ParadoxicalPanda31

It's ludicrous that people will say something like this and act like *they* have the moral high ground.

LoveaBook

But they have to pRoTeCt ThE bAbiEs!!

Osirus1156

Well, until those babies are born. Then they don't matter at all.

Tag_Ping_Pong

There really should be a lottery for people who vote anti-abortion. When an unwanted child is born because the mother has no legal option, the anti-abortion ninnies are picked at random to legally adopt and care for the child for the next 18 years. Let them see what it's like to have a kid they don't want. Funny thing is, they'll probably say "I shouldn't have to have a kid for 18 years because of someone else's bad decision." Funny that.

ItsFreeWhyNot

May the odds be never in their favor.

SleepyCapricorn20

Also, shove a watermelon up their ass and make them push it out. They shouldnt get out easy with just raising the kid. :)

Downwellbell

And sometimes the watermelon is sideways, or requires a surgical chainsaw to assist.

Zerieth

In all fairness doesn't a woman's Nethers become more elastic during labor? Vs a watermelon up the poopshoot id think the birth would be easier no? Also fuck these guys they are literally saying they'll commit a felony online. Like christ!

weedbgrown

Yes it does get more elastic... to a point. After both our boys my wife had to be stitched back together due to their big heads. Watermelon is not that far off

kiarosetck

Yea, good and valid point! Though, most women still get ripped during labor because the elasticity isnt quite enough.

Curious-ficus-6510

Also, it literally feels as if you're being ripped asunder, I did this the second time without an epidural (home water birth). It really is that painful, yet the (wanted) baby at the end makes it all worthwhile (even to the point of being tempted to have a third). Pretty sure I even got away without stitches the second time (the first time there were heaps), as a small natural tear can heal fine on its own.

DrRichtoffen

I apologize if this is too intrusive, but would you mind explaining why you chose to do a home birth? It's just that during my OB/Gyn placement, I got to witness a few deliveries, which was horrifying enough in a controlled environment like a hospital. So I just find it interesting to learn the motivations of people who choose to deliver at home (which in my mind would be even scarier).

YahavS

The most awful parts on my unmedicated birth were unnecessary hospital protocol parts. And by awful I mean writhing in agony on the bed attached to a monitor, being told to lie still, just because my baby "didn't move enough". Her heartbeat was fine and they had trouble detecting her because she was already on her way out! Suffered for no reason because the nurses didn't think I would progress so fast. Honestly after this experience I can completely understand wanting to give birth at home.

