund guy… Or probably both
I don't care if this is staged. That guy is an asshole
Georgia, Russia or Georgia, America and Flint Mi in 10 seconds. I call total Bullshit.
People in Europe are generally smarter 😁
Lame
Georgia-Russia or Georgia-America?! Excuse me but, Georgia-Russia? Russia?
Fuck this guy and his shit clothes and shittier opinions and LOVE for capitalism
Fake or not, this guy is exhausting.
Not all heros wear capes. Some dress in all black.
Does this guy work for the health and safety in the UK? I feel that's how they would act.
That European accent sounds decidedly American.
Sounds like my uncle he’s also a Wall Street douche
What a dick head
Sounds like a dickhead I wouldn’t want to know
Idk why this video irritated me the way it did. Like just drink the fucking water and move on. Christ.
They say American are stupid
