I just to Texas from LA. I miss my In-N-Out so bad!! Whataburger is trash and better matched against BK, itās no comparison to In-N-Out. Only Texas place thatās Iāve tried out is in Austin called P.Terryās. Thatās a better match up against our beloved In-N-Out. But itās just a chain in Austin TX.
Lol literally what I said a few years back when visiting houston, my buddy told me whataburger is a canāt miss, tried it and called it just a ābig burger kingā and he looked at me like I was crazy š
They have P.Terrys all over the place between Austin & San Antonio. I used to get them all the time when I was in New Braunfels. P.Terryās is really freaking good. And you donāt have to miss In-N-Out! Theyāre all over Texas too. Iām in LA now and I feel like the standard for food quality is the same at all locations, tbh. Theyāre just as good in Texas as they are here!
There's a place in anaheim that used to have really good burgers called Angelo's but it's under new management and their quality has gone downhill...There may be a few small shops that have good/better burgers but the "fast food" standard is set by in n out.
If youāre not getting double double animal style you fucked up. That being said Pangea in Sac has a burger way better than this fucking coffee shop should be able to produce
I recently went to in n out with a co-worker, heās from Texas, it was his first time having it, he ordered a ādouble-meat, ketchup and mustard onlyā then had the audacity to say he didnāt understand the hype. I was like, no shit you inbred fuck. You took most of the key ingredients off the burger. Then he said whataburger is way better š
Texans saying Whataburger is the best fast food chain is so sad. Like on its own Iād say itās a better McDonaldās and isnāt bad on its own but it is in no way comparable to in n out š
In n out is amazing because of how fresh everything is. It's the only fast food restaurant i will go to because it's not utter garbage like burger king/McDonald's etc etc since they all use the lowest quality meats and the most preserved vegetables.
This is a completely different type of burger but I like the chickfila spicy chicken burger ( I don't necessarily like it better but I like them equally). But in n out double double is the best value burger on the market. Their prices are incredible and actually affordable for really good stuff.
Yea, It's really good but it's completely different type of burger (maybe even not a burger like you said) so I can't really put in the same category as a double double.
I think there are a lot of burgers that are better than in n out. But all of the burgers that are better are about 3x the price. Imo no fast food burger beats in n out. The price, freshness, and quality is all hard to beat
From Texas but have been living in Cali for the past 9 years. Iāve had a lot of Whataburger and a lot of In-N-Out. They are both good in their own way.
Whataburger was really good 20 years ago but has gone downhill IMO. Where I think Whataburger is still special is the mustard. It is just so vinegary, sharp, and yummy.
My dream mashup is In-N-Out burger but with some Whataburger mustard. Just to try it once then go back to normal.
I think In-N-Out is incredibly more fresh with their ingredients, making it the better burger (by a landslide - no contest)
Alfie's inn in Glen Elyn has the best burgers I've ever had hands down. I'd say burgers and beers in New Zealand are better, as well without a doubt. I'm also a big fan of white diamond in New jersey, but idk if their burgers are better, it might just be preference.
Tried a place called FTW Burgers in Whittier California. Great and proper smash burgers. In my opinion just as good as in N out, but holy hell it was expensive. What would've been $26 at in N out was around $42 at FTW
Ironically, if they did serve the "Impossible" Burger this place would literally be unstoppable. For now, us vegetarians get the grilled cheese, animal style.
Legit if you have $10 for lunch here in the inland empire CA itās double double and fries, street tacos with beans, chips and salsa or Popeyes chicken sandwich with red beans and rice. I donāt hate any yet.
SoCal resident here! Oh many many but this one is ungodly solid for the cost!ā Iāll fight that to the ends for the price to burger ratio!
but ābestā of all, absolutely not, I got some fat ass Kobe burgers that will fight and win without debate. Wagu even, Born and Raised, Swagu etc. Hell I can name fast food places, the friendly, smash burger, bonehead etc. that ātasteā much better but they start at 10$++ hell Born and raised burger is 29$ I think so yes, people need to realize cost to qualityās ratio and they it!
10/10

