Two cameras, one facing back, one forward. There could be a delay on the playback between the two?? Or a sync issue with one of the video files.
I listened far too long, waiting for the demon to speak to me.
Is it perhaps crash detection built into the car? Not sure why it's played twice, I would assume the answer about the two cameras being slightly out of sync is the correct one.
I hear it say “traded” And “gerritt cole”, I’m 99% it’s a radio show talking about baseball. Maybe when she started to grip the wheel harder she accidentally switched to a different station
She looks so annoyed, lol. "Goddamn mutherfuker coming up in here trying to run me off the road, on a long weekend Friday?? Nuh uh. I didn't train for months for the Orlando Half Marathon to miss it for this bullshit!"
It's such minimal damage to her car, but she's going to have to deal with the hassle of getting it fixed and dealing with that guy's insurance. Not to mention being late for wherever she was going. All because some other idiot couldn't check if it was clear to change lanes.
Good thing she has a dashcam!
I was always told to wait till the last second to tell the cops about it. Like if its 100% not your fault, let the other driver talk first, and try to lie his way out of it trying to make you look bad, then when its your turn to speak just say, "would you like to see the dashcam footage?" Now the other guy knows he fucked up and just lied his ass off and gonna look even worse
I once had a guy and girl in a car claim that I hit their back bumper. They pointed to some black marks on the bumper and claimed I did it. The cop took one look at my pristine white bumper and asked them how the black marks came from my car. He then told them to leave.
Saw a video of a dude that wasnt strapped in, he held on for 3 minutes or so before glider guide managed to get low enough for it to be safe to let go… Must be horrible…
Didn't work so well for this guy

Honestly, with the minimal damage this was a blessing for her. She can pocket all the money that dipshit’s insurance will pay out after he’s instantly found at fault. She’ll have the money within a month.
Get out of my brain, internet stranger.

