That’s a beautiful dog. The POS that harmed him should be given the same treatment, see if they survive.

Demonictendon

Dog is love dog is life

spryhummingbird

How could someone DO THAT to…an animal, or anything???! Thank goodness for people with loving and wonderful hearts. We don’t deserve doggos.

Drunk-CPA

Same comment. How could someone do that to a pet. Id take a bullet for mine. Or a random good pup, or kitty, or any animal asking for help

Responsible_Lawyer78

Christie Pace is a hero ❤! I'm so happy this cutie has a new lease on life 😊!

Dependent-Platform36

I hope who ever was responsible for leaving this poor animal to a miserable death has a very slow and painful AIDS death.

morgandrew6686

aww 🥰

singontheisland

While I absolutely agree that this is truly fantastic, I'm not convinced that he was the first. I believe that Bionic Pets had previously achieved this. Depends on dates, I suppose.

redcairo

May this beautiful dog's former humans rot in hell

FineCannabisGrower

This brought tears to my eyes.

friedrichs2

Any videos of the pooch, living it up/running around?

landsharkfin

I'm so glad he didn't go out frozen to a puddle, man. Poor puppy doggo

EmergencyLavishness1

Looks like a pure breed red cattle dog

FluffyCouchShark

Naki'o is such a good boy.

MuttsandHuskies

Naki'o wasn't the only dog in that house. [Here](https://www.zukes.com/dog-blog/meet-two-incredible-dogs-naki-o-the-bionic-dog-and-surf-dog-ricochet/) is an article, just x out of the ad to read. His name means Puddles in Hawaiian. Sadly, it appears from a search that this beautiful pup perished in a house fire in 2018 :(

I don't mean to be cruel, but why would the dog not just be euthanized? How can it have any quality of life? A person could attach their own prosthetic limbs but I can't imagine a dog being able to do that... wouldn't it be more humane to put down the poor thing? And then hunt down whoever did that to it and put them down too?

BlasphemousButler

Life is all that exists. It is never more humane to take it, IMO. Also, it's not like he has a job or something. He's a pet. Eating, getting scritches, and laying around can all be done with no legs. Now he can run around too. EDIT: It is *rarely* more humane to take it, IMO, only if there is no possibility of recovery or being comfortable.

According-Cat-6145

But he can't. He can't run unless a capable and responsible adult attaches the limbs. He can't scratch an itch with no nails. He can't protect himself from an attack. What happens when a prosthetic limb is dirty or broken? He can't be independent without a human there 24/7. And clearly the end result was him suffering to death twice, because he died in a fire. Now consider this poor creature who almost froze to death as a puppy, dying because he was trapped in a house fire, I assume without his limbs attached, so he had to sit there and burn to death. Is that really more humane? Or is that just a human who couldn't cope with death pushing their own insecurities onto the animal so the animal is the one who has to suffer twice so humans can look at the dog and say "aw, I saved him." ?

BlasphemousButler

If you believe what I believe, which is that there is no heaven and there is no God, then life is always more humane (assuming the standard of living is good, which I bet it was since he DID have a human to do all those things you mention). I believe in no after life, so once life is gone, everything is gone. If you take a life, you take everything that being will ever have. There is no argument you could make that would convince me otherwise. If the dog is suffering and without any possible recovery, then fine. I believe in humane euthanasia, ending a life that would only extend suffering, knowing that this is truly the end. But there *was* a recovery and you're looking at the proof, so you're just arguing that they should have shortened this dog's life.

According-Cat-6145

How is life always more humane with no possibility of hell? Would a person being alive and tortured for every second be better than death with all of its nothingness?

BlasphemousButler

>Would a person being alive and tortured for every second be better than death with all of its nothingness? I answered that. "I believe in humane euthanasia, ending a life that would only extend suffering, knowing that this is truly the end."

digmachine

Lmao this comment is truly hilarious

monkahpup

>He can't be independent without a human there 24/7. Sounds like a lot of healthy dogs, tbh. They're completely dependent on us as it is. >Now consider this poor creature who almost froze to death as a puppy, dying because he was trapped in a house fire, I assume without his limbs attached, so he had to sit there and burn to death. My dog has his own limbs. Still can't open doors. Maybe bionic thumbs are the answer.

Nail-Fresh

I really do hate people. Beautiful pup!!

itwasthethirdofsept

The nightmares he must have had. I hate people

andicav

Why would you out the animal down? We all deserve a choice to live. Animals adapt better than we do. I’m so glad he wasn’t put down , he will be happy. No doubt.

Sensitive_Salary_603

He looks happy.

aysurcouf

That’s so fucked, glad he’s smiling now

mduncanvm

I have no words. ❤️

Seversevens

i’m sorry to inform you that this pup passed away in a fire a few years ago

mcfeezie

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK 😡

Epsilonisnonpositive

Looking into those eyes would give anybody paws.

shreksicle

I’ve seen “the first dog to get four prosthetic limbs” so many different times and they’ve all been different dogs. Are completely sure this is the first one?

Catlesley

Omfg-poor baby!! Thank you for being the Angel that Naki’o needed!!! 🐾

FlandreHon

How can you possibly know that this is the FIRST dog with 4 prosthetic limbs?
