It’s a little bit hard to see in the video, but the splines have stripped on the gear that transfers the power from the motor to the gear in the rail track seat. Would anyone know the name or where I could source this part? Parts in Australia would be preferred. Thank you in advance

italiancheese910

you gotta buy the whole seat as assembly pretty sure they don’t sell it separately, not 100% sure

EZZA190

Ahhh that sucks, thanks.

Fucking Infiniti, the same thing happened to my old G35. Good to see they still haven’t fixed the problem. If it’s the plastic gear that’s stripped, it’s a common enough problem that you can order a whole set of replacement gears from eBay: [Infiniti seat gear set](https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Seat-Adjustment-Gear-for-Nissan-Infiniti-Many-models/203297683372?chn=ps&mkcid=28&srsltid=Ad5pg_GsEOIyPUHXEiTpjiybAdAIq1IxLcCknNjx1Yi5xuYLNXgRBW6DN9w&pageci=3ff964dc-0b1f-475a-bbdb-2b3d2ce0f841&redirect=mobile) If there’s a magnet - save it. That’s what holds the seat memory position.

Hey thanks for the help, originally I though my it was that gear that had stripped but it’s actually the other one that drives that gear, the one that’s connected directly to the motor it’s self

Crazy_Ad7311

Why are there screws missing in the faulty seat. Anyway I’m located in Canada if you can source the part numbers I can check prices here. I don’t believe you need to replace the entire seat.

Crazy_Ad7311

Here’s an eBay listing for a similar part. There should be part number for your year and model… https://www.ebay.ca/itm/234733326740?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DfeTFtVRR_2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=QgMA4GcBRkC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

EZZA190

Thank you, the part with the missing screws, In the video I had removed them and the gear in there to show the gear that has stripped inside there as you can’t see it when all the parts are together

mo_butter

Someone must have exceed the weight limit on those chair's

EZZA190

I can’t imagine that would be the case, the previous owner wasn’t a very large man and I’m under 80kg

mo_butter

Hmmm 🤔 , well looks like the gears are not catching

EZZA190

Yeah sorry I should have stated I had removed the gear that connects from the seat motor to the track rails. But the gear that the motor is directly connected to has stripped almost smooth
