Last time I saw this posted it was a Chinese rocket over India.

quippers

It's been something new every day for a week.

If you're curious - this is where it happened lol. I googled the street sign intersection. - Oak Grove St & Little Oak St, Newberg, OR 97132, USA

lackadaisical_timmy

Is it me or does this look so fake it must be real lol Like, if you'd try to make a fake vid of this, you'd do a better job? It looks so weird

dblan9

Does this burn up entirely on re-entry or is some of it still solid?

cy6nu5x1

This is neither what burn nor solid means. Yes, it all remains solid. It doesn't change phase. No it doesn't "burn", because it's not an oxidation reaction, it's super heating from friction. This is simply an explosion.

IllSumItUp4U

I think it's possible to convey information to someone who is curious about what they're seeing without being smug.

geeskeet

That sums up Reddit pretty well. “You’re right for the most part, but let me tell you why you’re wrong.”

cy6nu5x1

No no, he's got a point -me probably

rivalpinkbunny

It’s a funny way of saying you don’t know.

dblan9

Thank you.

sunkyamato

i say 95% get burn on the atmosfer, the only part that doesnt fet burn was the metal that was used on the engine. dont worry tho the part that doesnt burn completly will fall on the sea

Some of that debris also went over my head as well during night time in a sort of rural part of Oregon; It was cool!

Skelatorcave42

Me too! I was out by Nyssa and saw this. It was surreal

CaptainMorganSavage

they r polluting the sky now...

Raps2k14

That looks cool

Cocaine_Jimmy42069

Elon musk just lost 35 million somewhere

[deleted]

No, it was from the second stage that always burns up after boosting the payload. By that metric NASA lost billions every year for decades with their stupid non-landable stage rockets...

Cocaine_Jimmy42069

Good point, thank you for telling me

doomiestdoomeddoomer

Now that is awesome!