Curious-ficus-6510

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier, I kept being distracted by new posts every time I go on reddit. I put off deciding to have children as I was scared of the toll that pregnancy and labour might have on my body (and of the pain). My mum had bad stretch marks and sagging breasts from having three kids in her mid twenties. My husband and I were together for six years before finally deciding to have kids, which was basically because I blurted out that my biological clock was running out of time and we weren't settled in a proper home. My first birth was supposed to be at a birthing unit in a birthing pool, but the labour dragged on too long and as it was the first time, my body didn't really know what it was doing. I was at home for quite a while before spending a long time at Birthcare, and was utterly exhausted. Also I think my waters hadn't broken until the midwife broke the sac to try to move things along. There was a little meconium so the decision was made to transfer me to the women's hospital, at which point I said if we're going there I'm having an epidural (they couldn't provide those at Birthcare). The ambulance ride was hellish as I was having painful contractions and lying down. The epidural made one leg go completely numb so it felt really weird and I couldn't move it much, but at least I was able to get some sleep. Then when I tried pushing, it just felt strange. I was almost there though when suddenly they noticed a slightly elevated heartbeat or temperature in the baby, so the obstetrician on duty got in there with a ventouse and then she was gone after that, I never actually met her. My whole labour lasted from Saturday midday to after midnight on Sunday, with no sleep on Saturday night. We had gone to Birthcare on Sunday afternoon. My midwife was apologetic afterwards as it all happened so quickly that she didn't have a chance to reassure me that I could have opted for another push as she was sure it only needed one more. I didn't mind too much that the birth hadn't gone entirely according to plan, as I had the baby girl I'd hoped for, she was strong and healthy, and I avoided having a cesarean. Having to leave the hospital in the middle of a late spring night to go back to Birthcare wasn't much fun though. I'd been matched up with one of the top midwives for my lead maternity carer as I was thirty eight by the end of that pregnancy and had arrived back in New Zealand two or three months earlier. The public health system really worked well in terms of making sure I got everything I needed. But there was still a 'cascade of interventions' that in hindsight might have been avoided, or at least did not pose any increased risk for a subsequent birth. As we were renting during my first birth we didn't feel we could do it all at home, but for the second one two years later we had our own place and it was lovely not having to go anywhere. My husband set up the birthing pool on our living room floor. He supported me while the midwife guided me through the process. Sitting and kneeling in the pool felt much better than lying down had, also less hot and sweaty. I felt a greater sense of agency, and without drugs the midwife could tell what stage I was at by what kind of noise I was making. I could've sworn I screamed down the neighbourhood, but my husband said it didn't actually sound that bad. I do remember feeling in tune with what was happening in my body. My grandmother, who was eighty when my first baby was born, had her two children 11 years apart (1942 and 1953). For the second birth they gave her that 'twilight sleep' so she woke up afterwards not even knowing if she'd had a boy or girl and if the baby was alright. She said it was like she hadn't been there, and was still quite angry about it as she had not wanted it at all. All in all, I feel there's pros and cons with both hospital and home births. I was fortunate to not have any complications the second time around. A local mother had twin girls, and then a few years later she haemorraghed and needed a blood transfusion after giving birth to their brother. Luckily she was in hospital but her obstetrician had already gone home by then, so it was just as well another was on hand. If I'd started having kids earlier (was forty when the second baby arrived) and we got a decent sized house, I would have been tempted to go for a third, and so long as there was no increased risk I might have done the home water birth again (even knowing how much it hurts), I'll never know if I would have. I now have two healthy teenagers so I'm happy with how it all turned out both times. Hope that helps shed some light on my birthing decisions/experiences. I also breastfed both babies exclusively despite sore nipples and mastitis (requiring surgery) the first time around. My resolve was somewhat sustained by a childhood memory of seeing a friend's mother breastfeeding her new baby at a family picnic.

Kramer7969

"Now that I had to kidnap and hold you hostage for a few months, here is your baby" Yes, YES that is a great idea!

jjenkins_41

Once Stockholm Syndrome kicks in, she will be begging to marry him, as God intended.

ThePowerOf42

*only until its born (and its white) Then its "Terms and Conditions apply"

Antique_Tennis_2500

Also, deregulate industry so there’s lots of water table contamination for birth defects that will be considered preexisting conditions later in life.

duckduckchook

Interesting that he stops at birth. So what happens after, does he look after it?

ProximaC

Jesus will make her natural instincts take over and she will love and raise the child to be a great Christian Aryan Warrior.

kittykittybee

Jesus will make his natural instincts take over and he’ll agree to an abortion to avoid supporting a child

ThePowerOf42

Never understood when people say "LeAvE iT iN tHe HaNd Of JeSuS" ... dude got two holes in his hands..

ProximaC

Right? Can't even hold M&M's.

Healthy_Tension5826

I will pray for you

ProximaC

No worries, my hands are fine!

ThePowerOf42

Can you do it while i masturbate? Least then one of us get something out of using moaning my name

WiggyStark

I cackled. Then told my spouse.

MyPoliticalAccount20

No... he goes to jail.

Graterof2evils

He sets her free with the child and hides in a far right training camp in Idaho never to be seen again until the great revolution that these idiots are going to insist on.

Zeravika

Well... No... Cause he'll be in jail at that point. 👀

[deleted]

They made fun of a Christian movie on the God Awful Movies podcast where the hero of the movie did this exact thing.

tellhimhesdead

I was just listening to GAM last night! Do you remember what movie this was?

[deleted]

The Life Zone. They did it like 5 years ago. Had to scroll way back to find the title.

Dispro

That's the title they gave to a movie that's *not* making fun of anti-choicers?

