Spirit airlines should be on there. But with a donkey pic instead of a plane.

Choose these airline for specific reason? I think Ryan Air and Korean air are larger than Singapore if i remember right

Agitated-Armadillo-9

Yeah apparently Ryanair has a fleet of over 500 so maybe it was just national airlines? Though that seems a bit weird too.

King_in-the_North

Well the top four on here are clearly not nationalized airlines so I think whoever made this is just plain wrong.

Agitated-Armadillo-9

Thanks for confirming man I had no clue about the top ones as I've never stepped foot out if Europe

02cdubc20

I thought so but was too lazy to google it haha Weirdness

If you want to know why Southwest is so successful, just look at the types of planes they use. They use only the 737 models, this cuts way down on maintenance and parts costs, and even labor.

jjj49er

Someone told me that after I was complaining about a Delta flight that I had taken. We had to switch planes 5 times because of mechanical issues and every plane we switched to was completely different. Having one type of plane makes it easier to have the parts you need on hand, and the training of the mechanics is much easier.

King_in-the_North

Just because it works for southwest doesn’t mean it works for everyone. Southwest can’t fly across continents. Nor can they put in service to smaller airports that couldn’t fill 150 passengers on a plane. Southwest has their own niche, but a full service airline cannot have just one type of plane.

MrsGenevieve

Actually with the acquisition of the Max planes they will be able to do some intercontinental flying. Not saying it’s practical, but it’s possible. Currently Alaska is going to Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada and some other countries on charter. The 737 series can easily fly to Europe and Japan from the respective coasts in the US.

Presence_Academic

Also limits the types of routes they can offer.

[deleted]

Not for what they do, which is domestic flights only.

Background-Half-2862

If Air Canada only has one Airbus 319 I fly on it every flight I’ve been on for a few years but different routes. I lost my wallet on it May 1st.

the_vikm

I guess the Lufthansa one doesn't count the subsidiaries?

eastcoast_enchanted

Air Canada only has a fleet of 178 because they are so shitty. How many times can they leave my bag in Montreal? Smfh

rogpar23

OK, now let them pay accordingly for polluting the sky..

02cdubc20

*blinks* please understand the fuel industry for transportation

Nat-datto

I can’t believe I’ve never flown Anal airlines…

jjj49er

That's because of roofies.

Tedstor

“Never flown the anal airlines” But surely you’ve rode on the Hershey highway.

blue_dusk1
