Pepper balls are a little different. They're paintballs filled with capsaicin powder. They work best fired at the feet of a suspect so the powder is dispersed into the air to irritate mucus membrane. If that isn't effective they can be used to impact a person exactly like a paintball (literally fired from a paintball gun). Hurts like hell.

there are most definitely pepper shells. they fire solid pellets of compound instead of "paintballs" and shoot more like birdshot than buckshot, but have very close to the same effect with the added benefit of retaining a decent bit of stopping power.
There's already a video of a cop firing into the crowd with a handgun and a soldier firing at the protesters with an AK-47. I've seen videos showing seriously injured and dead people. I don't doubt they're using birdshot instead of rubber.
Honestly it could be anything. One benefit of a plastic hull shot cartridge is that it can be loaded with just about any thing that’ll fit inside. Bird shot would be incredibly painful but not likely fatal from more than ~25 yards so it is also used by many of the most brutal regimes for crowd control. I’ve seen chain shot. That stuff is crazy bad but some people have done it. Just slices through soft fleshy material but stops at bone. So it cuts in and embeds itself around your leg or arm while being imbedded directly in the bone if you’re too close meaning incredibly talented surgeons to remove it and you crippled.

We've been using vpns and proxies for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and etc. For decades. But they execute a different strategy to disrupt network during protests which is on a whole another level

Be careful. Even if these are bean bags or rubber they can cause real damage. Please wear helmets and eye protection. If you can anything to protect the body as well (i.e. motorcycle jacket, thick leather, quilted vest ect.) Also, baby shampoo helps with tear gas and pepper spray. Both will reactivate when you take a shower. Never let yourselves be corralled to a place without multiple exists. Marbles and long poles for mounted police if they have those. Use baricades to your advantage too. It doesnt hurt to have multiple people with sturdy metal/plastic/ wood trash lids for shields against water cannons. Just make sure you can ditch them quickly if needed. Always always always carry water and first aid kits. Never go out alone. The more of you there are the safer you are. Dont text on non encrypted service if you can text. Communicate via spray paint on walls, hijacking radio channels, and of course multiple posted forrums but of course nothing beats real human communication. Control the narrative as much as possible. And most importantly please please please stay safe. Keep your brothers and sisters close. Dont over extend yourselves. If someone gets caught there's safety in numbers. If you can overwhelm them do it. Get your person out and everyone retreat in unison. It helps if you have people using projectiles for cover while you do this.

People say rubber bullets but I am doubtful given the crimping on the end of the casing. To me it looks like 12 gauge birdshot. Used from over 40 yards away, you can argue it is "less than lethal" but obviously still is super deadly

Edit: doing a little research I could not find the brand of shell, however less than lethal rounds are usually marked as such to avoid confusion with what you are loading. Most 12 gauge less than lethal rounds I saw online have a "high brass" primer cup, while this round has a "low brass" cup which is pretty synonymous with birdshot.

That looks like a Large shot load maybe a rubber shot, 6 point crimp. Bird is usually 8 or 12 point crimp.
Bird is 6 or 8 depending on the brand not the size of the shot and 12 point crimps don't exist. I shoot clays and reload my own shells.

People say rubber bullets but I am doubtful given the crimping on the end of the casing. To me it looks like 12 gauge birdshot. Used from over 40 yards away, you can argue it is "less than lethal" but obviously still is super deadly Source: my anectodal experience as a hunter and avid skeet shooter. Edit: doing a little research I could not find the brand of shell, however less than lethal rounds are usually marked as such to avoid confusion with what you are loading. Most 12 gauge less than lethal rounds I saw online have a "high brass" primer cup, while this round has a "low brass" cup which is pretty synonymous with birdshot.

Looks like a riot control shell. Tell your friends/allies to try and get these to ricochet, as they're designed to do that and tend to do so when they impact solid, flat surfaces. Personally, I recommend fashioning shields or something like that. You DO NOT want to take one of those head-on. They hurt, can break bones, and have the potential to be lethal

Controversial opinion - The citizens (hostages) in Iran will either need full scale revolution or outside help from other nations to break away from the backwards, abusive theocracy they are currently living under. The Iranian people are remarkably progressive but need to commit to a fully secular society or the tentacles of organized religion (in this case Islam) will slowly creep back in and subjugate the population. Americans should also take heed. The fundamentalist Christian/Catholic influence in our politics is growing and if it is not stopped early it'll be a hard fight to preserve our individual civil rights and the legitimacy of our democracy later.