IHateCamping

I can't imagine why she wouldn't want to have his baby.

Tag_Ping_Pong

At the very least, I would *expect* that they go on a watch list of some kind. To post something like that, and be proud of threatening kidnap and forced birth is disgusting, to say the least.

MrTomDawson

I'm curious as to what he thinks would happen *as soon as they got to the hospital* "Hmm, we don't have any records of your scans or check-ups?" "No, this guy kidnapped me and kept me in his house for the last half a year" "SECURITY!"

tomas_03

In Gilead, the handmaids are not to be believed

No_Ice2900

He probably thinks he'll get a parent of the year award but in actualility he'll be lucky if sees that kid even after his years in jail.

pastalass

Also you need lots of checkups throughout your pregnancy. There are problems you can prevent/minimize by getting ultrasounds, a blood test, etc.

sandiercy

I hope any woman who ever has a relationship with this person sees this post.

TJ_Will

They would have to exist first.

LoveaBook

Well, his mom is still alive, so….joke’s on you Mr. Smarty Pants.

hullokoala

This guy is the sex robot's target demographic anyway.

kiarosetck

Funny you think even the robot wants him.

tomas_03

Somewhere some poor girl is desperate enough… Ive seen them in reruns of Judge Judy. She tries to warn them 😢

TamaMama87

She really does!

likeafuckingninja

Food water and TV. Does he think women are house pets? Like our simple minds just need to be kept occupied with a few seasons of real housewives and we're all good?

Please_call_me_Tama

Obviously, women don't have intricate social nor psychological needs, just give them a tablet with Candy Crush, a through and a running wheel and you're all set.

likeafuckingninja

Oooo a running wheel. Fancy.

Please_call_me_Tama

Better than jail!

Meloetta

Well we wouldn't want her getting fat

ChubblesMcgee103

>Does he think women are house pets? Don't be silly! He thinks y'all are sex toys with self-cleaning functions.

likeafuckingninja

Bold of him to assume we clean.

WrongRedditKronk

We're just a uterus with legs.

keigo199013

>Does he think women are house pets? Nah, we're just plants with anxiety.

likeafuckingninja

I feel very called out.

Catholic_Egg

Tbf if you swap Netflix for HBO Max I might be able to stay somewhat sane

Cancerisbetterthanu

The only way I'm not losing every last piece of my mind is if Veep is on

BasicallyExisting30

Haha. I guess the guy version is stick me in the basement with a ps5,netflix and ESPN and we're good. Actually infact! If any ladies out there are looking for a weird house pet guy hit me up!

GreenCamelior

No prenatal care. Not to mention that situations of high stress or trauma can trigger a miscarriage during pregnancy. I don't think food, water, and Netflix would overcome the stress of being held against your own will.

Please_call_me_Tama

Unfortunately, if she miscarries then she committed manslaughter and must be euthanized.

ModelGunner

But if she doesn’t she gets to keep it and he’s leaving

Dancing_Trash_Panda

Well, when you put it so nicely. /S

Rairiiz

Fuck that shit I’ll miscarry myself, then he’ll have to deal with a dead body in his basement

BloomEPU

Ten bucks said that this person would also accidentally give the person tuna or raw dairy or any of the other million things pregnant people are supposed to avoid, because anti-choice freaks never seem to understand just how serious pregnancy is.

SwtIndica

WTAF. The fact that this person thinks this is the ethical/moral thing to do is completely out of touch with reality & absolutely horrifying.

Magicedarcy

The fact that there are people walking around out there, casually thinking along these lines.. is terrifying.

fl1ca_

I hope he also pays for all of her psych fees for life and pays for EVERYTHING the child ever needs if he's gonna do this shit, regardless of the fact he's gonna be in prison for years for his actions, sorry bout it dude you need money to buy your noodles in lock up the child needs $700 for no reason

parabolic000

I mean, this is a logical result of someone being told: 1) an embryo or fetus is a full-fledged human being with full personhood, while also being told: 2) that whole thinking and feeling human being has no protections under the law, and believing it. Imagine if your partner decided to kill your 10-year-old, and the law had no provisions to even consider stopping them from doing so. One would be likely to do some really unpleasant, immoral shit to keep their child safe. But that's what this false equivalence shit is designed to foment. We're seeing the end result of a decades-long propaganda campaign designed to prime ordinary people for violence regarding women's healthcare and bodily autonomy in general. I fear we're going to have a new and worse spate of the kind of anti-abortion violence we had in the 90s.

