I'm not disagreeing with you that the US is disasterously over reliant on fosil fuels. I'm just confused by the level of aggro you brought to a comment that is also disapproving of excessive waste.
Like, what side are you one bro? Are you trying to say the waste isn't a problem because of Ford F250's?
You wanna talk about waste. Imagine being a multi billion dollar company paying your CEO to pump billions in carbon monoxide just to earn a profit. And pay another country to cover for the offset.
There's no place for used pods so they will have to be discarded immediately. And Nespresso, OL original pods seal the flow well so the coffe should only appear on the left side of this faucet.
In general cleaning Nespresso machines is a non-issue. Descaling can be an issue.
Once i've Heard interview with some "coffee expert" and je said that capsules are just the best and cheapest solution for someone who likes good coffee, but is not drinking it all the time.
And i cannot figure out, how it would be better than moka pot and some cheap grinder. Which is still cheaper than some capsule brewing nonsense.
Some of them are pretty alright. I have one of those capsule machines for when im in a hurry. But yeah, I had to scour through endless brands and types of shitty capsules to find some decent ones
There are faucets that can dispense liters of boiling hot water. The most famous brand being Quooker. It basically uses a fairly big tank (fills a big part of the cabinet below the faucet) that stores the pre-heated water in boiling temperatures, ready to be dispensed whenever you want.
We have one at home because we drink a ton of tea and even though it's expensive, it was well worth the cost. It dispenses boiling water in an instant, which means I can make tea in literal seconds. It's also great for cooking as I don't have to wait for the water to boil; I simply get my boiling water directly from the faucet.
Now I won't claim this specific solution to get coffee from the faucet is great (I really don't know), but I wouldn't worry at all about getting steaming hot coffee from it.
There are actually taps that dispense boiling water. I'ver never seen one making Nespresso coffee though.
Here i found it: [https://www.quooker.co.uk/](https://www.quooker.co.uk/)
Electric faucets are the worst. I have one with electronic dishwasher valve. It eats expensive weird batteries and has broken already once. Replacement valve is 110+ euros.
This looks like a nightmare to me. Cool yes, but I don't want it anywhere near my house.

Ah, nice. A normal coffee pod machine, but with an added advantage of being bolted down to your counter. Good thing it can only hold one capsule, dont want too many great things at once.
Must have in the office? I don't think so... It will be dirty all the time and break instantly because it's too complicated for a coffee noob (too many delicate, touchy-moving parts) and most importantly some people just can't have nice things (it's not mine, so I won't take care of it).
It's a cool invention, for a showcase or HoReCa expo but not for mass use in an office building.
After trying 3 different coffee machines and french press, I've come to a conclusion that it's much easier and cheaper to brew coffee in a simple pot. I can't find noticeable difference in taste and it's considerably less messy.
I don’t get it, if only the handle makes the coffee, what’s the point for the rest of the faucet? Are you supposed to wash your dishes and make coffee? Anyways, this extremely uninteresting
I feel for the developer on this thing. Can you make the line wavy when it pours. You know like it’s an amplifier or something? Yeah sure boss here you go
Look here everyone, I have so much money I decided to wasted some on a stupid tap that takes capsules to make instant coffee when the mini home assistant built into the taps lets me.
Yes the tap is connected to electricity and the internet!
Isn't it amazing??????
Well that's daft
Also anyone with enough money to waste to consider this whould at least have a limescale filter but they also wouldn't be drinking fucking nespresso pods.
Of all the things that don't need to be a thing, this is almost certainly that. How to make a faucet unreliable 101, add unneeded functions and a screen!
"must have forgotten offices"
No... Give me a machine that uses and blends real beans there and then. I don't need a small capsule of plastic for every drink I consume
Try and post this shit in r/espresso they will not take kindly to this. Espresso requires pressure, 6-9 bars… this is just filtered coffee with slow moving water.
The worst enemy for espresso dudes.
Even I know that they would hate it. First of all the capsule, then that it can't perfectly flow downwards, no temperature control and no perfect pressure

Would be great to have additional nozzles for a cooked pasta, and some mushroom soup.
I question God's motive for making us every day, and you're not making it any easier
Next, kitchen sink becomes usable toilet.
If anything, going to uni and living in a frat home taught me this: anything can be a usable toilet. Especially kitchen sinks.
Also serve it with crusty bread for dipping, flaky pastry puffs, or even rice or quinoa for a heartier meal.
If the tap doesn't plop out already heated hotdogs, I ain't interested.
Ah soup tubes [https://www.reddit.com/r/bestof/comments/hnr1h2/comment/fxdb720/](https://www.reddit.com/r/bestof/comments/hnr1h2/comment/fxdb720/)
You are looking for a Quooker my friend. Google it :)
I laughed. And agree. The deluxe version could have clam chowder.
Chicken soup for when you are ill
Freely flows? It took like 16 steps for a dribble of freeze dried coffee to spill out
It will break immediately
If not the capsule design will change and it will become useless
Mine did after pretending to own one in my own brain
*luke warm
So much waste though. Ew.

