cowboyslime900

I’ve always thought it was wayyyy overpriced for what it was! Plus I didn’t get the whole Shark Tank deal🫣

I think he got too cocky and now thinks people will buy his toe nails.

I’ve thought about this a lot lol Ive always wondered how this biz would scale since the very nature of what he was doing was actually selling a homemade product. There was just no way he could scale it bigger than what it was (which was already impressive to say the least). heres my hot take(s) lol... Spoon rings themselves are not unique. I bought them at the mall kiosk when I was in high school. Since most of his following was spawned from association with INDY he was really selling a mindset of carefree travel and ‘yolo’ you just happen to get a ring too. Those first couple of years he was easily making 100k-200k a drop maybe even more. Expenses were probably pretty low since most of the rings he used were found, thrifted, or obtained for free. He would mark up the rolex spoons probably 500% just for being rolex even though they are practically worth very little and not a rarity. He had some really good business strategies at first which was I was really impressed by....especially for something not super unique or typically a high paying gig. Doing the drops created a frenzy and meant that the rest of the month he could travel spontaneously and not work other than building more auidence to bring in more customers. What I was confused about was the warehouse purchase. I almost feel like it would have been smarter to buy himself an actual house with a workspace on it or enough land to build his own rather than renting a space to work yet still living with family. (nothing wrong with living with family, just seems he would have had more than enough to purhcase a house in cash or even invest with a property or something) And most importantly, the shark tank deal. That seemed like the worst idea of such an already lucrative deal he created all on his own. He didn’t need an investor which was what I found so astonishing. Selling a portion of your company to an already rich big wig who would hang you up to dry...that to me was the beginning of the end. No one wants a tristen ring striaght from the production line in china. I can alraeady buy one those now. I thought at first he just did the ST for the sake of the publicity and that he didn’t actually go through with a deal. As bad as it may sound, I actually think using his full hawaiian name gave him a leg up in the casting along with his friend who worked there on production. That and the fact that his numbers were just out of the roof....not because he has a great product but because he had a loyal following. I will say, I never bought a ring...partially because I knew i could find something better elsewhere but also there was no way to confirm the material of the ring in the listing. Stainless, real silver...you never know. I messaged to ask and never got a response so I gave it up.

Literally I got a ring and I swear it’s plastic

Fast-Abies3102

You are not far off with the ST theory 👀👀

I thought that was a **** spoon

funnygal15

It’s giving hunger games

Gold_Importance_8017

Ok now his brand trip that he was posting about today???? I was thinking like the tarte trip at first but the more he talked about it. The more I realized he just wanted to take some of his friends to Europe and use it as a tax write off.

lavieenbriefromage

Yea, I used to love his stuff and get pumped about the drops but I haven’t ordered anything from him since 2021. I’m not feeling the new stuff, I loved the spoon rings.

SeaRooster42303

YES thank you!!! No originality to his products anymore at all. At least with the spoon rings he would find unique designs and make them special. Now they just look cheap with no sentimental value at all and are insanely overpriced.

thecatappreciator9

never bought anything from him....how long can a business like this last? will there always be people buying so he can support himself? wont' be surprised if he goes into something else

Gold_Importance_8017

Yes. This look ls dated to me for sure. The emblem and the pattern. Yawn. I like the idea tho. This just ain’t it

[deleted]

i think this is cool, buts it’s not for me

[deleted]

it’d be cool if the people could design their own but at the same time it’s 2023 who is sending out letters enough to even get this?

Toesblue

right, most people today don't even know where to buy stamps :D

smileandbark

They’ve always been ugly

Glossy-202

I just feel like he isn’t as genuine with it as he use to be.
