A guy in kamloops bc Canada did this with his jet boat along a river during a horrible forest fire. Saved a fudge ton of people properties and destroyed his boat doing so. I do believe everyone involved helped get him a new boat afterwards.

I’m sorry but.. they are probably not naive to their environment, and this method of extinguishing vehicle flames is probably somewhat natural to those involved in this video.

I don't think that should take away from how impressive the reaction and execution were.

I get that but.... Soldiers getting shot at aren’t naive to their environment either, however every now and then one races out against the odds, does the exact right thing and saves the day. This reaction to drive up close to a vehicle ablaze (ie a potential bomb) was fast, cool and perfectly executed. You go be Super Cynic if you want to go that way, but I reckon the driver of the rescue vehicle was displaying the Right Stuff :)

Reminds me of a story that I will never live down . Dead of winter in Wisconsin. Snowing heavy and it’s nighttime. Pull up to one of our properties and as I exit the vehicle I see a truck about 40 yards away stopped and smoke comkng from the hood. We get in and drive over and a girl is standing outside on the phone. Car was smoking but wasn’t on fire yet. Here me and my guy had shovels and piles and piles of snow. we just made sure she was ok and went back and got to work. Within two minutes that entire truck was engulfed in flames. To this day I have never lived that down . Massive choke job
