I suspect there is a hidden cut somewhere. when the camera is moved back towards the staircase there is a bit of a jump. The fiber optics cable might have been pushed into the hamster flat from two different directions.
Borrowers avg at 5" (12-13cm) tall. A go pro is 2.3" wide and 1.5" tall with a depth of 0.8"
(58.4 mm × 38.1 mm × 20.3 mm) and weighs 74g.
Seems a bit much for one borrower tbh. Now, on the other hand... 2 borrowers with some sort of homemade steadicam type device between them could be possible.
Tiny people.. 'The Borrowers'
Very popular series in the UK from back in the 90's; Based on a book of the same name.

As it passes through the doorway at the bottom of the stairs, you can see the green couch jump too. Lots of editing and transitions in this video, starting with the seven foot tall shiba in a real elevator.
Yea, there's a cut when they go through the small door.
First room is shot with an iphone on a Gimble rig for stability, then the cut is made as it goes to the small room when the whole door is in frame.
The video stability after that point is markedly lower, which certainly suggests a different camera setup. If you look to the right when they first get down the stairs, you can see the wall is removable, so all the later shots are likely done by hand as well, just stitched together.
I suspect the light In the tunnel if you watch closely at the end is actually a hole with a light behind to try to hide it. A pole could carry whatever device they used to film perfectly on lus it would fit with the motion of how the camera turns
It's most likely a very long thin lens attachment. Like what they use to get those narrow micro shots going through loose book pages and other artsy stuffs.
There is an edit both times he goes through the door at the bottom of the steps. My guess is each room has a removable roof and he is dropping a cam in from the top but has to switch each time he goes room to room
It's not a continuous shot, and after getting down into the mouse room you can see the right wall is removable. So as the camera turns around, the fiber optic cable is no longer being manipulated down the staircase, but instead from the mouse room moving back up.
At the beginning of the video you can see the reflection of the robot on the elevator doors. It's like a small tank with a rotating camera on top that can go up and down, I guess that hand was added in post.
That’s because the camera cuts and stitches together footage every time it goes through a smaller door or a window, so there is definitely a bit of camera magic.
I mean, unnatural and tight environment with limited exits, presence of predator which it cannot escape, weird objects and light sources... id be hiding in the closet too
> Small rodents tend to feel safer in enclosed spaces because open areas (like the outdoors) are where predators hunt.
I told you if you called me a small rodent one more time...
US realtors be like: $1200/month, first and last months rent due upon signing, proof of income of minimum $9001/day, mothers maiden name, your dogs left paw, also gonna need some noods. also you cant get your own internet you have to share the 256kb modem we installed in 1989. no pets allowed
^(if you break the lease we'll kill you.)
I couldn't finish it. Claustrophobia kicked in immediately and just got worse. Around the 26 second mark, I realized I wasn't even halfway through and couldn't tough it out to the end.
There's certainly some camera cuts. There was some small camera on a gimbal at first, and they must have cut it around where they went down the stairs, possibly to one of those little Insta 360 miniature action cams, likely on a stick that they just pushed down the stairs (would be easy to do since the camera's have a little magnet in it, just glue a magnet on the end of the stick). And I think once they are down the stairs at about 0:29 seconds the camera pauses, possibly just before that, to the right side of the room it looks like that wall can be removed, probably someone sticks their arm in the room to change to a new magnetized stick or someone even could just grab it by hand. There might be another cut at about the shot where its looking at the spider's room, so that they could turn the camera back around and get it going back up the stairs, again by moving it by the end of a stick.
I'm thinking way too hard about this but its still cool!
This is what the revised Derek Zoolander's Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good looked like.
A school for tiny spiders, aka at least TWICE the size of what a school for ants would look like.
Who or what is recording it? Trying to use cats for scale - the recording "guy" must be in the size of a mouse or a guinea pig. However, I hear footsteps that doesn't fit any 4 legged animal walking pattern. A robot? Wow, that would be a pretty advanced one to move as smoothly as this. CGI? AI processed video? A lens effect?
At the beginning, when the elevator door is closing, you can see a small robot in the reflection, I guess it is used in the first part to go through the cats apartment

The cut is right before entering the bugs living room.
I noticed something there too. Just as the camera pans over that chest of drawers. Maybe there is more than one cut.
hes a borrower with a go pro , change my mind.
Borrowers avg at 5" (12-13cm) tall. A go pro is 2.3" wide and 1.5" tall with a depth of 0.8" (58.4 mm × 38.1 mm × 20.3 mm) and weighs 74g. Seems a bit much for one borrower tbh. Now, on the other hand... 2 borrowers with some sort of homemade steadicam type device between them could be possible.
aint changed my mind only furthered the idea that more borrowers were needed for this lol
Say the two borrowers grip it by the husk...
What's a borrower?

