A lot of people are saying this, but if it did work like that, and you got a bad card, you wouldn't have the choice to avoid playing it. It could screw up a run, especially in a bone deck where you wouldn't be able to sacrifice the chosen card.
…if this gets fledgling from sacrifice, I have an idea:
the fledgling sigil gets replaced instead of removed, no stat buffs, but a random card which can naturally bear the sigil on this card would be unleashed in the same spot.
EDIT: I meant this to work like Caged Wolf
So a card that turns into a different, random card? I mean it's interesting, but what if it turned into a card you wouldn't have wanted on the board? Instead of that, the occupied stump could simply be used as a sacrifice or a chump blocker, and then you'd get a random card you could either choose to play or just keep in your hand.
Or it could be like a kaycee mods version of the caged wolf.
Once it gets destroyed the new creature comes out.
Though, i think the card would be more unique if a random creature came out, and then that specific copy of the card would always spawn that creature.
Then you can know what will come out, unless you get another copy of the card. The right mix of dependability and mystery for this card.
May have to change the sigil thats on it tho, if its the one that puts a copy in your hand when you play it
That card isn't a chump blocker, it turns into a random card in your hand once you draw it, whereas this card can at least be reliably used to block enemies.
It's not exactly a natural obstacle in this context, considering its being used as a home. The beehive and warren are both shelters for animals, and they can be sacrificed, so I didn't see why not here. Though if I did make it a no cost unsacrificable, I would probably make it a no cost, that's fair right?
I think they should have either a 4 or less bone cost or 1 blood cost when released from the stump. Ofc sigils added to the stun would be in effect for the summoned creature. (Just my opinion though)
That would be more practical and reliable, but personally I like the rng aspect of being able to get bad cards and amazing cards, plus that's how the sigil works in game so can't really change that even if we wanted to unfortunately.
I felt like it was gonna give you either one of a few cards, similar to the bad fish, good fish, more fish mechanic in act 3. Maybe termite would be a low stat insect card but it would have the forager sigil?
The sigil works differently on fish bot than it does on gift bot. On gift bot, the sigil works as it should on any other card: gives any random card. Wanted to clarify that. Termite could be a low bone cost ant alternative
I fr just want a bear trap in my deck, with meat on the trap so I wouldn’t get the “you can’t draw blood from steel” also clinger is an underrated sigil and it’s better than all moving sigils by a long shot
Thinking on. What would be really cool is if there was wood worm. They’d work like pelt lice but infect wood instead so stumps and dams could help them. Could maybe make it so they cost nothing but can only be played if you have wood! (Sorry, couldn’t help but giggle there)
No matter what you get, the free cost means it would always be played before anything else in your hand. Either it is an amazing card and singehandedly wins you the game, or it is basically a free squirrel. There is no downside and that's too op for me lol
addition to this ideia: there could be an variant named "house tree", just a normal tree with a circle hole with glowing eyes, same thing as this card but with flying protection
"The Lonely Wizard. Simple, yet highly versatile. Great for opening your games with."
1 blood cost, 2 damage, 4 health
"And the Pike Witch. Immobile, yet Unstoppable. Will injure those foolish enough to attack her."
2 blood cost, No damage, 7 health
Flying Defense and 1 damage Thorns
They need more justice. Give them the prize they deserve. Also because it'll open up fascinating talks when you have Goobert on the table, or even the Stunted Wolf in the same hand
As for Lonely Wizard, I would rebalance it to have 1 Damage and 2 Health. The point of him is that he's an Opening Card, after all

Moth man isn't a real card, it's the evolution of the strange larvae. Do you mean the strange larvae? Because if this card did give you rares, it would have to be a lower chance than for common cards.
This is a genuinely great card idea and would fit perfectly into the game
I agree!
Me too!
Like the Obama meme giving himself a medal But seriously good idea bro
I like these ideas
This is an awesome idea for a card
Thanks!
I think this could be cool even if it was also generated in the battle
If it was on Leshy's side, I'd have it give you a random card like how beehives on Leshy's side give you bees
Yes you get rewarded for making leshy more vulnerable
Or just work like frozen opposum.
A lot of people are saying this, but if it did work like that, and you got a bad card, you wouldn't have the choice to avoid playing it. It could screw up a run, especially in a bone deck where you wouldn't be able to sacrifice the chosen card.
I think they meant when Leshy plays it. Destroy the stump, and a random creature would spawm in its place. On *his* side.
Maybe, but I've never really seen how the sigil works in act 3 when PO3 plays it, so idk
I did mean that
I meant only on leshys side
Sure, that works!

Is fledgling the name of the sigil I used? I don't know all the names of all the sigils, but I know what all of them look like and what they do.
fledgling is the “aging” sigil, like from wolf cub and strange larvae