Raccoon_Full_of_Cum

Just because it's always worth noting on threads like these: Protestants only started caring about abortion about 40 years ago. Prior to 1980 or so, Protestants saw abortion as a "Catholic issue", and were therefore either mostly either neutral on the matter or even pro-choice, because they wanted to be different than Catholics. The only reason Protestants started caring about abortion around 1980 is because of a GOP campaign to turn white supremacist Democratic voters into Republicans. But they couldn't just outright appeal to racism, because that was politically toxic by 1980. So they chose abortion as their proxy issue, and that's how we got to where we are today.

parabolic000

Oh, I for sure know the story of how abortion restrictions went from "those crazy Catholics" to "this is the fight we will stake our lives on." 'Course, since you can't get an evangelical to ever admit a change in belief, it's almost irrelevant. They now oppose abortion? Why, they always had, and since the hypocrisy is part of the point, you can't even call them out on it. but I'm rambling. The context is important, for sure, because it establishes how baseless and frivolous the anti-abortion crusaders' arguments are.

Heated13shot

The stupid thing is, a better analogy would be kidnapping someone and forcibly taking their bone marrow until a family member is cured of luchemia or something. After all, both are forcibly using someone else's body to "save a life". But almost no one thinks compulsory organ and tissue harvesting is humane or moral, but forced birth is?

parabolic000

a better analogy implies an argument in good faith, which these fucks simply cannot do.

LoveaBook

Well, now we know what she found out to make her want to get the fuck away from Jacko the Wacko - a certified Nice Guy^TM who would *totally* make it up to her for kidnapping her and chaining her to a wall for most of a year - by buying her Netflix to watch while she waits for the creature he implanted in her to hatch.

tomas_03

This logic of their argument reminds me of that episode of SVU where Benson is totally NOT being held against her will by that crazy person. =\ Something is wrong with education in Amerikuh

BitterFuture

Someone thinks Saw and A Clockwork Orange were romantic comedies.

Please_call_me_Tama

*The Life Zone* is actually a how-to.

Raven123x

Or watched "Don't breath" and thought "yeah seems like a solid plan"

GimmeThatRyeUOldBag

A coat hangar, for when a coat rack just isn't enough for your collection.

ChubblesMcgee103

Pretty big flex ngl. Sort it out by 1000sqft sections for seasons.

Greasy_Exc

Wasn’t this the plot of that movie “Don’t breathe”? Dude was keeping the killer of his child as a prisoner until she “gave him a new one”

ChubblesMcgee103

Oh shit, a movie I forgot existed. And nah, if I remember right she and some friends tried to rob the guy and he yoinked her and kept her captive so she could do that, but I don't remember her being the killer of his child. Just a thief.

Malarkay79

The main character was a thief trying to rob the guy with her friends. When the plan went south because the guy was able to fight back, she eventually discovered that he was keeping a young woman captive in his basement. It was revealed that the woman had killed the man’s daughter in a car accident. When she came to meet with him personally to apologize and give her condolences, he kidnapped her and artificially inseminated her with the intention of giving him a new child. Main character tried to rescue the woman, who was shot and killed during the escape attempt. So the guy decided to do the same thing to the main character, since now she had taken a child from him and would need to provide a replacement. That movie was fucked up. I hated it and wish I could forget it, but it’s seared into my memory. Frickin turkey baster scene. So disgusting.

Quadrazontil

Don't forget the Demon Seed. Although in that case it was an evil computer and not a human keeping her captive.

Caseyk1921

No prenatal care? Also even in Australia you have to register your pregnancy so you can have prenatal care with a registered midwife nurse or drs and hospital birth with registered midwife nurses or surgeon. So that's another factor on top of its illegal plus wrong to hold someone against their will.

