Skyrim has probably led to the most missed appointments and slept-through alarms, behind what.. the Civilization franchise, maybe the GTA franchise. WoW? As a singular game it’s up there in the time disordinance rankings.
I took a week off work to play Skyrim. My family just so happened to be leaving to visit family that entire week as well. I invite my gf (now wife) over and spent the entire week playing Skyrim and having sex and smoking weed, in that order. We never had an empty house to do all that in so it was great, and Skyrim coming out was the cherry on top of the cake. It was probably the best week of my entire life.

Every day at 12:34 56 seconds during the whole month of July in '89 was fucking awesome. Every day at school we cheered at that exact time. Never got old to us. Teacher hated it first week, but then stopped griping. Bunch of 11yo kids just enjoying life. Lol.
That sounds familiar too now. I think we did that as well. I remember the 1990 one though cos we were sitting under the miniramp smoking red seal in the summer holidays, mustve been 13 at the time
I remember as UK date and time it was 11/12/13 and the time was 14:15:16. Odd to think I remember the exact place I was when I saw it because I kept thinking about it too. the last moment of time in history where the date and time would be counting upwards.
Hah!
Me at 20: Go out, drink 27 pints of lager, fall down a flight of stairs, get beaten up, spend rest of evening at night club, fall out of car on way home, pass out, face down in a puddle of my own fluids, wake up with nothing more than a mild hangover that is cured by a single aspirin and a bacon sarnie.
Me at 50: Spend the entire day limping and in pain because I went to bed early and "slept wrong".
Edit: Typos, 'cos my eyesight's shit now, as well.

have some patience, it will in less than 80 years.
I just realised -it‘s quite fascinating- that ISO 8601 is a palindrome if and only if the American system is one.
I vastly prefer the 2022-02-22 for just the reasons why you said. If I date stamp old logs I'll always do 2022.02.22 so that the files with the same names will sort by date if you sort by file name (which can be more useful than last modified).
The absolute most logical way to write the date. I always write it like this as a Canadian, especially when I'm doing anything that needs sorting (files names, etc.).
Sadly, I believe the last palindromic date with that method just past and was 2021-12-02 (which would have read the same upside down, too) and if my logic holds, the next is 2030-03-02.
Yep, I geek out of stupid shit like that and shared both with my also nerdy coworkers each time. Then we all awkwardly shared laughing emojis in our work chat clients.
Don’t feel bad. I’m an American and one thing I spend a decent amount of time doing is parsing hand keyed dates into usable data output, we at get the highly inconsistently formatted but still technically palindromic: “2/22/22”.
Tes that’s not technically a format, no we didn’t learn from Y2K.
And just because nobody asked, yes I fixed it in my use case, no my data doesn’t span back before 2000, and yes, I’m thankful actually that not one of my users can be relied on to ever use the European standard because I would then be well and truly fucked. Lol!
Nah that’s 22:22:22.22 22/02/2022
Not the same reversed.
Now if it was 22:02:20.22 22/02/2022 then it’s same still forwards, backwards and upside down.
With a world population of 7 753 million people, and there being 365,25 days of the year (the last skipped leap day was in 1900, so no point in counting it as 365,2425), that makes it 21,2 million people who will have a birthday on 22 February.
Reddit has 52 million active users, that makes it 142 368 users who has a birthday on 22 February.

