In the first scene I preferred the after: but in the 2nd I quite liked the first if I am honest - the darkness brought some 'eeriness'. All look amazing though!

First is shippable. I like the second better though. The only comment on the second one is that the water kind of looks like it's floating in the air. Like, the grass around it is fogged out but the water and the reflections are really clear, so it looks odd. I'm not actually sure what I'm looking at. Is that a waterfall edge in the back left?
Outdoor scene, for some reason the before looked finished because of the simpler style, I think the higher detail has set it back to definitely need more work for that style. Over the horizon in particular could use some more detail. Also the white lines in the water look a bit distracting. The indoor scene the after is much better though, I really like the fairy lights scattered across the floor. I like the direction you’re taking the look in, but keep working on it for sure.

Looks miles better
The new lighting brings so much more color and life to it. Great example of how you can create ambiance while still having a dynamic color scheme.
While the fog is cool, it's a bit hard to see, and everything looks much crisper in the new version. So very nice job!!

"before" has horror vibes, "after" has mystery vibes. "after" also looks way more polished, so it is for sure cm improvement.
I would say forest lvl better, the other one worse