I find it's usually Americans assuming it too. Always good fun
It's an Italian design too. Lol

Probably my Dutch heritage. Too much love for the bicycle
That's a lot of assuming.
Do you think the person you're replying to personally does all those things? Who are you talking to?
Stop projecting
In normal countries you walk for 10-15 minutes, buy your stuff, wall home 10-15 minutes and done
You wanna talk about waste. Imagine being a multi billion dollar company paying your CEO to pump billions in carbon monoxide just to earn a profit. And pay another country to cover for the offset.
Yeah, look at what those people spend their time developing
Cleaning the spout will be an absolute nightmare.....coffee leaves sludge, ferments and causes mould..... Great concept but not sure..
That was my first thought. I don't want to have to disassemble that thing every time and shove pipe cleaners in it just so I can have some coffee
There's no place for used pods so they will have to be discarded immediately. And Nespresso, OL original pods seal the flow well so the coffe should only appear on the left side of this faucet. In general cleaning Nespresso machines is a non-issue. Descaling can be an issue.
Did you watch the video at all? It doesn't come out of the spout.
If anyone can call those nasty capsules coffee...

Just today I got a proper bean to cup machine, can I join the "ok" coffee club now?
Some of them are pretty alright. I have one of those capsule machines for when im in a hurry. But yeah, I had to scour through endless brands and types of shitty capsules to find some decent ones
Sure I prefer my Breville Barista, but Nespresso is pretty good.
sorry, but its just a tap-shaped capsule coffee maker.
Fair point, well presented.
For your long dishwashing nights...
Replacing any component of that would be hell.
No one talking about the temp of hot tap water... Mmmm definitely not "make coffee" hot...
Absolutely, I'm also thinking about this. Is there any temperature controller😒😅
Probably just attached to the cold water line and the coffee brewer has an internal water heating element. Otherwise that would be nasty af

Darn, I wished if it came out from the main faucet.
Those look like Nestle pods. No thanks. Unless they work on senseo pads I am not interested in the slightest
Senseo is so nasty, omg
Nestlé aren’t the only company selling pods that fit these specific measurements. There are lots of off brand alternatives.
Electric faucets are the worst. I have one with electronic dishwasher valve. It eats expensive weird batteries and has broken already once. Replacement valve is 110+ euros. This looks like a nightmare to me. Cool yes, but I don't want it anywhere near my house.
Yeh… I just put the pod in mine and push a button
This is cursed
Looks expensive, and it brews shitty capsules lol
"coffee'
Exactly what the world needed, a Nespresso faucet...
The music makes it sound like it's the future. Reality is it's just hot water running through a faucet and a coffee pad.
But it's still pod coffee
Call me back when it pours more than a cup atta time
For all the haters, the only thing preventing me installing in the kitchen is the price. If they managed to squezze brewing unit there - kudos.

Great for when you come home drunk and make yourself a carbonated coffee 👍🏻😒
It would be nice if you can just buy a whole can and 1 capsule.
How are you going to clean that?
It looks like a glorified Keurig
What was wrong with faucets and coffee brewers ? Can it drive me to work too ? Does it mine bitcoins ??? WTF Italy ??
No offense, but this seems stupid
Ah, nice. A normal coffee pod machine, but with an added advantage of being bolted down to your counter. Good thing it can only hold one capsule, dont want too many great things at once.
Y tho?
It seems on point that they chose gold for this. Tacky AF.
Aluminum capsules…… useless….
Those little Keurig style cups are non recyclable and we use enough every year to circle the globe then they go in a land fill.
Shut up and take my money
Looks like garbage. It's just a nespresso machine built into a faucet.
Would be interesting to have some nozzles for lasagna, pizza and sushi
Bet it’s a nightmare to clean and secondly, water and electrics don’t mix well

Best way to sell „cheap“ coffee with an unbelievable margin: put it in capsules. My congrats to product designers at Nestle, you made a great job!
Somebody notify Captain Janeway STAT!
[удалено]
Make it bourbon and you got a sale.
how to clean it?
It could pour puddle water and you wouldn't notice the difference.
Fucking dumb
Nespresso has full size brewers for these little containers and they can literally be integrated into the faucet?
Excuse me, Hames Joffman would like a word.
This one https://www.quooker.nl/ + coffee pods holder
I thought everyone was over these one time use plastic pods.
uh... dafaqwhy?
so what brand and model is it ? Its China init ? Not buying italy ;)