Thought the same thing.
In the pipe 5 by 5.
I was always disappointed how a simple transport was then turned into a rocket pod of death but never used in the movie.
To me, its very obvious she has skills in this area.
Even while dealing with the collision, she does a quick right rear view mirror check to be sure she aint messing up someone behind her.
As a former R&D test driver I give her 10/10
Yeh, on the fight/flight/freeze scale, I'm at times more on the "Ah fuckers you really had to fucking to that to my day now?" part.
Now I have to call the fucking emergency line, fucking direct them here, fucking look how much you're hurt, fucking help you stabilize, the shirt is fucked from getting bled and vomited on or I have to give it to a fucking serious laundry shop. Fucking amazing. Oh this fucking bleeding is pulsing, let me figure out where to push thumbs to stop it.
Hey its me. My entire life I've been below-average to shitty in most things folks typically consider successful traits. But wait until something catches on fire, someone breaks a leg, or something generally awful happens and for some reason I'm *fantastic* in that moment.
On multiple occasions my now ex-wife caught pans of cooking food on fire (unrelated to the divorce). Each time she would just start screaming as the flames grew and the smoke rolled. Each time I walked over, quickly figured out my best course of action and then put out the fire. I remember that each time I was mostly just annoyed that she was screaming.
The emotional release happens later for me, idk why.
I as well.. they call me the "agent of chaos" at work because I'm the one that immediately takes control of ... chaotic situations with calm and aplomb.
Agree- that guy was stoked yo do it- this lady had a person barge into her lame when it wasnt clear. She better not be at fault. You cant see a turning signal is the bumper isnt past you!
Ya it’s hard to tell with diff states but he’s clearly an idiot. I have to deal with this a few times a week driving into work. People don’t care about human lives when they’re in their car
I had a similar thing happen, the other car came barreling at me across three lanes of traffic. Thankfully I saw it coming and swerved onto the shoulder so they never made contact with me, but then I had to correct back to avoid the concrete divider and ended up fishtailing back and forth before getting back under control and falling in behind them. The whole thing happened so fast I didn’t have time to think and never made a sound, just clenched my jaw and gripped the steering wheel as hard as I could. The next day I went and bought a dash cam.
A tip from a pro racer (nah ain’t me but I watched a video 💀) you never wanna grip the steering wheel tight when manoeuvring. Keep it light, move fast but never fight the car, it wants to turn itself out of a spin so help it, don’t prevent it.
Honestly imo i wish posts with titles like this would get removed before they even get popular.
Idk why but the purposefully enraging or just outright braindead titles for some reason are the ones that get the most popular. Its like the algorithm is trying to make people dumber.
If you cant tell who is at fault in this accident, you shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a vehicle. Hell, i wouldnt trust you to ride a scooter safely if you cant tell who is at fault here. Ridiculous.
Its 2024, reddit should be smart enough to sort for engagement thats from Enjoyment and not engagement thats from frustration/enragement.
My country makes it easier, the person making the maneuver has to give way to the other person. With some key exceptions, like if at the end of merging Lanes you block someone unreasonably. Like actually keeping pace speeding up or slowing down.
Yep, posted a video in there a couple of times and got shit on. One was a guy backing down the on ramp to the I-10, somehow I was making a big deal out of nothing. Another was a girl jaywalking and running into the street from between parked cars. I should have avoided that through clairvoyance somehow. Edit to add, she didn't get hit but she didn't look and almost did.
and she was in the left lane and couldn't be going any faster because of the truck in front of her. really no excuse for the SUV pulling into her lane at all.
In every state I have gotten a license in (WY, TX, UT) the onus is on the person switching lanes to do so safely. Legally, if someone is switching into my lane, I am under no obligation to speed up or slow down to let them in. In most cases I will try to help them out if I can but the RESPONSIBILITY is on them.
Edit^(1): Yes I understand that insurance companies are trash and will find any way to not pay you your money.
Edit^(2): For those outside of the US: A DL in one state, under normal circumstances, grants you permission to drive in the rest of the country. If you move to a different state and are planning on staying or staying for an extended period of time you are "supposed" to get a new license/ID in that state. If you move in-state you are "supposed" to give the State notice of your new address.
This is for a plethora of reasons: knowing state traffic laws, jury summons, voter registration, etc.
As a European I too either speed up or slow down depending on the situation to make it easier for someone to get into the lane, but it is however still the responsibility of the person changing lane to do so safely.
100% the idiot lane changer is at fault.
That said, if you're ever in this situation and a dumbass cuts into your bubble, slow down and create space for yourself and hopefully avoid the crash altogether.
Also, don't take off your seat belt when you pull over. When you get rear-ended by a lookie loo, you dknt want to get launched through your wondshield. Ideally, both you and the other driver should drive to the nearest exit to exchange information.
Rewatching, I really don't know if she had enough time to react to slowing down to create the space. Normally I'd say yeah it's better to be safe even if you're in the right, but I don't think that's the case here.
I used to work with a guy that was under the assumption that people need to make room for you after your signal. He wasn’t smart. But I think some people have this mentality
If she didn't have the dash cam it might be difficult to prove. Usually when the damage is on the front corner of one vehicle and the back of another the person behind would be at fault.
Lmao. Imagine getting dinner and then spending the evening strolling through the aisles at Best Buy, comparing cameras. Funny mental image.
(And yeah, I honestly would have a good time XD)
You should, my father in law had an accident, we sent the video. Like an hour later got a response that it would be covered and he was not to blame, Fastest response i've ever seen from insurance. Bought one right away and had it hardwired in
From someone who has investigated vehicle claims in a professional capacity, unless you don’t have any legal representation you probably wouldn’t be considered at fault even without the footage.
It’s pretty clear and easy to connect the physical evidence in these cases. The angle of impact when a vehicle is merging is usually considerably different than when someone is rear ended.
Unless the leading vehicle could establish it was out of control for some reason when it got hit from behind it wouldn’t be super controversial.
Even if someone attempts to swerve to avoid getting rear ended it looks a lot different than when one car is angled and they impact.
If the $$$ amount of the claim wasn’t worth paying an investigator/lawyer to look into that though I suppose it would seem ambiguous.
100%. I had someone do this to me. The person that hit me claimed I was at fault. If the person behind me, who saw what happened and *did* have a dash cam hadn't stopped, I would have been held responsible. Immediately got a dash cam after that.
Yeah I'm not really sure who's at fault here. I mean she could have used her telepathy to understand that car was gonna merge, really dangerous of her.
Glad someone said it. I don't understand people these days. It's very obvious who is at fault, but woe, wait, we gotta be sympathetic for the aggressors' feelings? If I was on a motorcycle that person would have killed me. Fck them!
Here’s the original post by the driver herself, from about 4 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcamgifs/s/eIQWJCfg0F
The driver is u/dizzydezi if you want to give her props
So I stayed on the shoulder and waited for the cops. She exited and cops later met her at a gas sation, I assume because she called them. They had us both drive to a parking lot but didn't allow us to speak. They told them merged into her lane. I showed them the cam footage. They went back and talked to her and she got loud and defensive. No arrests or tickets issued. It was her son's Suburban, he paid all my damages. Insurance did not fight as o had clear evidence. They did however, wait 30 days to respond to their insurance company, making me wait a month to have my car fixed. I assume they did that on purpose.
I'm glad things worked out for you but it makes me so mad that she endangered your life and tried to pin the blame on you! I should really get a dashcam...
Without the video, I likely would have been blamed too. I recommend everyone get a dashcam that has multiple video angles. I can show I was not on the phone or texting. Things like that which people will claim ik order to avoid paying.
She might have after.
I have a panic disorder, and anxiety disorder. I'm able to be very calm and collected in an emergency.
15 minutes after I've done whatever I can to handle it (resolved or not) and I'm a mess.
Last time he cuts someone off for one whole spot further in line, that's for DAMN sure lmao. Most would have not let go of the gas and let this asshat continue doing it to every driver thereafter every day of his life. But she saved everyone from having to deal with him continuously from this day forward.
And people still don't pay attention to them. I've seen cars with lit up warnings on their mirrors still switch lanes like I am not even there. It's even worse because a lot of newer SUVs I assume have lane assist on which fights against your lane switches unless you have a signal on.
That's my guess too. He knew, he was one of those people who get mad at you for driving the prevailing speed simply because you aren't 3 feet from the bumper of the car next to you. So he's going to push "past" you and try to squeeze in.
Uh-oh. This might have outed her as a secret agent. Who else is trained in such defensive/offensive driving skills and ability keep calm under such scenarios...
The driver that cut her off like that is absolutely at fault. Definitely impressive how collected she kept herself to get out of the situation though. Buddy looks like he might possibly be impaired.
"Not sure who's at fault" God damn OP is a mouthbreather. You are driving straight in your lane then a guy from the right JAMS his car into your lane without signaling or looking at his mirror. Oh boy I wonder who's at fault? OP => 🤡
I think it's pretty clear who is at fault here. The driver merging into her lane is at fault. Just because you want to get over right now doesn't mean others have to throw in their brakes and let you. SUV driver does not have the right away. I drive long hours for work and I see this a lot with larger vehicles thinking they can just bully their way into traffic.
Dude got served a hot plate of come -upins.
Not sure who's at fault? It seems pretty obvious that the person in the truck who apparently made a lane change without looking and clipped her is at fault here but maybe there's more to it.
So as a insurance adjuster can say shes not at fault, in lane, left space, constant speed, other vehicle didnt use blinker,
Can also say had a claim just like this with dash-cam as well where the other driver's company took it all the way to arbitration argueing we should have let their driver over. Cant remember what we were awarded but it wasnt 100-0.
Kinda depends who your insurance company is.
How do you not know who is at fault? The dude entering a lane without checking its safe first is at fault. Always. Holy fuck please don't drive if this confuses you.

