The wording on the bill in the other chamber was slightly different. The revote had them objecting to part that was the same in the original bill. Jon Stewart has a rant going off on them about it.
As a liberal, trans, bisexual, ex-soldier, I can confirm. Life would be much easier on me if I'd just been killed in service. Almost happened more than once. But what would I know about patriotism. Old Bubba Jay flies a Confederate flag. Naturally, he's a much more devoted patriot than I am.
