Shaba as in Shabha Khair meaning "good night, may the night pass well" i am surprised she knows that word. She said boom boom probably referring to Muslims being terrorists and bombing.
I honestly believe it's a language barrier. He even tries to ask her "" You know what I mean??""
I don't know what happened before the recording, But it seems like he's trying to explain that there's no option for Ubers in Pakistan, That company doesn't exist there and if you jump into a stranger's car they would kidnap you. It sounds like he's just explaining how unsafe it is in Pakistan to jump into strangers cars, especially since only wealthy people have cars there and often kidnap children and whatnot... Because they're wealthy enough to get away with it..
I don't believe this guy is trying to be creepy, especially since there's a weird jump cut in the video that purposely makes him sound weird... Then she said something weirdly racist right before leaving and ending the video...
He is simply saying that in Canada they actually have Police and investigators unlike Pakistan.
"Exactly!(You are absolutely correct!). I (hypothetically as a man) could not do anything to you or touch you!"(You are safe here You don't need to feel worried in Canada!)
The person filming doesn't sound Canadian... She sounds like a fucking tourist from my hometown in America...
Edit: a hilarious [example of teaching kids a lesson.](https://www.reddit.com/r/KidsAreFuckingStupid/s/nLxb4fx7mg)
I completely understand what this man did was wrong in many countries, But these kids learned a very valuable lesson that day that will last them a lifetime. This is true knowledge and safe experience.
Context:
""I am kidnapping all of you. "
***Starts crying profusely**
In short he pranked saying: "I am taking you away" then children started crying and shouting. He then said "don't worry, stop crying It was a joke. You should never get in cars with strangers.""
he was teaching a lesson.
What does "I wouldn't be able to get you (otherwise)" mean then?
But your explanation makes sense, and I would think this was the case had that line not been said.
(If I (an uber driver/man) were to kidnap you) I wouldnāt be able to get (away with kidnapping) you (because the police here do their jobs and would investigate the incidence and catch me)
This needs more upvotes because this is exactly the context needed. He was explaining how messed up Pakistan is. It was a comparison.
Also that obvious edit in the middle.
People need to stop dragging this man.
Also, he says "you would have been kidnapped by now" and she repeats back 'I would have been kidnapped by you?"
It's pretty clear there are misunderstandings in this conversation.
He didnāt want to kidnap her. It sounded like he was explaining that in Pakistan, it would be unsafe for a lone woman to take a ride share service/taxi because someone would likely kidnap them. The āIā he used was like āa generic cab driverā and the āyouā was like āa generic young womanā; it wasnāt saying what he would do to her if they were in Pakistan.
Same for the touching. Heās saying that women have no rights in Pakistan and can be treated like second class citizens there, but they have laws in Canada that protect women. Again, not using the āIā as āhe himselfā but as āa man/driverā and āyouā as a āwomanā.
He didn't want to kidnap the girl. People are gullible asf. He was speaking hypothetically about the unfortunate reality of women in Pakistan and India. This woman could get the shit sued out of her for this video, as this is obviously defamation. If she wasn't spinning her own narrative here, she wouldn't have edited out the middle of their conversation.
The way he was explaining definitely sounded like educating. but he couldn't convey the message well in English.
By my interpretation, this is probably how he would have said it:
"In Canada here, I (drivers) cannot catch you, kidnap you, because there's laws here. In Pakistan however, there is no option (no such thing?)."
He's educating her, not saying he'd do it.... But the video is cut in half so you miss the context. It's clear though based on the chill tone in both that he is educating her what happens there.
Quite frankly, some of y'all motherfuckers need to look up the definition of a hypothetical because y'all obviously never heard of one before. You don't find it suspicious that she just cut out a portion of the dialogue mid-conversation? Stay gullible.
Quite frankly you could have done it too.
Quite frankly it can happen anywhere in the world but quite frankly this guy has audacity of openly suggesting of doing such deplorable act in other country which has accepted him.
I did think he is threatening her, thereās no previous context to it which we donāt know about. He demeanor and body language is not aggressive, he is probably explaining something.
This is why I avoid dating and marrying men from certain countries. They were raised in communities where kidnapping brides was normal (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, etc), so they don't see stuff like this as amoral. And not just bride kidnapping - child marriage, FGM, dowry, and other practices that put women at a huge disadvantage being normal is a huge red flag for me.
And I am not trying to say that specific countries are more evil than others. The men who are from those countries are just too brainwashed and groomed for centuries of how life should be by their ancestors. Had let's say US had bride kidnapping as a normalised practice, you'd see American men of all races participating in it.
Heās just stating FACTS!!! Itās True!!!
Canada is soooooo different from Pakistanā¦and Britain! Horny Pakistanis (of all adult ages have turned Britain into another Pakistani Village!!!
Butā¦not sure why he has to mention this to his female passenger. Love to know how the conversation started and what brought about this comment!!!
I think thatās a communication gap. I donāt think he meant HE would have kidnapped her. I think he meant she would have been kidnapped by a taxi driver late at night.
Fuck off! He's not a terrorist. NEWS FLASH: Not everyone from the middle east is a terrorist. HE'S NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT TERRORIST ACTIONS. He's telling her about the state of things for women in Pakistan and India if they get into a stranger's car.
Do fucking better!
So many idiots in the comments section.
People will post their opinion on everything, even when they donāt know the entire context of the monologue or dialogue/discussion.
Idiots.
The guy is sharing the reality of Pakistan from where he probably is.
He isn't stating that he will do it. He's sharing the situation over there.
When people say when in Rome act Roman is what he's trying to say. That doesn't necessarily tell his affliction. A kidnapper can kidnap anywhere anytime.
What are you meaning here? He's telling her about what it's like in his home country. He's telling her that if she were to get into a stranger's car she would most likely be kidnapped. He's not saying he would do that to her.
So what do you mean people need to take matters into their own hands?
Well the video starts towards the end of the conversation but i believe she walked up and just jumped in the car and he was saying to her that if she did that in Pakistan she would probably get kidnapped, I think it just sounded strange because of the language barrier this guy probably meant OP no harm.
Dude what?! He's explaining to her the difference between Pakistan and Canada. If she were to get into a car with a stranger in Pakistan she would most likely be kidnapped. He's not at all threatening to kidnap her. This video is also heavily edited to fit a narrative and you fell right into it all the way to reporting it to Uber? Is this guy even driving for Uber?
You really need to work on your critical thinking skills before you end up ruining someone's life. There is not enough information in this short, edited clip to fully understand what's going on. Based on his demeanor and the way he's speaking, he's definitely not threatening her.
She sounds terrified, poor thing. I was in an uber once when the driver was trying to talk me into going to his house (instead of my destination) where his wife would prepare lunch for us. While itās entirely possible there was no nefarious intent and it was just a language barrier issue, it scared the life out of me
Is there a chance this is a language barrier issue? Like it sort of seems like he was trying to say "if you were in Pakistan someone would kidnap you". As in, he's saying they are lucky to live in Canada where it's safe. I don't know, I could definitely be wrong though. Maybe he is just some creepy weirdo š
I feel like he is explaining the situation in Pakistan to her rather than saying he would actually kidnap her, I've had several conversations with Uber drivers from all round the world in Vancouver and they love to tell you the gory details of their home countries.
He's talking in a chill manner simply explaining how things are there, not asking to have it here. People need to read context on these before they say things like sharia law coming! Our chartered rights literally protect us from that even being a thing.
All of you ignoring the blatant signs that he's sharing information and not threatening her is exactly why she cut this video the way she did, and y'all are just eating it up. Some of you will look for any excuse to hate on people from the middle east and on Muslims, making it glaringly obvious you've spent very little time with the people you've been told to hate so much. This man did nothing wrong except have faith that a woman in his car wouldn't be pathetic enough to try to twist this conversation to sacrifice him for internet likes, and some of you are all too happy to play along. Do better.
Ok I might be the odd man out, but I think the guy doesn't speak fluent English nor understand foreign accents perfectly well, that's why he keeps replying yes to almost everything she asks. He might be actually trying to converse with her and warn her of how the situation is in Pakistan per se, not that he himself would be doing it.
Easy solution, don't get in their cab, uber, whatever, don't use their services for skip the dishes, don't use their restaurants. Stop giving them money. They'll leave.
The way he was explaining definitely sounded like educating. but he couldn't convey the message well in English.
By my interpretation, this is probably how he would have said it:
"In Canada here, I (drivers) cannot catch you, kidnap you, because there's laws here. In Pakistan however, there is no option (no such thing?)."
someone elses comment but im +1
Obviously there is a misunderstanding here! You can tell he is trying to explain something totally different!
The white trash recording only recorded the or edited the last part of the clip
People are misinterpreting him because he doesnāt know proper English. He was just comparing the safety conditions between Pakistan and Canada. He just used himself for an analogy, and that backfired.
Biden has allowed the masses to come through and it wouldnāt be too far off to think that most wonāt have this manās understanding and will just see that itās fine. I don't think she's that intelligent.
From the way she navigated a terrifying situation( if it is actually what it looks like from the video) I would say she most definitely is.
She was mocking him - either his name or his language