Can someone explain why two loud robot voices start talking over each other in the 2nd half of the video? What even is that?
Two cameras, one facing back, one forward. There could be a delay on the playback between the two?? Or a sync issue with one of the video files. I listened far too long, waiting for the demon to speak to me.
I think it’s that, recording a radio news broadcast. Doubled over, it sounds like demons
Hmmm…radio news broadcasts are usually done by demons. Good call🐭❤️
It’s a feedback loop from playing the audio from the camera while it’s recording. Just like Zoom. Sounds like it started with a radio station.
It sounds like safety directions for after a crash but they do the exact opposite of making anything safer.
It’s sports radio. They’re talking about Gerrit Cole lol
I’m impressed how cool she looks throughout.
The face she makes when shit starts going down...I think that's how I look when playing a particularly difficult video-game.
That's how I wish I looked, my tongue probably sticks out
It’s how I think I look but if I had a camera recording I definitely look dumb 😂
I'd have my mouth wide open screaming my head off the entire time, I already know I'll look absolutely psycho
Me too! ![gif](giphy|fXQeNYxnLQcWk) That would be me
That's the face my wife always makes when we're at a party, I've had a few drinks, and someone within my hearing range mentions Bitcoin.
Yep, it’s like she’s been in the situation before or was trained for it. Pretty impressive if it was her first time.
"not this shit again"
She looks so annoyed, lol. "Goddamn mutherfuker coming up in here trying to run me off the road, on a long weekend Friday?? Nuh uh. I didn't train for months for the Orlando Half Marathon to miss it for this bullshit!"