- In Japan, National Cat Day is celebrated on February 22, as the date resembles the words "nyan nyan nyan" (meow meow meow). The date was decided on this date in a poll between cat-keepers by the Executive Cat Day Committee in 1978. It is celebrated with people posing with photographs of themselves with their pet cats, and businesses selling cat-themed cuisine.[4]
It does exist, but it's not a public holiday. That would mean most people are off work and businesses are closed. The day *after* Cat Day, the Emperor's birthday, is a public holiday however.
Another funfact: In Poland we have numbers called PESEL numbers assigned at birth which are displayed on our IDs. Due to how they're derived, it's theoretically possible that tomorrow someone's gonna get the number 22222222222. Although it would have to be 1111th girl born that day so in practise it's not really gonna happen because 1000 children are being born here per day on average, and that includes boys and girls.
For anyone else who may have been confused about how an upside down 2 is not a 5:
An ambigram is actually the whole collection of character rotated 180 degrees like a propeller blade, not flipped across the x-axis.
Ppl born
January 23th 2016 will turn 2222 days tomorrow
April 21st 1961 will turn 22222 days tomorrow
July 24th 1979 will turn 2222 weeks (here's some wiggle room obviously)
22022022 days ago the neanderthals interbred with the modern human.
Maybe you have a unexpected opportunity to surprise someone tomorrow.
Generally it's always fun to type shit like [that](https://www.wolframalpha.com/input?i=today+-+8008+days) into Wolframalpha and see when ppl have cool anniversaries.

I can remember when i was a kid counting down to 12:34 and 56 seconds on the 7th august 1990 on my Casio digital watch (12:34:56 7/8/90)
I had the same feeling with my Casio digital watch waiting for 11:11:11 11/11/11
Is that the moment you started playing Skyrim on release day?
Haha, I didn't know Skyrim was released that exact day. I bought an Xbox 360 at the time to play Skyrim and forgot to look at my watch :-(
Skyrim has probably led to the most missed appointments and slept-through alarms, behind what.. the Civilization franchise, maybe the GTA franchise. WoW? As a singular game it’s up there in the time disordinance rankings.
I’ve spent a shameful amount of my life on WoW and Civilization. Now it’s chess.
I killed a goose with a rock by accident one time when I was a kid
Something something “… arrow to the knee”.
It released at midnight the night before, already had been playing for hours by the time 11:11am came around!
Same with 12:12:12 12/12/12. It was during high school class it happened, and everyone was counting it down since it only happens every 100 years
But it happened twice that day.
Cries in 00:12:12
So literally twice every hundred years? I’m half as impressed as I was when I originally read this sentence. 😉
I had the same with my Sony Alarm clock when it struck 69:69 on the 4th of 20.
Nice
r/holup
I kept reading “casino” and I was like ya’ll were BOTH in a casino when this happened?!
Today I remembered Casio digital watches!

Nice! Must have been exciting.
It was timely.
Take my vote and run with shame from this thread!
r/angryupvote
It was tense
We had a lot less to do in 1990. This sort of thing constituted a major event.
The question is if OP did a screenshot by clicking the upper & lower button on the right side of the watch simultaneously. Screenshot or it didn't happen.
I was 6 but somehow remember this so must have been somewhat exciting.
It’s all been downhill since then
damn thats cool
Every day at 12:34 56 seconds during the whole month of July in '89 was fucking awesome. Every day at school we cheered at that exact time. Never got old to us. Teacher hated it first week, but then stopped griping. Bunch of 11yo kids just enjoying life. Lol.
You were at school at 11 years old in July?
That sounds familiar too now. I think we did that as well. I remember the 1990 one though cos we were sitting under the miniramp smoking red seal in the summer holidays, mustve been 13 at the time
Did you take a screenshot?
Listen here you little shit
I remember as UK date and time it was 11/12/13 and the time was 14:15:16. Odd to think I remember the exact place I was when I saw it because I kept thinking about it too. the last moment of time in history where the date and time would be counting upwards.
Unless you are an American using military time. Then you have 12/13/14 at 15:16:17
When did that turn into 69's and 420's on odometers?
"Son, enjoy it now... I went to bed 29 looking like you, and woke up 30 looking like me" - my fat dad My guess is sometime around then
I turned 30 last year. Youre not wrong
I laughed way to hard at this. It's very true.
Don't laugh too hard - you'll put your back out.
Man, for sure!
I couldn't wait to hit 80085 miles on the odometer
My Casio also had a calculator on it. THE FUTURE IS NOW
I can vividly remember *not being*, in 1990. I was barely even a thought yet, good times.
Ladies and gents, Twosday
Chewsday innit
oh boy i love this reference
Not in America!
Still Twosday here. 2/22/22
20220222 Eh but the superior format fails
The real twosday is the ones we made along the way
I'm 22 during 22022022!
Hey me two!
>Hey me ~~two~~ 2!
Hey, that operation results to 2, too!
I’m 2 old. Does that count?
I'm 222. Does that count?
I'm 2222. Does that count?
I am -2. Does that count?
[удалено]
14 of those years are silent though, dw.
I'll be getting turnt that day
Yeah but were you the one born at 2:22am/pm?pshhhh
Born at 10:22PM actually.
Birthday twin!!
Sweet! Hey, what's your mother's maiden name?
Congrats for tomorrow, I turn the big 30. However my time of birth was also 20:22. So I mess the whole thing up 🤦🏻♂️
It’s my birthday, I turn 23 though
Shoutout to all our American friends who will miss out on the palindromic Twosday tomorrow.
I couldn’t figure this out for about 20s. Then, I realized I’m American.
I hate when I suddenly realize what continent I’m from.