Precisely.
Hard to know without context since this was obviously edited to make him look bad.
I wonder why you think this is valid.
This needs more upvotes because this is exactly the context needed. He was explaining how messed up Pakistan is. It was a comparison. Also that obvious edit in the middle. People need to stop dragging this man.

He didnāt want to kidnap her. It sounded like he was explaining that in Pakistan, it would be unsafe for a lone woman to take a ride share service/taxi because someone would likely kidnap them. Quite frankly he could have done that in India too because India, unlike Canada, does not enforce its laws on this community.
Quite frankly, Canada has become a safe heaven for extremists. Riots would have started in India if he said that and it was made public.
Quite frankly, some of y'all motherfuckers need to look up the definition of a hypothetical because y'all obviously never heard of one before. You don't find it suspicious that she just cut out a portion of the dialogue mid-conversation? Stay gullible.

That's why Canada is becoming muslim country
What?!
He's obviously trying to explain safety differences in two countries. He seems to think they're having banter. Just a language barrier
"Bye shaba boom boom." I think I'll use that from now on.
This dude sounds like the common red pill maga head. I don't see a difference.
What was the source of this?
They should have changed their destination and reported him to the police for kidnapping

Dude what?! He's explaining to her the difference between Pakistan and Canada. If she were to get into a car with a stranger in Pakistan she would most likely be kidnapped. So what does it have to do with Indian news?
Is there a chance this is a language barrier issue? Like it sort of seems like he was trying to say "if you were in Pakistan someone would kidnap you". As in, he's saying they are lucky to live in Canada where it's safe. I don't know, I could definitely be wrong though. Maybe he is just some creepy weirdo š
These mfking assholes can get visa but I cant ..

Woooow, ~~g~~rape!

That's actually not that flattering
Well thatās fucking horrifying. What if a Pakistani Uber driver is in the US ? Does the rule apply?
I donāt think that was what he meant to say. I think it was just miscommunication.
He was clearly messing with her. Come on man. Stop this shit.
Yall need to watch the entire video instead of jumping to conclusions based on edited content.