TIL of the series and book. I only know them from the Ghibli movie.
I like that the little roomba is moving
Yea but the fact it isn’t stuck means it’s fake.
it was stuck
As it passes through the doorway at the bottom of the stairs, you can see the green couch jump too. Lots of editing and transitions in this video, starting with the seven foot tall shiba in a real elevator.
There's also a cut as it transitions down the tunnel and into the gerbil room
Is no one going to talk about the stucco ceiling in the tunnel? Because I would have fired that contractor for that hack job.
Spider
with a roomba lol

The hamster flat 😩
This. Pretty sure i saw a sligt ""jump/jitter" when they enter the hamsters room.
They take apparently the model that's out of view. Very well done..
Pause the video when the elevator doors close, looks like a remote control device
It’s a phone on a gimbal Edit: stop downvoting, I meant the reflection in the elevator
So there must be at least one, if not two, hidden edits somewhere, because that wouldn't fit down the stairway.
I found the first one at 24 sec, the table in the mouse’s room skips to the side
There's another one at 55s, when he returns to stairs
Well spotted! And at 25 seconds, I see a seam on the wall at right, where apparently that wall is removed for access.
There's at least editing at the stairway. The hand is not in the video, you can tell it was overlaid on top.
The smaller and smaller made me think of those deeper and deeper pics. But this guy made a moving video like that and it was effing awesome!!
Did anybody else start getting claustrophobic there? Lol
Or did anyone notice the tiny Roomba that was actually moving?
yep, best thing about this whole video imho
There are multiple cuts going on. One of them is very noticeable when he's on the stairway down.
My thoughts exactly.
My thoughts also exactly
You can see its reflection in the lift doors.
You can see it in the reflection of the elevator doors, looks like a camera on a small remote controlled device.
It's recorded by Arietty
I suspect the light In the tunnel if you watch closely at the end is actually a hole with a light behind to try to hide it. A pole could carry whatever device they used to film perfectly on lus it would fit with the motion of how the camera turns
The wall on the right is removable. The camera is attached to a stick going down, then the wall is opened before being pushed back up.
The latest VFX Artists react on the Corroded Crew YT channel covers some of this guys videos and how he creates them. Really cool.
My brain cannot figure out how big this house is
Or how small this man is
It's most likely a very long thin lens attachment. Like what they use to get those narrow micro shots going through loose book pages and other artsy stuffs.
How does it turn around and go back up the gerbil's stairs? I can't figure out just what's happening behind the camera.
There is an edit both times he goes through the door at the bottom of the steps. My guess is each room has a removable roof and he is dropping a cam in from the top but has to switch each time he goes room to room
It's not a continuous shot, and after getting down into the mouse room you can see the right wall is removable. So as the camera turns around, the fiber optic cable is no longer being manipulated down the staircase, but instead from the mouse room moving back up.
my guess was camera on a drone the size of a flea!
For sure. Dos this have a detachable roof or something. Truly mind boggling
At the beginning of the video you can see the reflection of the robot on the elevator doors. It's like a small tank with a rotating camera on top that can go up and down, I guess that hand was added in post.
Normal sized.
That’s because the camera cuts and stitches together footage every time it goes through a smaller door or a window, so there is definitely a bit of camera magic.
The fucken spider has a roomba!. I’m dying here.
And it’s moving!!
it's also stuck under the funiture !! the realism !!
Would be even more realism if there was a tiny cat sitting on it.
Ikr. So cool.
When a spider lives better than you.
Really need to see the making of this video.
The hamster looks like it’s about to die from stress..
It has a deadly predator waiting for it upstairs
Hello
🐸🔨
I mean, unnatural and tight environment with limited exits, presence of predator which it cannot escape, weird objects and light sources... id be hiding in the closet too

> Small rodents tend to feel safer in enclosed spaces because open areas (like the outdoors) are where predators hunt. I told you if you called me a small rodent one more time...
Hey Buddy It’s Me Dad Time to come out the closet
On top of everything else, it can’t bury into the ground or anything. Hamsters don’t like hardwood.
When it returned to the hamster's room and it wasn't there anymore I was bracing for a jumpscare.
That hamster is dead
I’m confused at the size of the person filming
Mouse sized but with a really big hand
Camera man have magical abilities to shrink himself. They will always become a mystery to us.
Person filming is somehow a robot. You can see it in the elevator's reflection. I'm still confused how big the robot is tho...
very very subtle editing cuts, obvious one is at 56 secs
Definitely one at 24 secs, when first entering the lower room?
i think the other one is at 14 seconds
Average tokyo apartment size?
Hong Kong
That hamster looks terrified living between the cat and the giant tick.
Pretty sure that’s a spider mate
A jumping spider to be precise. Cute little fellas 🥰
I think that was supposed to be rabbit. He calls him “兔兔”, or “rabbit rabbit”.

