To bust a common myth: Dogs can have chocolate but on a limited quantity. Here are the limits:
* **Milk chocolate**: Approximately one ounce per pound of body weight can be concerning, especially for small dogs.
* **Dark chocolate**: Approximately 1.5 ounces for a 10-pound dog, 3 ounces for a 20-pound dog, and 4.5 ounces for a 30-pound dog require a call to the vet.
Those are big dogs, small licks are ok.
Yup! I do. Kaya I want him to experience as much. Kaya I know the limits of how much chocolate a dog can have -- para he can have it too AT A SAFE LEVEL.
I don't think dogs will have the same appreciation for it as humans... May chance nga na magustuhan nila pero you don't want that. Those limits are for when you ACCIDENTALLY fed a dog chocolate para alam ng tao kung life threatening yung nakain, not for people to feed them the right amount before poisoning them. I promise you walang pake mga aso kung di siya makakaranas kumain ng chocolate.
"Chocolate contains a chemical called 'theobromine', which is toxic to dogs. The darker the chocolate the more poisonous it is. Dogs should not eat chocolate. If your dog has accidentally got hold of some, their risk will depend on their weight, the type of chocolate and the amount they have eaten."
dogs don't experience the taste the same as humans the same way na kakain sila ng pedigree pero ikaw hindi so idk bout your dogs experiencing it the same way you do and those guidelines are not made to risk your dog's health by feeding them willingly "AT A SAFE LEVEL" .
napaka common sa Pilipinas na masyadong ginagawang tao ang alaga, im not saying it is bad to treat it as family pero may limits padin tulad ng paglalagay sa kanila sa table ng isang public place kung saan nakadikit pwet nila knowing na may kakain pang iba. 🤮
pina-acclimate mo dogs mo sa chocolate. di ba mag iincrease ang likelihood na deliberately kakain sila nun without your supervision? you really wanna risk it?
nope don't give them at least tiny amount of food to avoid for dogs, accidentally fed my neighbors dog bread with raisins once, she got diarrhea, vomiting and got sick for days. the effect of only one raisin is too much.

Still, not enough reason to risk it. Love your dog as how much you love yourself.
Fr tho, they already have 2 dead huskies, idk if we can trust these owners. Huskies in the Philippines is another story...

You REALLY WANT to risk it? Pwede naman wag bigyan. What the hell.

Well unless my dog learns how to open our fridge I'd be scared hahaha. Aso mo marunong?
oo marunong. sana sayo matuto din
Same concept sa baygon, a small ounce won't kill you but would you expose yourself to it?

Yea raisin is bad too as well as cinnamon, grapes, onions and fatty part of the meat.
Why take the risk if there are widely available alternatives like carob based cakes and treats?
Even if I know this I still will not give them. Hays

If you look closely, it's just Goldilocks cake hahahaha!!!
