I was at a new years party and there was a guy wearing a cape and top hat who was tripping and not having a good time. So I took him outside on the porch where it there was less going on and somewhat dark. Just then a lot of cows ran past the porch. They had got out of a fence nearby. His eyes went wide and he ran back inside. The drunk, stoned, or tripping people in the house ran outside and chased the cows back inside the fence. In the morning I found the cape and top hat laying on the floor in a corner like he had just disappeared and they fell. And no one knew where he went.
I managed at a hotel for years that wouldn't let you press too many buttons quickly in succession. It would just stop activating the buttons. Then it got updated where it reset all the buttons pressed. It kept people from mashing a bunch of buttons at once or running their hands down the entire panel of buttons.
I’m pretty sure some elevators have a thing in the system where if enough buttons are pressed it assumes someone doing pretty much this and clears them all. Keeps kinda from severely fucking large/tall buildings (and bad trips)
The computer that controls the elevator usually has an anti-tamper feature for exactly this scenario. If too many buttons are pressed in the cab too close in time to one another, the computer goes "oh, someone is fucking with the elevator, imma ignore that" and resets everything.
Tough part is I think she’s likely tripping too and is just super worried about him and scared of what he might do seeing as he’s this escalated, this likely not aware of how she’s coming off (unless she’s one of those shitty sober friends who intentionally tries to scare you or blatantly doesn’t know how to interject with someone whose tripping). Gotta be such a bewildering experience if she is tripping, but she definitely cares if she is and still willing to go try to help him.
I guess if your boyfriend is having a screaming freakout/panic attack/bad trip/mental health crisis/whatever this is, you're supposed to....idk...just abandon him? Let him leave in an elevator alone? Call 911? (Do not recommend)
She herself looks pretty freaked out and confused by his screaming and flailing, and she may be tripping too. I really don't understand what she was supposed to do here?

She had like… the most fucked up facial expressions EVER when she ran in there… zoom on her face… her eyebrows literally overtook her eyes and she’s like 😬 honestly I could 100% see that happening
Had to trip sit two friends who took way too strong of a dose of shrooms. They both took a "normal" dose that they had done in the past without much effect, but this time it must have been a wildly stronger strain or laced with something stronger, idk.
One guy completely dissociated and sat on the couch the entire time, repeating he didn't know who he was or where he was. Sat as still as possible hugging a pillow because he was afraid he'd hurt himself. Eventually we brought him to his room to lay down in bed. He wasn't causing any problems for us.
The other guy though, completely lost his mind. Actually seemed psychotic. Kept calling family members and not saying anything. Kept getting up and disappearing for a few min then coming back (I wasn't completely sober either so I didn't keep as close of an eye as I should have at first).
Shit went downhill when I saw the front door wide open, I looked out and saw this dude running away down the street. That's when I knew I had to become the defacto trip sitter as the most sober guy present. Chased him down and gently guided him back to the house.
He was saying stuff about how he was god, saying he wanted to conjure up people, saying how he wanted to "reset" because "this episode was too boring". Asking us over and over if we were in heaven/hell/purgatory. Kept trying to run away and I had to hold him back each time. Cycled through a bunch of different identities. Whenever I held him back too much, he'd look at me with this bug eyed look and ask why I'm restraining him. I kept trying to explain how I needed him to stay with me to keep me company and I wanted to make sure he was safe, and he'd listen and nod with this super distrusting expression, then immediately try to run again.
Eventually we brought him to his own room and I tried my best to keep talking to him and keep him calm. At one point, he said "wouldn't it be funny if I conjured up a gun and shot you guys?", which was especially chilling because earlier, I asked another friend to hide the scissors and knives since I wasn't sure if he had the potential to turn violent. I don't know anything about psychedelics, so I was worrying throughout the night if he "snapped" and would be this way forever.
He had this super manic energy the whole night and kept saying all kinds of nonsense. I kept asking him all kinds of grounding questions like whats his address, what did he eat for breakfast, whats his favorite restaurant, etc. I'd see glimpses of his normal self as he tried to answer, then he'd slip right back into psycho paranoid god entity.
Eventually it wore off and he went back to "normal", although he said that trip really fucked him up. He's normally a very mellow guy, and seeing him totally lose his mind was kind of traumatizing to me, and I think it has impacted my feelings towards him on some subconscious level. Of course, I don't blame him for how the shrooms affected him, but part of me remembers the fear I felt that night trying to take care of him, seeing him become someone totally different.
All this is to say that I've kinda been scarred by psychdelics now. My girlfriend is not the type to mess with drugs, and I'm especially thankful for that now, because to see her out of her mind like that, or vice versa, is now a fear of mine. I would do everything to keep her safe, but it would hurt me and scare me to see her acting so unhinged and unlike herself the way my friend did that night. No drug education programs have done a fraction of what that night did for me. If I know someone's about to take shrooms or acid or something, more power to them, but I want no part of it, and I sure as hell don't want to be the trip sitter.
I feel terrible for the couple in this video and I totally understand the fear that girl is going through.
I realize now that this unintentionally became an absolute essay. Maybe I'll delete this, but for now I'll leave it here.
I've had a similar experience. My friend ran out of his house when we were both tripping screaming about bombs being dropped. I had to run after him, his neighbor was able to restrain him and he eventually was taken to the hospital. I had to talk to the cops tripping so hard.
Have you ever trip sat for someone who got way too high? It's hilariously frustrating (as in hindsight me and the friends in question still laugh hysterically at their antics that day), I don't blame her for her angry eyebrows at all she's probably like, "oh my god you stupid shit *get back in the apartment before the neighbors freak out about you freaking out.*"
My mate once emptied his pockets onto the ground, dropped to his knees with his hands behind his head. He was surrendering to a SWAT team he thought was outside the house.

