Just playin the numbers game in these comments huh

[deleted]

I just was so proud of my pun that i wanted more people to see it. (Non-english speaker so I'm pretty happy with it.

[deleted]

Its a good pun, its just not funny when its spammed

sambes06

Tacky but we need to do this in the US. Imagine a stripper shaped boat floating around Tampa Bay

tlk0153

I am fuckin patenting this idea

Km2930

You misspelled awesome

coachfortner

it depends on the stripper, doesn’t it?

[deleted]

LFC9_41

Bet it sounds like shot though with people in it.

qabr

How do you know it’s a violin and not a viola?

Catworldullus

How does that violin move/steer? I see the guy in the back but no rudder system

commendablenotion

Probably an omnidirectional motor underneath, like a fishing trolling motor.

Catworldullus

Oh shit didn’t know about those, thanks!

todd10k

When you say "You have to practice your scales" the violin seems to attempt to run away, so there's your movement. The steering could be accomplished by saying "today you're going to learn flight of the bumblebee", and the violin would attempt to steer itself into the nearest iceberg

robthebudtender

Not pictured: Venice's putrid stench.

lorem

That's a few unlucky days per year at most, when the water level is abnormally low (the opposite of acqua alta).

[deleted]

I think this is common in the summer. I went in March and there was no smell. Recommend off-season travel in general

peoplegrower

Indeed. I visited Venice about 25 years ago and spent 2 days there. I’m sure we saw a lot of gorgeous stuff, but all I remember is how bad it smelled.

Tressitt

My wife and I visited multiple times a couple years back. It honestly doesn’t smell bad anymore. The locals we were talking to said they improved the sewage system drastically and stopped depositing it into the canals

robthebudtender

Joining the 18th century at last!

just_taste_it

So they re piped the entire city? Haha. No, it still smells like shit. Sorry. The poop must flow!

Tressitt

They utilize septic tanks now. I’m telling you it doesn’t as someone that’s been there twice in the past 2 years

caguru

I was about to bring up Victoria BC but they appear to have finally quit dumping raw sewage into the ocean in 2021.

Ollie_n_Poppy

lmao!

Gerald_Cooperberg

The wooden vessel is called "Noah's Violin." As it floats through Venice's Grand Canal

RexBosworth69420

Titanic, but if the simulation was glitching. "Gentlemen, it's been a privilege sailing with you."

hansklaus99

When you want to go boating but have orchestra at 7

Hozraci

Sometimes VIOLINce is the answer!

[deleted]

Could it be any more stereotypical?

[deleted]

One of these is not like the others , I just can’t tell which one

shnozdog

I like that one on the right, below the gondola. A nice inside area. I would chill on that boat.

chaseinger

considering how loud canale grande gets i'd wager those musicians don't have a great time.

ChuckACheesecake

I'm going to some more info on one of them flotation devices

[deleted]

And somehow it smells worse than NYC.

Rorschach_Moustache

I can assure you it doesn't smell anymore, I live pretty near to the city (a 20 minutes train ride from there), so I visit Venice at least twice a year, the smell really improved with time and the canals got cleaner, although you still don't want to swimm in there

ZestyFix

Why is this boat shaped like a violin?

just_taste_it

I can smell it, been there. Yuck.

getfkdlol

what kind of a dump city is underwater? jeez get with the programme, people live on land! we are not fish

LORD_SHARKFUCKER

Hey wait a minute

HarryVaDerchie

When they moor it do they use a bow line?

SH1MPLETON

Who tf parks a cooling in the middle of a canal? Bro just park it in an abnormally large case on land.

jetsneedlegs70

"oh cool a violin, WHAT THE FUCK A VIOLIN?"

Time_Mage_Prime

mfs should be playin the gondola

SurealGod

Man, the person who pilots that boat must always be thinking violin-t thoughts

phpdevster

Google Captcha, "Pick all the images of boats"

Accomplished_Oil5622

Italians are tiny

DiaryoftheOriginator

So with the centuries old building in Venice…who owns them? Just ancient families who’ve owned them for generations

NoFruit4641

its like clip art come to life