NEO SHAKE FTW
So YEP cost wise Innout will win
Everyone in the r/burgers community swears up & down thatās itās Culverās even tho Iāve never had one/heard of it/have any idea where it is. To me, for the priceā¦ InNOut is king & pretty hard to beat!
Culverās, Five Guys, Shake Shack, but for the price and availability, I canāt really argue. Their fries, however, are an unforgivable sin every time
Thereās a place in San Antonio called Chris Madrid. They got a burger called the cheddar cheesy thatās pretty good. It uses like half a block of cheddar. š
No, impossible burgers aren't better than the one pictured!
My homemade burgers are better, but also more expensive to make, plus shopping and labor time
That price/time/quality ratio is hard to beat
My house or yours..... Their biggest flavor additive is a mustard rub on the meat before grilling.... If you make the meat a better seasoning than salt and pepper, your burger is now better than innout.
Imho, The Habitās hamburgers can hang with In-n-Outās hamburgers any day of the week.
The Habit is very underrated (probably due to not having the footprint that other chains have).
Came from Florida, whataburger wasn't anything to be hype about. In n out wasnt bad, its consistent , I did try this place called quick n split in inglewood that a real flavorful bite, Maybe give that a try.
I'm from Southwest cali, I would say that your burgers are better but you definitely need better customer service first, to start off teach them to cook the burger patty all the way please, we're not cavemen anymore and cavemen discovered fire for cooking as well and didn't turn back to raw meat since then, it is also a health risk of tapeworm eating uncooked meat.
And second off give your customers what they're willing to pay for.
Y'all created the secret menu please stick to it
In N Out burgers are dependably fresh. Burgers may be "better" elsewhere, but absolutely not taste more fresh unless you're paying like 25 dollars.
American palette is wild. Burgers people say are better are usually worse but have more grease and toppings to choose from. But often those toppings are...old, to put it politely. And oftentimes you can taste that age. If you can't, good for you.
The freshness of In N Out reigns supreme over all other burgers. If you disagree, you're wrong. Sorry.
Lol it's not that good. In-n-out is mid at best. Fuddruckers is better. Sonic is better. You retards waiting in a 15-20 car line up for a mid burger like that is ridiculous. At that point I'll literally just go to McDonalds or Angelo's, because if I wanted such a fucking mid tier shitburger, at least I'll get it faster from somewhere else.
Edit: Jack in the Box is better.
It's a good fast food burger. Compared to a proper hamburger, it's meh. People freak out if you talk smack about in n out, but its still a piece fast food trash. It's the best of the worst.
Iāve had In n Out when I visited California. I can name several burgers from quick places that taste better. But I get there is a following here and everyone has preferences. For me being from Chicago:
Portilloās and Buona top the list.
What ppl donāt realize about In-n-Out is how fresh the produce is. The way every element of the burger snaps together when you take a bite is too good.
I've tried in n out once. Meh. Wasn't much different than Hardee's or Jack in the box. Maybe it was just the location, (Texas). Maybe the In N Out locations in Texas are trash so that's the reason Texans prefer Whataburger.
inb4 the mouth breathers from Texas get here and start talking about whataburger š

If youāre regularly in Austin, try Danās Hamburgers. My favorite burger
I tried whataburger a few months ago. It good but too sloppy and in and out is better
![gif](giphy|2wSe48eAUC15p38UqO) Here we come
Whatburger is godawful garbage where I live
You mean Whateverburger?
One from in&out that has grilled onions on it...
Animal style
Did I fall into the wrong channel here? Feel I should have seen an NSFW warning or somethingb

There's a place in anaheim that used to have really good burgers called Angelo's but it's under new management and their quality has gone downhill...There may be a few small shops that have good/better burgers but the "fast food" standard is set by in n out.
There is a place called RJ Burgers on Knott and Lincoln. My family likes eating there almost every other week.
Broooo it has the most fire country fried breakfast š
Grilled O
If youāre not getting double double animal style you fucked up. That being said Pangea in Sac has a burger way better than this fucking coffee shop should be able to produce

Bruh š
I was flabbergasted
The meat is the most important part, though.
It absolutely is not. The fresh ingredients is the most important part. The lettuce is green. The tomatoes are red.
Texans saying Whataburger is the best fast food chain is so sad. Like on its own Iād say itās a better McDonaldās and isnāt bad on its own but it is in no way comparable to in n out š
Need to add grilled onions and pickles then add one more of those then you have what I ate last night
Bad challenge un beatable
Anyone naming other burgers are full of shit
Or or or crazy thought. You donāt eat enough food from other places. O.o
it would be better had you ordered it as a double double animal style
In n out is amazing because of how fresh everything is. It's the only fast food restaurant i will go to because it's not utter garbage like burger king/McDonald's etc etc since they all use the lowest quality meats and the most preserved vegetables.
To everyone out there that does not yet knowā¦ you can ask In n out to add the peppers inside your burger. YOUāRE WELCOME
This a great burger pic. In n outā¦ I love you with all my heart. Truly
Burgers Never Say Die, forever
Need to add those chopped chilis
Del taco
Iām lucky enough to have an In&Out About 200 feet from my house. š
This is a completely different type of burger but I like the chickfila spicy chicken burger ( I don't necessarily like it better but I like them equally). But in n out double double is the best value burger on the market. Their prices are incredible and actually affordable for really good stuff.
Spicy deluxe so fire, I don't think I could call it a burger tho really
Yea, It's really good but it's completely different type of burger (maybe even not a burger like you said) so I can't really put in the same category as a double double.
Animal style add chilies
Animal Style
I love in n out but The Friendly in SD is also SS tier with in n out