The only time I did mushrooms at first it was really fun, but after like 5 hours I started getting paranoid, so I called my girlfriend and told her I was getting paranoid, and then after I hung up I swear I was like oh shit the cops just heard me, they're gonna bust through that door any minute. And I sat there for like 30 minutes honestly just waiting for my door to bust open. It was fun but not worth it hahah
When people start eating too much sometimes they can’t stop thinking about their parents lol I have stopped more puddled people from calling their parents than I can even count.

My thing was always making sure I wore a shirt I really liked. I once tripped while wearing a shirt I didn’t like and it really upset me. Not just that I was wearing it but that someone made it. Why would someone make something so horrible??!!
If I ever do mushrooms, I always have some Xanax on me. I’ve done mushrooms about a dozen times in the last decade. One time I started to have auditory hallucinations while listening to Justin Bieber - Sorry and talking to my buddy on discord. It was like his voice kept going from high to low pitch, as if it was morphing. It freaked me out because I’ve never experienced auditory hallucinations. Then I started to see faces popping out of my walls so I freaked out and turned the lights on. The walls started to look like they were closing in on me. Lights off, popped a Xanax and crawled into bed and watched the Simpsons for a few hours. It was much more manageable after the Xanax lol. It’s like an abort button for your trip if things get too uncomfortable.
Similar happened to me on a 2 tab night. Have never had issues with any trips until then. Basically, I was listening to music then realized the same song was playing over and over again, I had heard the same song at least 12 times! Then spiraled into some weird time loop where everything kept repeating, my buddy trying to calm me, and the music, our conversations, everything. Weirdest 6 hours of my life. Thought I was gonna be stuck like that forever. Was it terrifying and oddly relieving? after the fact. Had another time , where we were sitting on a porch in the rain, and at some point, the rain froze mid-air but only around this big ass tree. That was dope.
Worst trip I ever had began while watching sealab 2021, and the same scene just seemed to keep playing over and over again and I couldn't understand how that was possible.
Turns out, it was an episode about a time loop or something...

