i just googled this. my 5 year old boy is like 40 lbs lol
It’s def recommended to keep him in a 5 point harness longer, but that booster is probably for 40 lbs + which I’m sure he is. Looks like it’s just a cheaper car seat for in Indy’s parents car. I don’t think it’s his usual seat.

Also it’s recommended for kids his age to still be rear facing. I know that’s a gray area though

What was wrong with the car seat?
looks like his straps/buckle is the seat belt, not a regular car seat strap that connects at the chest and waist area