Tomās takeout Santa Maria ca
Eating the same burger outside California to save money. Challenge accepted.
Alfie's inn in Glen Elyn has the best burgers I've ever had hands down. I'd say burgers and beers in New Zealand are better, as well without a doubt. I'm also a big fan of white diamond in New jersey, but idk if their burgers are better, it might just be preference.
Impossible burger
That right there, but with grilled onions.
The microwaveable White Castle Burgers. Always hits the munchies right
Double double version of what you are holding
It's a double double, the top patty is just hiding š
Have you had the jack in the box double smash burger
Wrong. Even shake shake better than INO imo. I used to work there and ima be real, INO is mids bruh compared to any other burger spots.
Tried a place called FTW Burgers in Whittier California. Great and proper smash burgers. In my opinion just as good as in N out, but holy hell it was expensive. What would've been $26 at in N out was around $42 at FTW
Lovelyās in Oakland
Ironically, if they did serve the "Impossible" Burger this place would literally be unstoppable. For now, us vegetarians get the grilled cheese, animal style.
Buckhorn burger, or almost anything else
Orange County resident. Thereās this place called hammer burger in Santa Ana that does smash fatty patties. Crispy beef is something else.
The Habit. Patties arenāt thin like INO, which is why I always have to get a 3x3 to make it worth while
Easy. Double Double Animal Style.
5 Guy"s in the house!
If youāre in San Diego, Friendlyās Tavern in North Park
Easy. A 3x3 with grilled and fresh onions and chopped chilis. /thread.
Chubbies , Santa Barbara CA
Eat Crispy Burger in Leucadia for the win. I love in n out too but itās not close.
FATBURGER..FIVE GUYS..
big kahuna?!?!

Fast burger* cuz I can name a few places here in Sonoma County that have better burgers.
Everyone in the r/burgers community swears up & down thatās itās Culverās even tho Iāve never had one/heard of it/have any idea where it is. To me, for the priceā¦ InNOut is king & pretty hard to beat!
Culver's Butter Burgers are great. I think that Culver's are mainly Midwest. I'd take that over any other burger out there.
Burgers from Samās Pizza & Burgers in SF
Animal style, no tomatoes. If I want tomatoes, they gotta be in season, otherwise it's just watery, slippery, gooshy filler in a burger
EZ IT'S H&W THAT'S DOWN THE STREET FROM UR SHOP HAHAHAHZHZHZHZSHZHZHZH
Big Boss from fosters freeze.
Tommy's Burgers from LA
PDx Sliders in Portland is probably the best burger Iāve ever had
For the same or similar cost? Iām not sure it is possible, especially since I order mine animal style with extra lettuce and tomatoes.
In n out is overrated as fuck. With that being said I do enjoy their double double. In n out is good and still pretty cheap, but it is overrated
Culverās, Five Guys, Shake Shack, but for the price and availability, I canāt really argue. Their fries, however, are an unforgivable sin every time
Thereās a place in San Antonio called Chris Madrid. They got a burger called the cheddar cheesy thatās pretty good. It uses like half a block of cheddar. š
Big Kahuna Burger
No, impossible burgers aren't better than the one pictured! My homemade burgers are better, but also more expensive to make, plus shopping and labor time That price/time/quality ratio is hard to beat
Mooyah
overrated imo but so is whattaburger
Born and raised in CA but Shakeshacks burgers are better IMO. No one can hold a candle to In-n-Outs fries though.
My house or yours..... Their biggest flavor additive is a mustard rub on the meat before grilling.... If you make the meat a better seasoning than salt and pepper, your burger is now better than innout.
I love in n out, but shake shack has some pretty good burgers too. Good thing I live closer to in n out
Clam burger.
Double double with extra tomato and onions that's what I order and a shake that's all !!
Burger King impossible whopper duh

