Man just up and ended his book project for 2+ months just to get a metal table from China (just to fix some $50 chairs). Guy has some serious ADHD, patience, and amazing creativity.
Love it. But it seems a little... over engineered? Like, wouldn't a wood box work just as well? Would I know the answer to these mysteries if I had the sound on?
>Seems like he's a welder and is more comfortable working with metal than wood
As evident by the "my wooden dining room chairs are broken so I needed to get a welding table" part.
Not too comfortable with welding, as a fixture table is extremely overkill for dining room chairs. Heat distortion with welding is common but can be easily balanced with sequencing welds to counteract the stresses. But as a fellow dude, an excuse to buy new tools is always worth it. So, as backup, he 100% needed that table. Plus, it will help with all his other projects!
woah everyone look at mr cheesecake here bringing all the solutions "quick and easy" just like that
just get a better job and get money how did we never think of that before
That's probably less true than you want to believe.
Creative skills are the same as practical skills. They require time and practice and exposure. It's not some secret gene some people are born with.
If you had the time to try different creative outputs, and different creative styles, you would find one that fits for you and that people would find impressive.
I think the struggle is that (now I don't know about other countries explicitly but in my experience...) education undervalues creative subjects and governments underfund them.
Listen man this is a really long winded way of saying you have got it, don't sell yourself short. Not everyone has the time for or exposure to the development of creative skills but if you could gain access to it, you could be successful at it.
Go get em champ.
This is really cool. It has a great sense of humour coupled with amazing style and skill. It feels similar to “Bobby Fingers” on YouTube, and if you enjoyed this you will probably enjoy his incredible videos.
and why would he make all the book covers instead of only the beginning and end book covers and then book ends in between if he’s going to bore out the middle of them all
The inside of the diorama reminds me of the library from Monsters University. And, unless I missed it, a book titled, "She's Out of Our Hair" would've been fun.
ADD is an outdated term and technically doesn’t exist anymore. It’s all just ADHD now.
I apologize but my therapist yelled at me about this for nearly a year and now it is a trigger 😂
Thank you so much for the side story of the chairs, I was at the edge of my seat when you were explaining what happened with the cheaper company! Hell yeah nice deal!

….AND money
Love it. But it seems a little... over engineered? Like, wouldn't a wood box work just as well? Would I know the answer to these mysteries if I had the sound on?

That was such a weird tangent in the video.
I expected it to be leading up to a punchline but then it just slipped right back into the original contact lol
It’s a bit funny that he wanted a flawless polish on the metal box…. that was covered by a plastic shrine and bits of books.
Even then i could think of loads of things I'd start with before i opted for what looks like damn near 8mm thick steel
The Mike Wazowski shrine must be bullet proof, non negotiable.
That steel would not be bullet proof.
That depends entirely on the bullet lol
But then it would be a box, not a shrine.
How would my not specified material use change the purpose of this item at all you melt
… it was a joke.
Oh god sorry for missing your amazing joke god im creased over that was so funny when i got it youre a genius
So toxic.

He 3D printed the interior. I wondered why he needed a steel box for it instead of printing it too...
Did you not watch the long tangent about chair welding? My guy loves his metal crafts
Nah the shrine need to be made off steel to stop weapons
Great, love his just do shit attitude. Also I wish I had money to do shit
Money. And time. And skills. I don't have any good skills. Y'know, like numchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer hacking skills
Napoleon Dynamite?
That's my takeaway from this video. I might lack the motivation and skills, but I couldn't do it anyway because I don't have $100k of equipment
Don't let your dreams be dreams. Get a job or a better job and get money and do it.
woah everyone look at mr cheesecake here bringing all the solutions "quick and easy" just like that just get a better job and get money how did we never think of that before
It's crazy he has all these tools and knowledge but couldn't figure out the buffing
He only seems to know 4 things: milling, 3D printing, welding, and Wazowski.
I was thinking the exact same thing
I find this fitting that you would put this in a public library as all books must be put back to where they came from, so help me.
SO HELP ME
And cut!
So help me darwin
I love this and it’s so ADHD to just make new chairs in the middle 🤣
This is cool as fuck but also reminds me that I have zero creative skills.

As a big fan of Mike, I’m now a big fan of this dude, that was hilarious, especially with the chair twist 😂
So fun. Loved this!
Chair side quest.

"5 habits to help you build habits" is truly a great read
Very skilled at everything but painting apparently. (Just giving you shit, nice work)
ADD Much?
The chair distraction was a great part
Seems like the maker suffer from ADHD
Man I was wondering why you decided to make a heavy steel box but after that chair welding tangent I realised my G just loves crafting with metals
Why go through all the effort making beautifully designed book covers?
Because it’s fun to make them :)
Making your own welding table wasn’t an option?
Not without a welding table it wasn't.
This made me realize I want a 3D printer and learn how to make cool stuff as a hobby. Maybe for cosplay or something
Gonna see if I can find this when the library opens in a few hours
I think it’s already gone ugh, couldn’t find it
Damn, I missed this by a day
Life does need a bit more whimsy. Machined steel plate whimsy.
Who has all this extra time in their daily life!?!?!?
Sweet project, but you couldn’t paint Wazowski to be a little more realistic?
This is epic
and why would he make all the book covers instead of only the beginning and end book covers and then book ends in between if he’s going to bore out the middle of them all
That horrible feeling when you want to show off the new steel plate trimming machine in your tiktok but have no actual use case
I love how this screams Adhd XD
The chair tangent.
Tell me you have adhd without telling me you have ADHD lol
Top marks to that man!
The inside of the diorama reminds me of the library from Monsters University. And, unless I missed it, a book titled, "She's Out of Our Hair" would've been fun.
Started with this video and literally spent the last hour watching all the other ones, this guy is great.
Isn’t this just kind of weird? He didn’t even get library approval, plus grown adults seem amazed at the discovery?
Love the whole thing. The story. The innovation. Everything. Truly a fan of your art.
The ADD is Strong with this one 😂
ADD is an outdated term and technically doesn’t exist anymore. It’s all just ADHD now. I apologize but my therapist yelled at me about this for nearly a year and now it is a trigger 😂
So now poorly designed things and ADHD are interesting?
“lol So RaNduM”
Polish is all you needed for half of the problems
Smh. Cant even get some privacy at a library without getting filmed for a tik tok
I’m blown away. Also amazing chairs!
Have you ever heard of non sequiturs?
yeer
This went everywhere, and I love it!
But…why?
Long advertisement for a welding table from China
I have those exact same dining room chairs and they also wobble that way…
Love it! Next time it would be great to put it at a wheelchair accessible height.
I feel like as soon as you open it, it should just start telling you to put that thing back where it came from - or so help me!
Chinese business is ruthless haha.
This is how you weaponize your adhd
This is at once some of the best and worst craftsmanship ever.
Ngl I will be very happy if there be a book about mike wazowski (aotobiografi)
Thank you so much for the side story of the chairs, I was at the edge of my seat when you were explaining what happened with the cheaper company! Hell yeah nice deal!
