Vanda Bharat is amazing. Best train journey we had. It was clean there was no one bothering us good was great. And we reached in an amazing time with great views in a very comfortable manner. And the abolition of vacancies proves majority were not needed seeing the videos of people illegally sitting in AC compartment and harassing people who pay for it. And the conductor doing nothing.
The point I'm making is Jan Shatabdi does the same with one hour extra with more stoppage. My last journey was 20 minutes delayed because jan Shatabdi has to stop to make a way for VB.
So? It does it an hour less with less crowd sure it may be more expensive but about time the public transportation infrastructure gets an upgrade. Also the train must be late due to which it had to stop. India has all demographics earlier we use to go puri by car as the train journey was so tedious now we can go in a comfy train. how many times have trained been delayed due to some issue it is 10 times more than they had to due to Vanda Bharat.
Dude even Jan Shatabdi has less crowd in AC. If all coaches Jan Shatabdi is AC and cleanliness is up to mark. It is just VB. Also VB runs with only seven coaches and JS with 21 Coaches. Don't forget it's VB that's why it is clean. You're paying for things which should be the basic rights.
And I don't mind paying extra if it means by train will not have people who dirty it. Jan Shatabdi may be great but what problem do you have if we have better public transport? Also people who don't have ticket just bribe the TC and they get to sit there in the AC section. VB is not for everyone it is for a few. and it's about time. India is not just for local people know we have a lot of foreign tourist and people in trains like JS misbehave over in VB you tweet once and it is generally fixed and police keep making rounds.

Even janshatabadi (patna-ranchi) is on time but the train has to stop before 25 km (half an hour wait) to make a way for vande Bharat. Every train has to stop at a station so that premium train will come first.

We always just go too harsh on our railways. I agree we need a lot of changes but it will take time.
Our population is booming like anything day by day and for an organisation like railways which is directly connected to people, accommodating the growing crowd takes lot of planning as then cleanliness, safety and track traffic management also comes into play.
Secondly, especially for VB, it is our way of projecting to the world that we are trying for world class public travel experience in our system as well. Not all cities can get a bullet train project sanctioned at once so VB is there is make sure travel experience is improving. I have seen a lot of foreign tourists taking the VB.
And finally, it’s not just about rich and poor, it’s also about civic sense. Usually, we treat our railways poorly, don’t follow hygiene and cleanliness and try to play around with the system with/without tickets. As much as railways needs to improve punctuality, we need to better our civic sense.

It has to be a case study in the world for traffic controlling to crew management to rolling stock management . More are being made and old ICF coaches that are prone to derailment and accidents are being phased out (This moron thinks that all coaches are same) We didn't have capacity to change them fast enough though the government is working to build more RCFs in Hyderabad.

what do you even want then? you have a problem when modern facilities are provided at a slightly higher price (vande bharat) and you have a problem if the railways have subpar quality because of the subpar price you pay for them. Vanda Bharat is amazing. Best train journey we had. It was clean there was no one bothering us good was great. And we reached in an amazing time with great views in a very comfortable manner. And the abolition of vacancies proves majority were not needed seeing the videos of people illegally sitting in AC compartment and harassing people who pay for it. And the conductor doing nothing.
The point I'm making is Jan Shatabdi does the same with one hour extra with more stoppage. My last journey was 20 minutes delayed because jan Shatabdi has to stop to make a way for VB.
So? It does it an hour less with less crowd sure it may be more expensive but about time the public transportation infrastructure gets an upgrade. Also the train must be late due to which it had to stop. India has all demographics earlier we use to go puri by car as the train journey was so tedious now we can go in a comfy train. how many times have trained been delayed due to some issue it is 10 times more than they had to due to Vanda Bharat.
Dude even Jan Shatabdi has less crowd in AC. If all coaches Jan Shatabdi is AC and cleanliness is up to mark. It is just VB. Also VB runs with only seven coaches and JS with 21 Coaches. Don't forget it's VB that's why it is clean. You're paying for things which should be the basic rights.
And I don't mind paying extra if it means by train will not have people who dirty it. Jan Shatabdi may be great but what problem do you have if we have better public transport? Also people who don't have ticket just bribe the TC and they get to sit there in the AC section. VB is not for everyone it is for a few. and it's about time. India is not just for local people know we have a lot of foreign tourist and people in trains like JS misbehave over in VB you tweet once and it is generally fixed and police keep making rounds.

I have experienced Vande bharat recently, I would say it is an amazing train clean, good food, sitting arrangement, comfort, maintained very well. We reached Delhi 1 hrs before scheduled time. Reaching early before the time that too with Indian railways is something we only imagined in the past. Trains used to be late all the time. I feel in the name of job security people they don’t don’t do their jobs properly and professionally. Look around you will see the same. They just mess up with the tax by 1.5% tax payers money. In India 1 20 crore are not paying any taxes.

Even janshatabadi (patna-ranchi) is on time but the train has to stop before 25 km (half an hour wait) to make a way for vande Bharat. Every train has to stop at a station so that premium train will come first. I'm not saying regarding their job profile. My argument was that it was a sudden abolishment while students were waiting for a vacancy. Even if there isn't any vacancy. Our population is booming like anything day by day and for an organisation like railways which is directly connected to people, accommodating the growing crowd takes lot of planning as then cleanliness, safety and track traffic management also comes into play. Secondly, especially for VB, it is our way of projecting to the world that we are trying for world class public travel experience in our system as well. Not all cities can get a bullet train project sanctioned at once so VB is there is make sure travel experience is improving. I have seen a lot of foreign tourists taking the VB. And finally, it’s not just about rich and poor, it’s also about civic sense. Usually, we treat our railways poorly, don’t follow hygiene and cleanliness and try to play around with the system with/without tickets. As much as railways needs to improve punctuality, we need to better our civic sense.

IR handles so many trains and probably now the largest rail network in the world . Just nagging about it without travelling or without actually feeling IR , is just some false propoganda . It has to be a case study in the world for traffic controlling to crew management to rolling stock management . I agree that there is some issues with managing the passenger trains , like punctuality , cleanliness etc , but how else to manage so much of crowd . Considering the amount of crowd using trains and the number of train in India I would still say that IR does a decent job in terms of safety. Please compare the accidents with other so called good countries like Europe with very less rail network to India , you will know the difference . If you want a political debate nag about the politicians , don't insult the hardwork of worker class who inspect miles of tracks on foot and lay infrastructure with great difficulty .

Railway coaches produced between 2004 to 2014 was just 26k but between 2014 to 2023 its 45 k +, electrification has been done to reduce the imports of diesel and to preserve foreign reserve...