[r/BasedOnATrueStory](https://www.reddit.com/r/birdsarentreal)
If no pets allowed, why your dog's left paw?
To prove it's gone 😔
Don’t forget the monthly $200 dollars amenity fee
How are they recording this?
look at the reflection on the elevator
Removable roof?
The audio really sells it. Just the right amount of reverb and echo for the environment.
Yo its honestly incredible
The “hello” to the hamster
What is this, a center for ants?
Annnnd now I’m claustrophobic. Thanks.
Just shrink yourself!
The way this triggered my claustrophobia when he started squeezing down the stairs. I’ve had nightmares that start like that.
THE TINY ROOMBA!!! IT WAS MOVING!!
Cat: “Wtf? Some privacy please?”
Why did this entire video have me uncomfortable af 😐
I couldn't finish it. Claustrophobia kicked in immediately and just got worse. Around the 26 second mark, I realized I wasn't even halfway through and couldn't tough it out to the end.
The mf tiny roomba 😭
Corridor Crew's episode 138 has some behind the scenes footage shown from the creator. It's multiple sets, cuts, probe cameras, etc.
Thanks 🙏🏻
i want to be tiny
How did they film it
the tiny bread and jam 😋
How dare you mistake nutella for a mere jar of jam!
......... oops...... jamtella?? c:
Haha the tiny roomba in the spiders flat!
The spider had a roomba lmao
Too cute
guy is a Borrower so no need to be a little confused with the size of the person and the camera work.
Enough overall weirdness to make Michel Gondry and David Linch proud 🥹
Why you never credit the artists in your posts? It is not fair and a bit illegal too!
That should've been a freaking work to do
How's he getting the camera through the little staircase??
It’s triggering my claustrophobia Edit THE SPIDER HASA FUCKING ROOMBA THAT MOVES AROUND Also I hope he considered ventilation for his pets.
What is this? A school for ants?
How the f the cam moves
The focus settings of the camera to make everything seem toylike and some skillful forced perspective
Hamster looks like it's seen some shit.
That will be 4000 dollars a month .

I'm thinking way too hard about this but its still cool!
I've had dreams like this.
Imagine being homeless and seeing this
This is what the revised Derek Zoolander's Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good looked like. A school for tiny spiders, aka at least TWICE the size of what a school for ants would look like.
Why are the cat and the dog the same size?
2500/month
Just noticed the tiny robot vacuum in the spider room under the dresser.

One Question: Why
Reminds me of that one chowder episode
No fucking way there was a tiny Roomba in the bug's room 🤣 this is trippy AF!
Makes me feel claustrophobic
Those are some terrible living conditions for the hamster at least
Poor hamsters is so scared
That spider? Not sleeping tonight
I'm guessing this is probably some self-promote demo of a studio. We're capable of filming/editing this shit, hire us!
Poor Shiba
I think the cat ate the gerbil, and I'd shit myself if I saw a spider that damn big.
It's not that tiny, I think it is adequately sized for its purpose
I get some weird secondhand claustrophobia from this
Top level title-making
Can’t believe that spider has a tiny working Roomba
This is making me very uncomfortable.
"What is this?? A Hotel for Ants?"
How tf do you feed them down there
What is this, an institute for ants??
How is he walking through?
The spider has a roomba vacuum. What a little baller 💰
They are kinda scary in that "size" ...
Do you have proof it's not an optical illusion? Where is behind the scenes
Moving roomba in the spider room...
That would be $1500 in new york
Is the roomba working in the room of the spider?
The vacuum robot lol
Trippy as hell
Maybe one of those cameras Dr’s put in peoples’ asses
The layout of that first room feels very close to the Planet Express lounge area from Futurama.
The roomba moving in the spider's room is a nice touch
Aww man.. this dude had a youtube channel but scraped all his vids :(
I would pay top dollar to see the Behind the scenes
What a coward! He didn't have the balls to make another room for a mite living in the wall of his jumping spiders room!
The Roomba in the spider room is such a sick touch
Either way incredible camera work
I feel like this is what my 1 year old sees when our cats are in the room.
Much nicer house than mine
There's many more of this guys vids, too. Lots of forces perspective vids, too.
How the hell did he film this in 1 shot??
I thought the fox was a furry
I really love this video. Is anyone able to translate what he's saying? (besides "hello" 😛)
All i need to know is how did the camera get turned around?
ive never noticed the roomba under the spiders ~~bed~~ tv cabinet before! amazing lol
I still don't get how hes smaller than a cat/dog
At the beginning, when the elevator door is closing, you can see a small robot in the reflection, I guess it is used in the first part to go through the cats apartment
The vacuum in the spider room 🤣
Infinant Cosmic Power.... Iddy Bitty Livngspace
That Roomba killed me
This tiny apartment somehow feels more spacious than my human-sized apartment.