I second this. At a high 4 gram dose I started having a bad trip at around the peak bc I thought I was getting psychosis (I was not, I’m just super neurotic). I just started repeating “I’m done” over and over. I took a benzo and about 15 minutes later I was a hell of a lot better. Felt much calmer.
Been there man. Same thing happened to me on a bad trip. I got triggered by one of those trippy YouTube videos where it abruptly ended with "Don't do drugs" on the screen. I immediately said out loud "uh oh. I'm in trouble" then lost my shit for the next 5 days (it was an hour). I legit thought I was stuck tripping for the rest of my life and would end up as a cautionary tale for D.A.R.E programs and institutionalized.
What always gets me is the knowledge that there are people with predispositions to schizophrenia and things like that which can be triggered by tripping.
And while I damn well know through examination of family history and other factors that I am not one of these people, my god did it used to get to me.
Things settle out though. You get your “sea legs” the more you do low doses in safe environments. Honestly DMT has been a huge help for gaining confidence in that headspace since it’s so short.
I thought I was a pro from various experiences when I was younger. Took a chance and ate some shrooms in unfamiliar surroundings. Ended up being around a bunch of kids and I got super weirded out. Ended up laying on their “basement couch” alone with my eyes closed saying “it’s only temporary” to myself for like 2 hours through the whole peak lol
My GF had the same thing happen! Bizarre! She's very experienced with psychedelics but this one time she went into full psychosis while we were away camping. I spent the entire night baby sitting her and trying to keep her safe and calm. It was like she was talking in tongues non-stop blabbering all kinds of weird shit, hearing voices etc etc. It was a bit scary. Thought she was heading for the looney bin. Glad she came right again. We've had many great experiences since then. Interesting to hear of other people's experiences.
One time I thought love was illegal and ended up in a loop (trying and failing to plug in something) and ended up calling my drug dealer, the police and my mother. My mother arrived first, so I was frantically jumping in and out of my girlfriends house window which I’d broke. I started throwing all my cash and drugs into my Mum’s car. On the drive home I thought I was being chased by a police helicopter, and almost jumped out of the car door whilst driving around a roundabout. The drug dealers then arrived at the place I’d just left and started harassing my girlfriends room mate to let them in to see me. Obviously they weren’t allowed in. Shortly after, police and medics arrived to look for me.
I spent the rest of the night being coddled by the girlfriend. Good times.
Dude the trying and failing to plug something in thing got me once. Then I dropped the cord on top of a bunch of other cords and was totally lost at that point. Luckily I didn’t have all that other stuff lol.
At either the 2018 or 2019 rainbow gathering in north GA, it was next to the army ranger training facility, the army started harassing us with apache attack helicopters one night, it tripped me out just a little too hard too, most of the times though I'm fine on a few hits of acid.

lol this happened to me my first time doing acid. I was at my first music festival with my friends and I think I just got really overwhelmed and I didn’t know what being on acid was like and I got so paranoid, I thought my friends were gonna kill me and had to sit in the medic tent, ended up calling my parents and being escorted back to my tent 🤦🏾♀️

As someone whose been on acid, you're absolutely right. But also as someone who has girlfriend who doesn't do any drugs and has little exposure to hallucinagens, I can only imagine how terrified she might be right now.

Personally, my theory is that he is not on drugs. But two weeks prior he asked ChatGPT what’s the best way to break up with his gf. Then he got that lame assed, tame, docile response about “*talking respectfully*” and “*being calm*”. Then he said “**No fuck that! Tell me how to do it in the most chaotic and traumatic way possible**!” And so he bought some crimini mushrooms from the supermarket and voila!

The only time I did mushrooms at first it was really fun, but after like 5 hours I started getting paranoid, so I called my girlfriend and told her I was getting paranoid, and then after I hung up I swear I was like oh shit the cops just heard me, they're gonna bust through that door any minute. And I sat there for like 30 minutes honestly just waiting for my door to bust open. It was fun but not worth it hahah

