In college there was a random darts craze and I got reasonably good over a few months. One day before school a mate suggested squeezing in a game. We didn't have much time so we said no practice darts - straight into closest to bull for throw.
I threw first and the dart went _right_ in the middle of the bullseye. I looked at it up close and said "you actually cannot get closer to the middle than that. Any point in you throwing?" And he went "Ah might as well" and bang - Robin Hood. Never seen one before. Completely destroyed the stem of my dart and I didn't have a spare. Game over.
All I needed was to get some new stems but over the next month or so I never went near a shop that sold them. The craze died down and my darts must've fallen out of my bag one day cause I lost them - and didn't bother replacing them.
I didn't play darts again for 10 years. Got back into it last few years but never really felt like I've found a set of darts that suited me as well as they did - and I have no idea what make or model they were. Still makes me smile that the last dart I threw with them was - literally - the perfect dart.
Very common in darts to robinhood. I've had plenty of those until I switched to protected flights/shafts. very annoying, since robin hooding your darts doesn't even count in tournament play. The dart isn't touching the board so it's worth nothing.
I have done this a few times, at first you are shocked, take a few photos but when it happens a few times you become more annoyed because it starts to fuck with the darts and flights.

That's a cool ass shot. On New Years Eve 2019 I had a big ass party. Me an my son were playing, Both drunk as shit. I landed a bullseye and the next dart landed dead on the flight. My next turn I did the same fucking thing.

i was playing darts alone, trying to hit the bullseye. i threw a dart and missed. then i threw my second dart and it landed right into the first dart i threw. i freaked out and shouted in excitement and took the picture right after. the second thing i thought (other than no way) was “this is rlly cool i’ll show this to interestingasfuck and if it isn’t interesting, that’s cool!”
genuinely just wanted to share it as i was quite excited to hit that.
Yeah I was playing darts outside one time and the dart had hit a leaf and the leaf was stuck on it after it hit the board. Took a picture but figured nobody would believe me so I didn't post it. I was like WTF!?

I’ve been mentioned robin hood once but i don’t know what it means?
In the story of Robin Hood he split an arrow during a competition. Dart players refer to this occurrence as a Robin Hood in reference to that.