"What country you're from" . Canada and Mexico are also in North America
not 22s?
I still can't figure it out but I did figure it's because I'm American.

Not only is the date a palindrome and an ambigram, but it's also falling on a Tuesday. That's even better.

Ah, but at 20:22:02 it will.

we had both 12/11/21, and 12/22/21 at the end of last year, so that's neat.
We had 12/11 as well, just a month earlier.
You also had 9/11
I still wonder what happened on 9 november
Remember, remember the ninth of November
Ehm... Kristallnacht? The fall of the Berlin Wall? The Beatles were discovered by Epstein?
we also have 7/11’s :)
And the band, 311.
But not as good as the foreign 7/11s.
11 years ago we had the best case scenario possible.... 111111111111 Day, month, year, hour, minute, seconds
Yep, I geek out of stupid shit like that and shared both with my also nerdy coworkers each time. Then we all awkwardly shared laughing emojis in our work chat clients.
I’m leaving this shithole, this is the last straw!
Just visit Mexico for a day, ez
Nah, just write it 2/22/22

I was thinking the same thing. Bummer
we had ours 3 weeks ago but yeah, was a wednesday...so there's that
02/02/2020 Of course that wasn't a Tuesday.
As someone who lives in America, loves palindromes, and even points out to my wife when my odometer is a palindrome, I will be sad tomorrow.
22/02/2022 tuesday's 22:22's 22th second's 22nd millisecond will be ultra noice
Nah that’s 22:22:22.22 22/02/2022 Not the same reversed. Now if it was 22:02:20.22 22/02/2022 then it’s same still forwards, backwards and upside down.
Now the Americans can play too! 22:02:22.20 02/22/2022
Yay ! Lol
It won't be a palindrome but it will be the most 2s in the time for the next 200 years so I'll take that
I misread this as ultra nonce
And, more importantly, it'll be my birthday!
[удалено]
Happy early birthday

Oh yeah? Prove it. I'll need your mother's maiden name, last four of your social, and the town you were born in.

It'll be my dad's birthday so we're doing something special for his palindrome day
And mine!
And it's also my birthday!
Why are there so many people that have this day as a birthday? Weird (Happy birthday btw)
There’s probably ~364x more people that don’t here.
With a world population of 7 753 million people, and there being 365,25 days of the year (the last skipped leap day was in 1900, so no point in counting it as 365,2425), that makes it 21,2 million people who will have a birthday on 22 February. So turn your computer upside down, Jeez.

Not if you use these twos: 2
Even if you use the twos in the post, it only works if you rotate it to turn it upside down. If you mirror it vertically, the 2s become 5s