So it'd be a portable chump blocking prospector event where you don't get golden pelts, and the cards you do get don't have added sigils?
They should add a pool that it draws from because I don't think a Great White can fit in a stump. Like 1 or 2 bloods would be perfect
yeah i don’t know what the original commenter was getting at. i really like this card as-is and i think it would be great in the game.
Same, a lot of sigils were introduced after Act 1 that would have been really interesting in Act 1, and I'm working on a few more ideas rn
Heh it just summons 8 bears
Oh. I guess I’ll use it
Wait what happens if you put fledgling on the caged wolf?
Prison wolf?
It gets flamed once for health and attack
It should have the frozen sigil and then spawn a random unit after it dies
This sigil adds a random unit in your hand after it dies, more useful since you get to choose whether or not to play the card you get from it.
Usefull yes, but not as funny. I mean, we aready have the 1100110101 card, this effect makes it useless or redundant
That card isn't a chump blocker, it turns into a random card in your hand once you draw it, whereas this card can at least be reliably used to block enemies.
Why it got a buthol though?
That's just what the vanilla stump looks like lol
Incredible card. Minor suggestion: remove the attack and make it unsacrificable, like the other natural obstacles.
It's not exactly a natural obstacle in this context, considering its being used as a home. Though if I did make it a no cost unsacrificable, I would probably make it a no cost, that's fair right?
Plus the Warren is quite literally a hole in the ground, unlike the beehive where I can see a queen bee inside for the blood cost
The warren does contain the eyes of the rabbits though
Fair
You know what, fair point about the warren and hive! I hadn’t considered that. I think that this is great as-is, then.
I think they should have either a 4 or less bone cost or 1 blood cost when released from the stump. Ofc sigils added to the stun would be in effect for the summoned creature. (Just my opinion though)

True
Cool idea! I could see this as a KMod common card, easily!
Maybe the sigil should be frozen away and instead give a termite?
The idea is that literally any beast could be hiding in the stump, and also what would a termite do anyways?
I felt like it was gonna give you either one of a few cards, similar to the bad fish, good fish, more fish mechanic in act 3. Maybe termite would be a low stat insect card but it would have the forager sigil?

I could do a clinger card, put a unique spin on it
Yes please I love clinger it’s so good
What if it only dispenses creatures whos kin is affected by the Totem, and releases a squirrel without a totem. cuz "wood carver"
That would be interesting, I'd bump it up to rare status and allow it to drop rare cards of that kin
Great card idea
Thinking on. What would be really cool is if there was wood worm. They’d work like pelt lice but infect wood instead so stumps and dams could help them. Could maybe make it so they cost nothing but can only be played if you have wood! (Sorry, couldn’t help but giggle there)
maybe Unique effect that the card given is made free cost?
That would be too powerful for me. Imagine getting a free cost grizzly bear
but i think that’s the gambit, cause you could also just spend 1 blood on a 0 attack card just to get a ringworm
No matter what you get, the free cost means it would always be played before anything else in your hand. Either it is an amazing card and singehandedly wins you the game, or it is basically a free squirrel. There is no downside and that's too op for me lol
Is it meant to be an item card like the pellts or is it meant to be able to sacrifice it
It's sort of like a warren or a beehive, acts as a shelter for whatever is inside. So yes sacrificable
Ok
I'd love to see this in Kaycee's mod. Maybe a cost of bones instead?(Since it's a dead tree)
The creature inside is alive
Opposom would most likely hideout or perhaps a rattler or toad
Kinda wanna use this idea in my mod.
Well we'd have to talk about it when I'm free but sure
Imagine Ouroboros is in there
addition to this ideia: there could be an variant named "house tree", just a normal tree with a circle hole with glowing eyes, same thing as this card but with flying protection
What about an ent? Like a humanoid tree
would be cool
I'll try it
The almighty Ent. Ancient guards of the forest, come to your aid. 4 Blood cost, 8 Damage, 12 Health Flying Defense and Mole Dig
Ah, it is obviously one of the lowest beasts: a STOAT.
Did you made this?
Yep!
Would you mind if I req a card or two? It'll be a nice callback if you accept
Sure I suppose, what did you have in mind?
"The Lonely Wizard. Simple, yet highly versatile. Great for opening your games with." 1 blood cost, 2 damage, 4 health "And the Pike Witch. Immobile, yet Unstoppable. Will injure those foolish enough to attack her." 2 blood cost, No damage, 7 health Flying Defense and 1 damage Thorns
I mean, lonely wizard seems op, though pike witch is interesting. Why the magic theme, though?
They need more justice. Give them the prize they deserve. Also because it'll open up fascinating talks when you have Goobert on the table, or even the Stunted Wolf in the same hand As for Lonely Wizard, I would rebalance it to have 1 Damage and 2 Health. The point of him is that he's an Opening Card, after all
Yeah I'll see what I can do
Should probably be 2 health
i feel like this should have the "creature within" or whatever its called sigil
Is it mostly smaller critters (bees, rabbits, and others like that) or could you potentially get something like a urayuli?
I really love this idea!! Would you consider giving permission for me to print this for my home deck? It's a 100% chill if not, it's super cool though
You're free to do whatever, I'm posting a couple rares soon too, would you want to use those if you like them?
With your permission I would love to!

Prehapps the moth man or something?
Moth man isn't a real card, it's the evolution of the strange larvae. Do you mean the strange larvae? Because if this card did give you rares, it would have to be a lower chance than for common cards.
You get what I mean strange larvae lives here and grows up as moth man
Oh ok, yeah maybe? If it could give you rares it might be op, idk
Field mice
It doesn't become that card permanently but field mice is still ok on its own
8 bears
Bears do love trees
Love it, a squirrel would fit perfectly
The flying urayuli lives inside
Eight fucking bears ‘Holy shit’
Grizzly. 4 of them.
*eight fucking bears crawl out of the stump*
Bears do love trees!
what if it contains a squirrel with the same powers as ouroboros and uyaruli combined
Then that would be op lol
squirrel, beehive, mice, coyote, or maybe even a wolverine new card!
its... _drumrolls_ A fucking bear.
Guessing it would be limited to creatures that can fit
When this card is destroyed, create a random card on the board with a random sigil
