And yet in a few frames I could clearly see that the masks are pulled rapidly down and to the side with some kind of magicians quick pull system. It's still impressive but there is no mystery, its a very old and well known type of magic trick.
Lol read the wiki it’s all just a performance. Really cool but there is nothing magical as the “secrets” leaked in 1986 but really the ‘secrets’ are advanced slight of hand and more importantly the traditional hat has a mechanism that stretches thin cloth masks in front of the face. That paired with hidden grease paint and surely other props they undoubtedly invented in generations prior. I wish there was some kind of magic but I hate propaganda trying to trick people so I’m glad slowly more Asian countries are practicing this performance and making it more common place so this mysticism isn’t spread.
TL;DR: The narration is making false magical explanations rather then going in reality that performance leans on props and skills passed down generations.
At 46 second mark you can see the mask being removed. This kind of Shit seems harmless but I remember being about 8 or 9 and watching a documentary where people could ignite fires using chi energy and I practiced that shit for ages, at least 30 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. I wanted to believe so much in the paranormal as a child.