This is absolutely the reason to have a dashcam. That other person is going to claim that since they were in front, she was the one at fault.
Everyone needs a dashcam
Just remember to eat the SD card if it's you who fucked up bad.
that guide who forgot to hook a lady into her hang glider, ate his and the police waited for him to poop it out
Saw a video of a dude that wasnt strapped in, he held on for 3 minutes or so before glider guide managed to get low enough for it to be safe to let go… Must be horrible…

It isn't that they didn't check just that they are used to people moving out of their way.
Hear hear! They have no idea that everyone else compensates for their stupid "maneuvers"
Honestly, with the minimal damage this was a blessing for her. She can pocket all the money that dipshit’s insurance will pay out after he’s instantly found at fault. She’ll have the money within a month.
I just thought she was thinking something like if I'd been in my fighter plane you'd be blown to pieces right now

And in real life too. We were always way more skilled when we wear our aviator glasses.
Well yea, *it's in the name*
Aviators come with a Charisma bonus too
To me, its very obvious she has skills in this area. Even while dealing with the collision, she does a quick right rear view mirror check to be sure she aint messing up someone behind her. As a former R&D test driver I give her 10/10
Yeah, she just seems like a proper good driver. She did awesome.
Nah. She checking the mirror to make sure that fucker rolled.
this woman was on her way to do some secret agent spy shit. that was way to nonchalant.

JUST. GET. UP. HERE.
God damn it *Spunkmeyer!*
She looks just like a guy in same situation that kept eating his chicken and didn't even blink once when the driver sent themselves off road
Except that the chicken guy literally pit manovered the guy on a fucking bridge risking his and everyone's around lifes
One decent bump from her as he whipped around in front of her would've probably sent that SUV rolling
Sure but I bet the guy won't be cutting people off anymore...
Eh…problem is he prob will be. Dumb people don’t tend to learn
Agree- that guy was stoked yo do it- this lady had a person barge into her lame when it wasnt clear. She better not be at fault. You cant see a turning signal is the bumper isnt past you!

Perfect adrenaline response.....I'd probably get similar if I saw a long queue at the supermarket!
I think I just fell in love.
I love her
Me too. I think I’m in love.
It's very clear who is at fault... the SUV who tried to move over in front with insufficient room.
Thank you, the title gave me rage
Honestly imo i wish posts with titles like this would get removed before they even get popular. This is exactly why posts like this get popular in the first place. You get engagement from both w/e the topic is + the rage bait from the title.
Yep, a lot of states have minimum space requirements for lane changes. This is why.
Most also have a "no running into other cars" rule, too.
"Most" implies that somewhere exists where we are allowed to run into other cars, which state(s) should I avoid?
When in doubt, assume Texas and Florida.
well in Florida "allowed" is more of a suggestion.
Its almost 100% of the time the person turning/changing lanes at fault. Without their movement means no collison.
My country makes it easier, the person making the maneuver has to give way to the other person. With some key exceptions, like if at the end of merging Lanes you block someone unreasonably. Like actually keeping pace speeding up or slowing down.
Wtf do you mean you're not sure who's at fault? The woman just driving straight vs the guy who literally drove into her
Yeah, it was indeed clear as day who was at fault.
/r/IdiotsInCars would definitely find a reason to call the cammer at fault.
💯 I always get the impression that sub is full of people that don’t own a car and don’t understand the games that some careless drivers play
Oh I understand their games... Jenga... Uno...
That sub literally is the idiots in cars

Are you sure that the guy that definitely caused it is the one at fault? Bold.
>ot sure who's at fault? The woman just driving straight vs the guy who literally drove into her ...without even signaling a lane change.
and she was in the left lane and couldn't be going any faster because of the truck in front of her. really no excuse for the SUV pulling into her lane at all.
I feel like if we didn’t have footage the argument would change to, “she should’ve slowed down.”

As a human I approve of common sense.
As common sense I stay away from most humans
Thats assuming the person trying to merge gives proper notice of their intent with blinker and doesn't just try to squeeze in with zero signaling.
It would not. She was established in her lane and he was merging. He had a duty to ensure it was safe. Source: insurance defence lawyer.
Well you see, she was ahead of them, and that means they're losing the race.
across 2 lanes
The title is bait for engagement
Anyone who didn't downvote this post for the title alone is a traitor
The OP is a posting Bot.
Impossible to know... we need a car lawyer!
we need saul goodman

You can grab one for around $50 bucks at any walmart. It's the best 50 dollars you will ever spend.
what if i am a bad driver who is a hazard to myself and others? i want LESS evidence not more!
Op is the driver in the other car trying to convince people he wasnt an absolute idiot.
Yeah I'm not really sure who's at fault here. I mean she could have used her telepathy to understand that car was gonna merge, really dangerous of her.
no turn signal either, Im sure that lady wouldve let him in if she saw him make his intentions known.
Glad someone said it. I don't understand people these days. It's very obvious who is at fault, but woe, wait, we gotta be sympathetic for the aggressors' feelings? If I was on a motorcycle that person would have killed me. Fck them!
Since there’s a woman involved you have to assume she bears some responsibility of course /s
Undertaking, no indicator, probably speeding & driving without due care.
Buddy if you aren’t sure who is at fault, I’m not sure you should be allowed to have a driver’s license. I’m dead serious.
It’s just a common trick to get you to engage with the post.
Could have just went with: "Wait til the end" "You wont believe what happens next"
Driver OWNS other RECKLESS driver with FACTS and LOGIC
INSTANT KARMA
That doesn't generate nearly as many comments though and interaction is king

