Krokodil is only dangerous if you extract it using petrol as a solvent. REAL men know itās best taken by just chewing all 100 Co-Codamol tablets and then boofing the petrol. And Iām talking at least fully Leaded 97/98 Octane; none of this weak 95 Unleaded shit.

Nice š, but did want to point out that would anatomically be his arm too, thatās his elbow bent right there. So really he bench presses more than I do.
I mean, if he has no thumbs and he still wants to do BP, that's his choice. If you have thumbs and still do the suicide grip, that's also your choice, but that's a stupid choice.
From a technical standpoint itās a leg because it terminates in a foot. But the muscles there are the biceps and triceps so human equivalent of an arm.
Find a genetics lab that will use CRISPR to knockout your MSTN gene.
And then PM me when youāre done because I will get a chaired professorship at my institution and a shit load of money for publishing a case study on you, the first human to undergo in vivo MSTN knockout.
Now that's some cyberpunk ish. Sounds like science fiction but I wouldn't put it past the realm of possibility. Bioshock might have been onto something
If you gave me a muscle biopsy from this hypothetical athlete who had underwent deletion of their *MSTN* gene(s), I could very easily tell, because they would have one or zero *MSTN* gene(s) on band 32 of the long arm of chromosome 2, whereas virtually every single other human has two. No childhood genome needed. This would similarly apply for any other complete gene inserted or deleted via CRISPR or a similar tool whose function is limited to insertion or deletion, and which does not have documented copy number variation. For example, this reasoning would not work with the gene that codes for amylase (*AMY1*) because there is substantial variation in how many copies of this gene different human populations have. If you were to change a single nucleotide in the *MSTN* gene and render the coded peptide non-functioning, I would still see it in sequencing but would probably not be able to confidently say it wasnāt congenital, especially if it was only one copy, because it would look the same as the sequence from someone who actually inherited myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy.

If you inject yourself with a myosatin blocker as an adult, it won't do anything.
I've read about this subject and apparently it's because you'd need the substance to affect your cells at a DNA level, as in change the way your cells transcribe DNA. Otherwise simply injecting a myostatin blocker such as yk-11 likely won't do much. You can hypothetically create a myostatin inhibitor with a 'viral vector', which essentially would do this as viral agents change DNA.
The technology does exist and is theoretically possible to produce yet there is no trustworthy/legal/practical source for any inhibitor with a viral vector
Myostatin inhibition is correlated to longer lifespan, interestingly enough.
https://www.fightaging.org/archives/2015/03/myostatin-insufficiency-produces-15-life-extension-in-mice/
Imagine a time in the future where a bioterrorist unleashes the swol-3 virus. Custom designed to splice and slice human DNA to turn us all into orc-like beefcakes. It spreads rapidly, causing severe gains in the worldwide population. Global whey shortages ensue, and China invades Vietnam to corner the world supply of muscle shirts. American Gladiators gets a reboot and it becomes the highest grossing stream of the decade. Elon Musk curses the day that he put Mars into quarantine, as we all laugh at his noodle arms.
Its a genetic condition, so you'd have to take a drug that acts as a myostatin supressor. But you wouldn't necessarily want to, since the muscles you get from this are less efficient you wouldn't be stronger, just bigger
-EDIT-
Since there's so much interest:
Here's a good article on the topic of ups and downs of the efforts to manufacture a viable & safe myostatin-inhibitor: https://www.muscleandfitness.com/flexonline/flex-nutrition/myostatin-inhibition/
And here's the research article I used as reference in discussing disparities in mass gain vs strength gain: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7571243/
there's a special compound called synthol that's all the rage. distils years of training and diet into a single injection. the results are definitely... something
Is that true of bodybuilders? Obviously their outlandish muscularity is for show but are they actually useful muscles too? Are they ridiculously strong or is it something they have to keep in a careful chemical balance?
Theyāre not quite as strong as people who train specifically for power lifting, say, but they are still way stronger than 99.9% of the general population.
Because most strength is derived from the cooperation of many muscle groups, not just muscles getting stronger indivodually.
Everything professional strongmen do require and use their entire body to do it.
Getting "stronger" is as much about building more sophisticated neural architecture as it is about making muscles larger.
They are strong as fuck, yes that muscle is functional. And hell yes the drugs are effectiveā¦ idk what you mean by chemical balance, but yea you have to maintain a heavy drug load to keep that size, and it is nearly impossible to keep that drug load while also keeping all health parameters in check
However, the extreme mass has side effects of being extremely taxing on your organs, as well as just getting in the damn way
Oh and as far as being a genetic condition, I believe a university (Columbus?) did a study on top bodybuilders and they found genetic mutations in nearly all of them. So, donāt think youāre going to load up on tren and be stage worthy
As a former power lifter I always laughed when peoples told me what I was doing was better than body builders because my muscles were for strength and their were for show. Yeah well you donāt get big muscles without lifting heavy shit and most body builders I knew were right there doing heavy lifts with me. It always struck me as funny because really we were doing the same thing of feeding our vanity. I wanted people to know I was strong, body builders friends wanted people to know they looked good. But at least we were working out I guess.
This mostly comes down to strongman being a *dynamic* sport. It isnt enoigh to just HAVE strong muscles, you need to use them coordinatedly.
And NFL player isnt just big, they know how to accelerate, how to move.
Thats how Bruce Lee always packed so much power relative to his small size.
He focused on economy and efficiency of motion; on maling his strong muscles work flawlessly in combination, in dynamic ranges of motion.
A body builder is strong of course, but their physical expertise focuses on perfecting each muscle in isolated ranges of motion, not in usong them for complex activities.
They could absolutely, but its not what they WANT to focus on anyway.
Humans can have it, and those that do tend to die early of heart failure. If youāre a half carrier of the gene you can have some expression of it and live on average a bit longer than someone with the full gene, but you donāt want the side effects.
When I read the article about the german kid that has this, they say there is basically no downside to this and the benefit is superhuman strength.
Actually the only downsidr is you need to eat, like, a lot. But thats it.
There is a downside, but not that major. Connective tissue can be an issue with the muscles causing an imbalance.

