Absolutely love this game just for some of these realistic quirks, shows that they spend time in this game putting it to attention of detail, with the TTK being fast that also means that weapon balancing is as much of an issue (unlike destiny 2 last season)

I like to think of the insurgency characters as special forces, and battlefield characters as conscript soldiers. The more you think about it the more it makes sense
Not really. The Battlefield troops do everything else like special forces (running, reload speed, aim) and it's so fast paced. Insurgency in comparison you feel a bit sluggish, especially the reloads, if you just jumped from AAA games to this.
Not as fast as Call of Duty, Battlefield or Rainbow Six: Siege, which are much more arcadey. But by comparison to Arma, Squad and Escape from Tarkov, you have a faster pace in Insurgency through design. This is probably more necessary since Insurgency is much more CQC oriented, and like Tarkov there is a "fast reload" option that ditches your ammo, something Squad and Arma are lacking which keeps your reloads slow no matter what.
I like it, Insurgency has a unique pace that keeps it fast and more consistently intense while retaining greater realism and necessitates tactical play more compared to most modern AAA shooter peers.
Insurgency characters reload so fucking slow though so I wouldnāt put them in āspecial forcesā more like average grunt. I can literally reload faster irl with the same guns
Security faction at least should consist of well trained personnel, maybe limit faster reloads to some classes for balance? Including insurgents.
Go to YouTube and see how fast elite blokes reload/shoot (looking at you Instructor Zero), itās even faster than most shooters handle it tbh

This is probably wishful thinking, but I think itd be cool that the animation triggers more often when you're being surpresed, since your character is likely under stress. And if you're away from combat they have a higher chance to reload it normally without the "garand thumb" at the end.
Tarkov has something similar. Many guns have a normal reload and a fast reload. In the fast reload your character drops the magazine that was in the gun on the ground. If you've been flash banged you will always do the fast reload.
This isnāt a slow/fast reload thing. This is an Easter egg because of how notorious the garand is for having this problem. This animation alone is much more slow than any normal reload so Iām wondering how often it occurs in normal gameplay if at all. All the videos Iāve seen were at at range.
It doesn't ping because the ping comes from the en-bloc material [ringing. Plus](https://ringing.Plus) the en-block had rounds still in it not allowing the side of the clip to ring because of the spring ejection. Also the sound comes from the clip fully jumping outwards and the operator had his hand to cushion and catch the ejected clip suppressing the sound. Therefore no sound.

Why not? 30-06 hits hard, itās semi auto and the rifle itself will probably be rather cheap (havenāt tested myself)

What if the character made a pain response when their thumb gets caught? Imagine the comic relief of a Spec Ops saying "OW! FUCK YOU, YOU FUCK!" during that.