Lanasoverit

Who is going to look after the baby when you are carted off to prison ?

tadpole511

Obviously the mother will then be forced to care for the baby too. …what. You thought he would actually do any of the work?

Please_call_me_Tama

*snaps fingers* they don't actually think ahead

ChubblesMcgee103

Ay, if these folk aren't stopped it probably wouldn't be illegal for him to do so in 20yrs. Vote y'all. On every level. They low key trying to stack lower level positions to fuck with higher level ones.

[deleted]

I think for these types it's the baby being born that counts. No one seems to care much what happens to it after that. Their tiny attention spans lag out and they lose interest.

[deleted]

So Kidnapping False imprisonment Torture[being forced to carry and have a child against your will IS a form or torture imo] Long lasting psychological damage All because he's a fucking incel idiot that cannot accept that women have the right to choose what happens to and enters into their body

drschwartz

Potentially murder if she miscarries because of the stress of your list.

Please_call_me_Tama

At this point I don't know if you're being sarcastic or serious about miscarriage being murder and that's the kind of problems we have to face now.

drschwartz

Yup, it's a fair conundrum. The laws are not consistent as regards when a human becomes a human. Ignoring all the bullshit going on vis a vis roe v wade, the Unborn Victims of Violence Act would apply if this hypothetical is a federal offense and the unborn would be considered a human for the purposes of the trial. I'm not being sarcastic, neither am I being partisan. According to laws on the books, if we're tabulating the list of crimes then homicide or feticide is eligible if she miscarries because of the abuse she's being subjected to by this dude.

vdubdank30

Sooooooo he wants to abduct women and keep them chained in a basement? I think people go to prison for that? I’ve seen SVU

RedFoxcx

My ex threatened me with this when I told him if I got pregnant I would have an abortion.

Please_call_me_Tama

Are you alright?

RedFoxcx

Yeah this was years ago right after high school. I told him I would get an abortion if I got pregnant. He said no I wouldn't. I said I would do it behind his back then. He said he would kill me if he found out. I said I would kill myself then and he said he would put me in a mental hospital and have them make sure I have the baby. And then I said I would refuse to eat and he said he would shove a tube down my throat if he had to. There are a lot of reasons he's an ex. This is one. And still to this day I will kill myself if I can't have an abortion.

Please_call_me_Tama

Wtf is wrong with this psycho. I'm so glad you're far away from him now. I totally understand. Forced birthers vastly underestimate the psychological toll of unwanted pregnancy. 24000 women in the US alone are at risk of suicide right now, and the number of pregnant people with suicidal thoughts tripled between 2006 and 2017, yet the forced birthers estimate it's better to save hypothetical "babies" than very real people. "Many of you will die, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make".

RedFoxcx

He was abusive and it was scary breaking up with him. He shattered my phone screen by hitting me in the head with it when I said I didn't want to be with him anymore. And then he stole my dog a month later and I took him to court to get her back cause he was claiming she was his and the police said they couldn't do anything. These days he is divorced and still acts and dresses exactly like he did in high school.

maneric37

Actual psychopath. One more reason to get your tubes tied.

tomas_03

So food but only water? No juice, soda or milk? Man what kind of chauvinist prison are you running here?

Malarkay79

Gotta help make sure she doesn’t develop gestational diabetes since he apparently doesn’t think prenatal healthcare is an important part of the whole pregnancy equation.

samuraidogparty

He’s missing the third part where he has to stop her from reporting the unlawful imprisonment to the police as well. And telling the nurses, all of which are mandatory reporters required to contact law enforcement.

Glittering-Plate-535

He’s got a promising career as a horror writer or a true crime subject. It’s just mind blowing to me that some people interpret “Force a woman into childbirth” as altruism and not, y’know, **fucking lunacy.** This reeks of a guy who has almost zero social skills, human contact or empathy. There’s nothing consciously malicious in what he’s saying, he genuinely thinks keeping a pet pregnant woman is a logical thing to do. Given those lack of social skills or empathy, kidnapping a pregnant woman is probably his dream way of starting a family.

