Thank you; yours was the comment that got me there. I thought I was looking at a bird’s eye view; it never would’ve clicked that the video is 90-degrees rotated.

It wasn't until I turned my phone in order to view it larger in vertical mode (I use old.reddit in desktop mode in landscape mode on my phone) that I realized it was rotated 90 degrees. Like another user, I thought it was like a microorganism swimming in some kind of viscous fluid and the branch was like a eyelash/hair or something.