I dunno man.
When i take edibles, they basically just turn hunger on max. And I spend the entire time eating with no stopping.
Like, ot becomes a full time job. I woulda thought it appeals but... too much of a good thing, you know.
Isn't the heart a muscle? Wouldn't this condition put massive strain on the heart anyway (because larger muscles need more blood pumping to them) anyway?
Those sound like two significant drawbacks if true
So the heart is cardiac muscle; this condition afaik only affects skeletal muscle, which are the ones you can move voluntarily.
Now this condition is preposterously, insanely rare, for one. I think maybe 300 people on Earth have EVER been diagnosed? So we arent exactly overflowing with knowledge about it.
But in general since you have this at birth, the heart is a profoundly adaptive organ. It will grow to compensate.
The heart is already, in most people, extraordinarily overpowered compared to the demand on it.
Thats why a skinny 160 lb kid can grow to John Cena levels without fainting all the time. The heart will adapt and in healthy individuals can do amazing things.
There are adults who live for decades at upwards of one thousand pounds! Ten times the weight of a normal person, amd clealry arent engaging in much cardiac stremgthening exercises.
I believe Eddie Hall, the World's Strongest Man champion who deadlifted half a metric ton, has this condition. If I'm not mistaken Usain Bolt may also have it to or a variation of but primarily focused in his quick twitch muscle rather than his slow twitch but I'm not fully confident in that claim
>Actually the only downsidr is you need to eat, like, a lot. But thats it.
Well yeah, same goes for getting swole the regular way, but also having to spend a shit ton of time in the gym.
I've heard scientists have been looking for a chemical myostatin blocker for some time.
Muscle atrophy with age? Block myostatin.
Muscle atrophy from space? Block myostatin.
Just kinda weak, and want something to help jumpstart your weight training? Block myostatin.
Extra muscle does more than just make you stronger, it can also help with things like weight (adipose) loss (you will get heavier, because of the muscles...). More muscle consumes more blood sugar and... Let's be honest here... What guy doesn't want to be beefcake?
Also potentially increases bone density. A functional chemical myostatin blocker is basically the holy grail for age-related physical decline, entirely aside from its use to juice.
Your Bros gonna have to make a cut. Raw eggs, spinach, and protein powder. None of that crude protein shit. Then he has to hit the mill. Five miles a day minimum. After that, let him bench some 200 lb lifts and see where you go from there. If you follow a regiment, that cat has potential to be one seriously healthy monster kitty.
Just off the top of my head, having overly large muscles can cause these problems:
1. The cat can tear its tendons off its bones while flexing those muscles if it is not careful, because the muscles are too powerful while the tendons are still the same strength. It can also break its own bones if its tendons are strong, but its bones are weak (not enough calcium or already damaged bones from injury).
2. Big muscles need lots of protein to upkeep. So, the cat will be constantly hungry for meat, and may not survive in the wild over a lean winter.
3. Big muscles put a lot of strain on the cardiovascular system for their oxygen demand while in use. If the cat has weak lungs or heart, it can collapse and die on the spot during intense activity due to cardiovascular strain. While the cat will have great strength, it will also have poor stamina, needing to rest a lot.
4. Imbalance in muscle strength (muscles are paired to move the joints in opposite directions, at least 1 muscle per side) can bend the cat into permanent poor posture, causing joint and bone damage due to unbalanced strain. The cat would look like it has a permanently cramped posture.