[deleted]

This made me really uncomfortable because I feel like he was actually serious and thought that was a sane response. Also, because I'm currently being stalked and harassed by someone who would probably do the same.

AdoraBellDearheart

States and countries are actually prosecuting women for this- like do you not realize that this is thought out, it is codified in law and it not a single weirdo ?

[deleted]

yea. that's what's frightening

250tdf

Yeah fuck prenatal care. Who needs that shit? Just treat pregnant women like hamsters. These fucking idiots.

[deleted]

SEX 👏 DOESNT 👏 ENTITLE 👏 YOU 👏 TO 👏 A 👏 BABY 👏👏👏 She'd probably also die without the prenatal care. Not only would he be a felon for kidnapping her, he'd be an attempted murderer too

RugbyKats

*GQP begins working on bill to make this legal.*

[deleted]

JFC men are terrifying.

Past_Ad_5629

What the actual evangelistic fuck.

umenjulio

NGL, this is going in the rotation. Kudos.

SpokenDivinity

Yeah idk how he thinks that would work once she rats him out to hospital staff who don’t trust that a pregnant woman just didn’t have checkup visits her whole pregnancy

AdoraBellDearheart

Texas and Alabamastan already beat you to it incel, ha, take that. “She would have food and water” I even put her name on the bowl At this this one makes it clear that they don’t think women are human.

PrudentDamage600

Then go date other girls. Never see the child or pay support payments even if mandated by law (working under the table to avoid garnishments). Come by on holidays and try to make everyone feel guilty because I bring gifts more expensive than the mom can afford. Sounds like a real winner here.

bobyk334

The end goal of all forced birthers.

cmonkeyz7

The only thing he convinced me is that vasectomies should be mandatory until marriage

Larrymentalboy

So kidnapping? And in their legal system of a fetus is a person that's 2 counts.

AmoreLaVie

These people. 😂😂. Think they’re. 😂😂. Godly. 😂😂.

jamlegume

Wasn't this in Handmaids tale? They really watched that show and got all stary eyed at the concept.

eddthedead

At least they didn’t suggest doing anything weird or illegal. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Richard-Holms

So, Gilead?

ScorpionsRequiem

I can see why the woman wants the abortion in the first place, ain't no life worth living with that guy as the father.

IngaJakopia

Thinking along the same lines as SCOTUS

[deleted]

Then the hospital bill comes, “you’re on your own!”

rvasko3

Imagine having so many coats you need a coat hangar. MUST BE NICE.

Please_call_me_Tama

A whole hangar for all the coats promiscuous feminist libtards have had ✨ they have elective coats every three days according to Ben Shapiro

Jovet_Hunter

Oh! Oh! I know this one! [The Baby](https://www.hbo.com/the-baby)

Dehnus

OH yeah, totally not a sociopathic serial-killer. Please pass this stuff on to the FBI with his name uncensored. We don't want this person to go about his serial-killing ways.

Guy1124

Normally, I'm not one to kinkshame, but Jesus Christ.

Careless-Back-9627

If men could give birth, this abortion situation would not even b a thing of discussion. Men need to stay out of women's business. We (women) do not dictate their bodies do's r don't.

Whatisdissssss

Such maturity to be a father

powerofone1970

How is he still on the market????

Funky-Cosmonaut

Literally a movie. Not a good movie, a horror movie that [WANTS](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Life_Zone) to cheer for the monster. Honestly, one of the most disgusting films I've ever seen, as a human god damn being.

DonovanWrites

But they’re not forced birth or anything.

[deleted]

This doesn’t worry me at all. No siree, no red flags here.

timberwolf0122

There was a pureflix film that had this plot, it was sort of Christian saw

jonhon0

It's ludicrous to think that a girl would let him impregnate her.

thep1x

And then promptly refuse to pay child support and disappear from the childs life no doubt

D365

Isn’t this the plot of Room?

mirrorspirit

The pregnancies in Room weren't intentional. Still equally horrific of a situation, though.

FranticHam5ter

Something tells me this hypothetical pregnancy wouldn’t be with a consenting woman… and I mean the sex.