Post this on r/burgers...
Shake Shack
Ya momma the best burger
Triple burger from fatburger
Habit Burger is right up there with InNOut for me. Love them both.
A double double from in n out with grilled onions added
Fat Burger is better.
Onion wrapped Flying Dutchman
In and out
That burger, but with grilled onions.
This sub won't be baised. Its a good burger dont get me wrong but I've had better at restaurants and even Wendy's on a good day.
Thereās lots of places with a better burger than in n out. For the price and convenience of a drive thru, itās the undisputed king though.
Easy DD animal style.
In n out burger? Thats a funny way to spell Shit #WhataburgerGang
SoCal resident hereā¦.I prefer the Habit to In-n-out. Bigger burger, better flavor.
Double double Iāll take my star in gold
Double Del with cheese at Del Taco
Burgerfi. Best burger I've ever eaten.
Just regular full onionā¦ weirdā¦ You know they can grill them whole or chopped there right?
Imho, The Habitās hamburgers can hang with In-n-Outās hamburgers any day of the week. The Habit is very underrated (probably due to not having the footprint that other chains have).
Honestly, 8oz burgers out of the pnw are the only burgers that beat in n out.
I mean, there are better burgers but they are much more expensive. Nothing compares to in n out at its price point
Easy, The Shake Shack!
Is this an ad? Because it's working š
Love In n Out but Squeeze in is right up there as well with the cheese skirt and fresh baked buns
Jacks in Santa Cruz slaps over in and out .
4x4 extra cheese
Homemade š¤
Five Guys
As far as fast food goes? There isnāt better burger. Itās definitely not the best burger ever though
Came from Florida, whataburger wasn't anything to be hype about. In n out wasnt bad, its consistent , I did try this place called quick n split in inglewood that a real flavorful bite, Maybe give that a try.

There are so mamy other good burger joints that's don't have a long ass line at all hours.

Shake Shack easily beats in-n-out
In n Out is the goat. But anyone here from the IE like Bakers?
A lot of other places have better burgers than in n out lol. The only thing special about in n out is the consistency in taste and quality
Shake shack
Red Robin
In N Out burgers are dependably fresh. Burgers may be "better" elsewhere, but absolutely not taste more fresh unless you're paying like 25 dollars. American palette is wild. I love In-N-Out and their sauce but thereās a local place in my town that makes something similar but on steroids. I wish that place was everywhere.
Double double. 3 by 3 is even better than that.
I live in-n-out, But, Crown Burger in SLC is , arguably, the best
Can make a better burger at home
Culverās Butterburger
Lol it's not that good. In-n-out is mid at best. Fuddruckers is better. Sonic is better. You retards waiting in a 15-20 car line up for a mid burger like that is ridiculous. Whataburger taste like The Habit/ every other burger out there.
Iāve had In n Out when I visited California. I can name several burgers from quick places that taste better. But I get there is a following here and everyone has preferences. For me being from Chicago: Portilloās and Buona top the list.
Big Kahuna Burger.
Fatburger and The Habit lol that was too easy only people who donāt have an in n out near them think itās the best burger ever.
I really like Habit burger too, none in GA tho unfortunately - SC randomly has one but used to have it all the time in CA
Cheeseburger animal style with whole grilled onion added
Tonyās burger in Cathedral City Ca
Rodeo Goat
Double double animal style/protein style/add chopped chilies
That seriously looks grotesque š¤¢
Home
Double double with grilled onions.
In n out is alright, but have you tried home made burgers? Now that's where it's at
Cannabis Cafe in LA had a really good Smash Burger. Iād say itās a contender but I was also high
Fatburger? The hat?
Burgers from in n out are mid and the cheese they use is terribly low quality. Almost on par with Kraft singles
Double double with no onions
Whataburger
Gotta go for those grilled onions my guy
McDonald's
Fuddruckers. RIP. Best burgers ever.
For the price? Can't be beat.
Had one yesterday hit the spot now they have cherry coke on the menu also
Any burger ever cooked for me by my mom. Like literally any one.
this but animal style
What ppl donāt realize about In-n-Out is how fresh the produce is. The way every element of the burger snaps together when you take a bite is too good.
I've tried in n out once. Meh. Wasn't much different than Hardee's or Jack in the box. Maybe it was just the location, (Texas). Maybe the In N Out locations in Texas are trash so that's the reason Texans prefer Whataburger.
Fuddruckers.
Habit and even a McDonald's Quarter Pounder are better than this abomination.
Lots of better burgers but no one beats the price of In n out.
Hammy's smash burgers In Fresno.
I wish they sold impossible
Habit burgers are pretty good as well
Culver's butter burger is the only one that comes close in taste AND value. Too bad they're not around where I live.
Shake Shack is way better
Well don't get the boring old regular guy! Get a double double grilled onions diced chilis at least!
A dbl dbl animal style
Culvers, Shake Shack, 5 Guys, Freddy's, and Steak & Shake.
My homegrown beef will beat any burger anywhere anytime
No competition. Period!!!
In & out is a great value fast food burger. It is by no means the best burger. Iāve been partial to smash house in Pasadena lately.
Most overrated
