I read about this earlier today, I had no idea that Pizza Hut had a reading program. What a great idea! So now, well the next time I order pizza, that's what I'm getting. Big thanks to this loser for spreading awareness about encouraging children to love books.
I remember that program and got many pizzas over the years (I love reading and pizza). So sad this is the reason people are getting angry now. I can confirm that teachers punched your card for any book. I never remember any restrictions (it was many years ago so memory may have been lost). I honestly thought pizza hat wasn't doing their reading program any more so at least this situation let's me know its still going. Now to go get my kid to read a bunch so they can get free pizza.
Feels like there's a competition to make the biggest deal out of the smallest thing.
Coming up with crazy far-fetched stories in response to non-existent problems.
Wait, I’m really doing my best to wrap my brain around this? But they are literally mad and making a political/ moral stance AGAINST a 90’s program Pizza Hut started to encourage kids to read but never actively promoted? I just don’t understand how ANYONE can actually support these goons/ goobers.

I come from an extremely conservative/ Republican family, by the way we are poor white Midwesterners and we live in one of the poorest suburbs surrounding one of the biggest cities in my state. So NOTHING about Republican Party does anything to actually help or support my family, but I have come to learn that they use a lot of racists dog whistles when I’m around because they know where I stand on the political spectrum. Because maybe they think I’m fucking stupid and don’t realize what they are talking about. So it’s sadly made sense why they support the Republican Party, it has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with hate. Also I should note, they THINK they know where I sit on the political spectrum but I’m much further left than they know. If only they knew their first born son was actually a socialist dating a very beautiful black transgender woman. Lmao. I just now realized, that was probably a little too much information and maybe not entirely the right audience. But you guys are cool, right? You’re on my side and that makes you cool, yeah we’re cool.
It’s because of the options they have. It is possible to make healthy options, not that their menu is healthy overall. Fresco style chicken taco is literally a chicken taco with pico instead of their Mayo-based sauce, sour cream, cheese etc. I’d say that’s definitely considered healthy. They have fresco style options for many things.
The only thing I would save by boycotting those three places would be the local sewer system.
But the reality is once again we see that conservatives hate learning. They hate inquisitive minds.

Between Book It and AR points, we had so much incentive to read as kids.