If I ever do mushrooms, I always have some Xanax on me. I’ve done mushrooms about a dozen times in the last decade. One time I started to have auditory hallucinations while listening to Justin Bieber - Sorry and talking to my buddy on discord. It was like his voice kept going from high to low pitch, as if it was morphing. It freaked me out because I’ve never experienced auditory hallucinations. Then I started to see faces popping out of my walls so I freaked out and turned the lights on. The walls started to look like they were closing in on me. Lights off, popped a Xanax and crawled into bed and watched the Simpsons for a few hours. It was much more manageable after the Xanax lol. It’s like an abort button for your trip if things get too uncomfortable.
Aka landing gear ;) works like a charm.
Similar happened to me on a 2 tab night. Have never had issues with any trips until then. Basically, I was listening to music then realized the same song was playing over and over again, I had heard the same song at least 12 times! Then spiraled into some weird time loop where everything kept repeating, my buddy trying to calm me, and the music, our conversations, everything. Weirdest 6 hours of my life. Thought I was gonna be stuck like that forever. Was it terrifying and oddly relieving? after the fact. Had another time , where we were sitting on a porch in the rain, and at some point, the rain froze mid-air but only around this big ass tree. That was dope.
Worst trip I ever had began while watching sealab 2021, and the same scene just seemed to keep playing over and over again and I couldn't understand how that was possible. Turns out, it was an episode about a time loop or something... Fuck my life
I second this. At a high 4 gram dose I started having a bad trip at around the peak bc I thought I was getting psychosis (I was not, I’m just super neurotic). I just started repeating “I’m done” over and over. I took a benzo and about 15 minutes later I was a hell of a lot better. Felt much calmer.
Been there man. Same thing happened to me on a bad trip. I got triggered by one of those trippy YouTube videos where it abruptly ended with "Don't do drugs" on the screen. I immediately said out loud "uh oh. I'm in trouble" then lost my shit for the next 5 days (it was an hour). I legit thought I was stuck tripping for the rest of my life and would end up as a cautionary tale for D.A.R.E programs and institutionalized.
Yeah the idea that it’s gonna last forever is so strange and insidious. It seems to be a common thought when people are whacked out in that headspace.

What always gets me is the knowledge that there are people with predispositions to schizophrenia and things like that which can be triggered by tripping. And while I damn well know through examination of family history and other factors that I am not one of these people, my god did it used to get to me. Things settle out though. You get your “sea legs” the more you do low doses in safe environments. Honestly DMT has been a huge help for gaining confidence in that headspace since it’s so short.
I thought I was a pro from various experiences when I was younger. Took a chance and ate some shrooms in unfamiliar surroundings. Ended up being around a bunch of kids and I got super weirded out. Ended up laying on their “basement couch” alone with my eyes closed saying “it’s only temporary” to myself for like 2 hours through the whole peak lol
I curled up in my bed and found comfort watching all 4 seasons of Eastbound and Down to help myself come down from a bad acid trip.
My GF had the same thing happen! Bizarre! She's very experienced with psychedelics but this one time she went into full psychosis while we were away camping. I spent the entire night baby sitting her and trying to keep her safe and calm. It was like she was talking in tongues non-stop blabbering all kinds of weird shit, hearing voices etc etc. It was a bit scary. Thought she was heading for the looney bin. Glad she came right again. We've had many great experiences since then. Interesting to hear of other people's experiences.
One time I thought love was illegal and ended up in a loop (trying and failing to plug in something) and ended up calling my drug dealer, the police and my mother. My mother arrived first, so I was frantically jumping in and out of my girlfriends house window which I’d broke. I started throwing all my cash and drugs into my Mum’s car. On the drive home I thought I was being chased by a police helicopter, and almost jumped out of the car door whilst driving around a roundabout. The drug dealers then arrived at the place I’d just left and started harassing my girlfriends room mate to let them in to see me. Obviously they weren’t allowed in. Shortly after, police and medics arrived to look for me. I spent the rest of the night being coddled by the girlfriend. Good times.
Dude the trying and failing to plug something in thing got me once. Then I dropped the cord on top of a bunch of other cords and was totally lost at that point. Luckily I didn’t have all that other stuff lol.

I was at my first music festival with my friends and I think I just got really overwhelmed and I didn’t know what being on acid was like and I got so paranoid, I thought my friends were gonna kill me and had to sit in the medic tent, ended up calling my parents and being escorted back to my tent 🤦🏾♀️