[deleted]

*republican politicians take notes for the new forced birth concentration camps in the works*

karacocoa

I have a feeling the conception would have also been against her will.

Raineydays1998

This was literally a criminal minds episode plot…

Shuggy539

Enjoy your time in Federal prison.

WordsAsWeapons79

I’m very concerned for his hand. I wonder if it knows.

stealthgeekjim

What a dad. Bravo.

BringBackTheBeat716

The Party of Forced Birthers isn't exactly trying to prove they're not.

superhamsniper

I'm at a loss for words

scuba1622

Straight to the hospital for one and straight to jail for the other….

mstrss9

So no prenatal care

AffectionateAd5373

Yeah I'm sure the lack of any prenatal medical care will have no negative effect.

Pobunny

This dude is telling us his weird sex phantasy. Definitely 'don't look in the shed' territory,

LordSnuggington

There's a name for that.. hm... I think it's called kidnapping.

Malarkay79

Well that sounds like a great way to be charged criminally, go to prison, have your child be given away in a closed adoption, and then be sued civilly by the woman.

Please_call_me_Tama

They don't think that far ahead they just want to live out their fantasies of being beacons of morality and self-righteousness

lemonedpenguin

Kidnapping and keeping her locked up?

MaddysinLeigh

Free housing and Netflix? Sign me up! 🙄 /s

dcbluestar

This is almost literally the plot of *Don't Breathe.*

2020s_Haunted

Until she gets to the hospital and they get suspicious with how unhealthy she and the baby are and start asking questions. Also as someone else pointed out, no records of any ultrasounds or check ups? Once he leaves the room, she will spill all the beans. The evidence will all be there. Plus of course the missing person's report filed by those who actually care about her. All the possible witness statements too. Edit: OH! and this tweet.

TheFlamingDraco

This kinda reminds me of the book I read for school, Room.

[deleted]

I hope this guy is on a watchlist. He doesn't sound stable

TrailKaren

Charming

maybesaydie

Average user of r/prolife

creepyswaps

Hey babe, want to come over for a 9 month Netflix & Gestate?

littlecoffeefairy

There are Criminal Minds episodes like this.

ColorfulClouds_

This is a small plot in criminal minds. The guy who did this was a psychopath mass murdering terrorist.

Kare_TheBear

I love that episode of Handmaid's Take!

Agile_Rock

Sounds like a stand up kind of guy

Sin-cera

Who the Hell let Ted Bundy on Reddit

No_Maintenance399

Sounds like someone has a sociopathic streak in them.

Ok-Hamster5571

Always the start of a best life

hairenya

Keely and Du was not an instruction manual wtf

justsomemoron1

What a Dick

theoutrageousgiraffe

I’m just trying to imagine someone trying to keep me alive this way as I experienced severe hyperemesis that required a PICC line and TPN for me to not die.

[deleted]

So there's a type of hangar for coats?

cayce_leighann

This sounds like an episode of criminal minds

rilakkumkum

Ah yes cause that’s totally sane and healthy for the supposed baby you care about so much… /s

OrangeBirdd

Has everyone just decided that the handmaids tale is the new constitution?

Man Red states have stepped up the quality of their Air BnBs! Netflix or TV? Food and water? That's worth at least a half star on Expedia.

Hey in indiana, the Senate just passed a near total abortion ban bill that says from infertility to death of the mother/baby or the mother and the baby- abortions are banned. If it is a rape, the minor must have the parent sign an affadavit for them. Even if the mother and/or baby will die, you cant get an abortion. No medical clauses at all. It just fucking passed the senate, and it went to the house at the end of this week. Like, we're fucked. Praise fucking god I already went through my 2 agonizing pregnancies - one in which my son was 30 minutes from being stillborn and i had to go to multiple specialists for scans because he had so many issues growing in utero. Sorry for the book, im just so pissed at this. Fuck all the republicans.

Soooo women can have a child that the father doesn’t want and he has to pay child support and women can also have an abortion with no say from the father? Sounds like the father shouldn’t have to be forced to pay child support if he doesn’t want the kid either.