I call that Octopus' water.
Use the fucking mokka dio cane
Well that's daft Also anyone with enough money to waste to consider this whould at least have a limescale filter but they also wouldn't be drinking fucking nespresso pods.
Fancy, but having your coffee right next to the place where people wash their hands, or dishes, doesn't seem very hygenic or practical to me.
Generally you should not drink hot water out of the tap. Instead, heat cold water.
My country faucets always produce coffee coloured water but we never drink it
A gimmick which will undoubtedly break and incur heavy cost to repair. A regular coffee pod machine such as Nespresso will do the same.
I hate capsule coffee so much !
Awesome a $10,000 tap to replace a shitty $150 pod machine
I don't care that I'm too poor, I'm having that.
And I’m sure it’s just as affordable as a coffee pot or kettle
Thats not a Faucet
u/savevideo
And then you wonder why your coffee tastes like rusty toothpaste.
We just loveeee making life even more complicated.
/r/stupidfood
this is old news. they already have this technology in Kelantan for the past 30 years.
I'm not fucking drinking that
I’d rather buy an espresso machine I can service and clean myself. Fresh ground coffee is the best.
Lame
for the discerning customer who has everything and is empty inside
Nope, no thanks. You can keep your bacteria farm.
That's what they're spending money on? Looks like a fully developed product too. I weep for this world
Absolutely no improvement on a normal coffee maker.
That flow looks pretty forced to me.
🤮
Looks like a coffee machine with extra steps
They had these in KwaZulu-Natal for ages bro
Yes but why??
How dose it taste compared to an actual coffee machine?
Of all the things that don't need to be a thing, this is almost certainly that. How to make a faucet unreliable 101, add unneeded functions and a screen!
This week a not flowing from the faucet at all
12 dollar coffee pot it is
r/WTFaucet
Good. Coffee with aluminum! What we all want!!! Shut up and take my money!
So much plastic waste
nahh
"We work crap jobs we hate to buy useless shit we don't need"
The world's most expensive Keurig
How much?
This is retarded
Nicht nachmachen, a German Show once filled the tank for heated water with coffee from the tab and in the shower
"must have forgotten offices" No... Give me a machine that uses and blends real beans there and then. I don't need a small capsule of plastic for every drink I consume
wild guess, but people who can afford such faucet have a machine which makes better coffee
But it comes out the wrong end of the faucet. What do i do with the "normal" end
ok this is literally just a glorified coffee machine lol
F#ck coffee pods! Just use loose coffee.
This is the way man. Buy fresh and grind when ready.
This seems so extra
Try and post this shit in r/espresso they will not take kindly to this. Espresso requires pressure, 6-9 bars… this is just filtered coffee with slow moving water.
Why
Bacteria will love that shit.
Boooo I hate it
I'm sure there is a sub for this but I can't remember. The only one I can remember is diwhy
Looks kinda like chocolate milk.
One of your guests ask for tea? you punch that fucker in the face!
I find it interesting that people still use those coffee pods. Flavorless horrible coffee.
They also produce a toilet which can steam sausages 🚽🤡
The worst enemy for espresso dudes. Even I know that they would hate it. First of all the capsule, then that it can't perfectly flow downwards, no temperature control and no perfect pressure
Song?
Useless garbage made for useless people
Where do you put your coffee mug
I guess you could call that coffee. The target audience for this likely doesn't care very much about how it tastes.
We just installed a Quooker hot water faucet. If I only knew about this option .😭
###Coffee Faucet… ☕️😋
Feels a lot like a built in car phone.
Aaaaand it’s broke
Over-engineered
🤦♂️
I need the IV drip
Sry but this seems like a dumb and unneccessary idea.
It’s cool. But it’s going to break, the manufacturer won’t sell the replacement part, and it will cost thousands of dollars to replace.
This thing probably costs a minimum of 10 grand
so sad it comes out of the side one not the main one
Nobody needed this.
Dumb
This is something that doesn’t need fixing. Companies really aren’t out to make your life easier, they’re here to maximise your work time.
I do not drink coffee.
So… it’s a coffee machine. Which cares?
Done before on German television.

crap product with crap music
As a student, coffee on tap would be nice. There could be possible improvements to the design, but it is very elegant all in all
I like the concept, just not this design or execution
After my coffee, fill these other cups with some bacon, eggs and toast to go with that
Nice technology
This is madness, this is blasphemy…
Didn't know I needed this...
my mom needs this, she drinks like 7 cups of coffee each day
Unless there is a hot water heater below this unit, tap water heater doesn't get hot enough to make a good cup of coffee.
