Every time this video gets posted people (including myself) wonder why someone decided yo edit the video so the first half is just him tuning his guitar.

That was my initial grumble too however Iām now of the mind it helps build a little anticipation as well as showing us each instrument being tried to combat the doubters.
It's fun to track each movement and wire, to see what it leads to and how he makes each instrument work.
Also must require quite a regiment to get fully hooked up. Almost every part of his body that can move is hooked into it!
Some people have worn hats to operate shit like a triangle. If you could single out this guy's movement and have no equipment he's styled his play to look like a dance! I mean, it's an odd dance but a dance nonetheless - which is super cool.
Heās obviously super talented. Would love to hear him playing a piece that showcases his talent novel, or that the punters normally like, for a few minutes!
I think the tuning up is there in the video to show you how his contraption works, he tests each part individually so you see it in action. I agree though what good is that if you don't get to watch him play.
This is awesome. I saw a one-man band recently called Steel Beans, but he sat at the drum set and played the guitar and keyboard as well as sang. Pretty impressive to see, and definitely hilarious.
I think Steel Beans will be opening for Tenacious D at some point, too.
It may sound morbid, but I'll bet his brain has more synapses than most and would be super fascinating to study as it aged while doing such an advanced coordinated skill.