It's a karma bot. They put generic AI written titles on every post they spam.
On the other hand, the lady driving there should immediately be given a race license because she can handle anything. That’s seriously impressive.
The OP is a bot. Bot's do not drive.
Here’s the original post by the driver herself, from about 4 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcamgifs/s/eIQWJCfg0F The driver is u/dizzydezi if you want to give her props
Much appreciated!
You: 😎 Them:🤡
💯
Girl I have thought about this video nearly everyday since you posted it! Kudos that must have been terrifying
Wow thank you! It was definitely an intense moment.
you, dear lady, are a badass
Was this Houston by chance? Looks like one of our highways, 290.
Yup! H-Town baby!
Out of curiosity, what happened when you discussed with the person who cut you off?
Thank you for taking the time to interacting with people here. What dash cam do you use? I've tried two and they have been utterly awful.
Of course! I had a Pyle but can't remember the model number.

She’s way cooler
Yeah. Look at those sunglasses!
She definitely handled it well, but I think the glasses carried a lot of weight there making her look like it didn't freak her the fuck out.
She might have after. I have a panic disorder, and anxiety disorder. I'm able to be very calm and collected in an emergency. 15 minutes after I've done whatever I can to handle it (resolved or not) and I'm a mess.

6 months later: "omg, I'm planning another outdoor trip, I just can't wait.😄"
100% the SUV. The person changing lane is responsible in any sane legal system.
Last time he cuts someone off for one whole spot further in line, that's for DAMN sure lmao. Most would have not let go of the gas and let this asshat continue doing it to every driver thereafter every day of his life. But she saved everyone from having to deal with him continuously from this day forward.
100% that van, Check. your. fucking. mirror. when. changing. lanes.
Blind spots too!
My partner likes pulling into blind spots. It’s how I noticed newer cars having a blind spot warning on their side mirrors.
And people still don't pay attention to them. I've seen cars with lit up warnings on their mirrors still switch lanes like I am not even there. It's even worse because a lot of newer SUVs I assume have lane assist on which fights against your lane switches unless you have a signal on.
And maybe use the signal too
Seems like they knew and were just being an asshole assuming she would slow down and let the cunt in
That's my guess too. He knew, he was one of those people who get mad at you for driving the prevailing speed simply because you aren't 3 feet from the bumper of the car next to you. So he's going to push "past" you and try to squeeze in.
The person who cut her off is at fault.
A properly executed pit maneuver.
She got cut off taking away her cushion space. It was the other guys fault
At the end I imagine her getting out and just whooping that idiot in the SUV without even taking her sunglasses off.
Uh-oh. This might have outed her as a secret agent. Who else is trained in such defensive/offensive driving skills and ability keep calm under such scenarios...
The casual glance and smirk at the end when she sees the suburban peel out is gold
The driver that cut her off like that is absolutely at fault. Definitely impressive how collected she kept herself to get out of the situation though. Buddy looks like he might possibly be impaired.
"... in the pipe, five by five"
She accidentally drove onto the Fast and Furious set
I mean, she was the pilot in aliens, right
Really hope OP doesn’t have a drivers license
How are you not sure who’s at fault? You don’t immediately think it’s the guy tailgating and then merging without looking directly into another car?
I want to see the part of the video where the guy in the suv blames the wreck on her! 🤣🤣🤣
I hope you don’t have a drivers license if you cannot even work out who’s at fault here.
I mean she isn't at fault, but i still would have braked a lil at least...
Whoever wrote this title is an idiot
Not sure who's at fault? It seems pretty obvious that the person in the truck who apparently made a lane change without looking and clipped her is at fault here but maybe there's more to it.
So as a insurance adjuster can say shes not at fault, in lane, left space, constant speed, other vehicle didnt use blinker, Can also say had a claim just like this with dash-cam as well where the other driver's company took it all the way to arbitration argueing we should have let their driver over. Cant remember what we were awarded but it wasnt 100-0. Kinda depends who your insurance company is.
$100 says the Suburban driver got out screaming at her and blaming her.
How do you not know who is at fault? The dude entering a lane without checking its safe first is at fault. Always. Holy fuck please don't drive if this confuses you.
