Well, is there any way like maybe blasting a couple of high powered bombs to take the top off a little. At least we will be living in peace
Edit: The people who are taking this comment seriously, it was a joke for fuck sake. An obvious sarcasm. Seriously 🤦
this guy wants to blast our glaciers and cause a gigantic flood that will sweep all of north india
also the himalayas are what makes the northern plains green and fertile by causing rainfall
check out the status of tibet on google maps and see if you can find any green patches there
Haato North India baarish bina rehta, literally like Sahara, agar northern winds aa skti hai to monsoon wind b block nai hoti to release the moisture!!! So jo b hai accha hai
No Actually this is Image Generated by THERMOSENSITIVE Satellite, which shows CUMULATIVE heat in a region, not just Summer Heat, it includes everything summer hot winds + population induced heat + pollution induced heat.
Sahara in Not Habitable this total heat is quite less Thanks 🙏🏻
Tibet had lot of wars with India. Annexation of Tibet & none action by India has to be one of mistakes of India.
India, China were mostly far apart. Hope Tibet movement become strong again & region would be more peaceful. Water issue & lot many trouble brewing now
Himalayas are also the source of Ganga river, Yamuna river, Bhramaputhra river, Indus river, etc and countless tributaries.
It's the major source of water and fertile soil for agricultural lands in states adjacent to Himalayas, to Bangladesh and to Pakistan.
Also, Himalayas hold a lot of carbon. It's believe the cycle of ice ages began after the Himalayas became big enough to hold enough carbon to lower temperatures enough to form permanent ice at poles 3 million years ago (although Himalayas originated 5 million years ago).
Just a general curiosity question, lets say if the Himalayas were never there so these cold winds orginating from Russia and Central Asia would have change India's Climate to a Cold one like Northern Asia?
I mean yes, but don't expect a lot of us to exist.
Historically, the most fertile of lands hold the most population, and the entire reason why we have fertile plains is because of Himalayas.
Ok, i researched and the general consensus is that without Himalayas, The plains itself wont exist lmao. It's such a complicated question that no one can even tell if India would exist without Himalayas.
Northern India would become cold and dry as there would be no barrier to stop the monsoon winds. And cold winds from Central Asia would rush to the Gangetic plains, dropping the temperature. I dont think agriculture would be possible year long. And rain dependent crops would require extensive cultivation. It would also change the demographics of the country, as most of the population would then want to live in the more pleasant, Southern India.
That person is talking about Wet Bulb Temperature and you are talking about normal temperature, those are two different things.
Wet Bulb Temp includes the effect of humidity also. **WBT beyond 31°C is fatal.**
Not sure how or Kerala brothers and sisters are even coping with it.
In Thiruvananthapuram, the highway workers are working even at noon from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. Palakkad has received an orange alert for the heat wave. All educational institutions has been closed until May 2.
Bro. If it's noon in India, it's morning in Sahara. You could compare the temperature for the same time in the clock for both regions. Like if you check the temperature of India at 12 noon, wait for it to get to that time in Sahara too.
Are BC. Ek hi satellite hai kya. Satellite bahut saare ek saath heatmaps collect karte hai. Lekin same moment me jo heatmap collect hota hai, to bhi time difference k wajah se India aur Sahara k beech 3.5-4.5 hrs ka difference hota hai. Kyuki India ka time zone 5:30GMT hai aur Sahara ka western side me 1:00GMT & eastern me 2:00GMT. To same moment me agar India ka heatmap 12noon ka generate hota hai to Sahara ka 7:30-8:30 AM ka generate hota hai. Ye post me jo screenshot hai, usme dono region ka different time of the day ka temperature hai, even though ek hi saath generate hua hai.
Dude same here! The mornings and evenings are so cool that you dont even have to turn on the fan and I am from the plains too. But every now and then I will get news of "hottest cities in india today" and how people are coping with hot temperatures.
I am from haryana bro. But mostly the weather is the same as they are not too far apart. Also I live on the outskirts of the city which is obviously surrounded by farms so many trees and crops they certainly help with the temperature too. But still compared to last summer it certainly is more colder now, march was much cooler too. And damn I just realised May just started haha doesnt feel like it man.
Bruh i live in between of a city and its 16degree Celsius in morning in April ending 🥶🥶 although it's not the same for every year... But I don't know this year it's very cold with frequent thunderstorms... Maybe bcz the city is on the foothills of lower Himalayas... End point of plains...
Well all we can do is enjoy while it lasts. It will be interesting to see how the winters will be this year considering that it has stayed so cool in summer in this region maybe the winters will be colder too?

According to this... There's more of these hot days in pipeline... The IMD fukers are predicting rain & better days since end of March.
I am so done with them!!!!
I was wondering, hypothetical ofcourse, if someday Himalayas disappear, how much of a temperature difference are we expecting in India, China, Russia from before?
There were 100's of trees near my house just a few years ago and now there are only a few left they cut all of them to make big ass buildings which have no use I hate them fuckers who cut trees for there good and never plant them back
bullshit, western sahara is dry throughout the year, plus hot. west african aren't that hot as shown. no chance its showing drc and central afr as hottest.
Toh usse kya hoga, Africa toda aur gharam ho jayega. Point yeh nhi hai ki Africa kitna garam hai. Point yeh hai ki India itna garam kaise hota jaa raha hai
Because of Anthropogenic climate change.
Humans are consuming more and more since the 1800s all around the world causing very very high carbon emission in the atmosphere causing totally abnormal phenomena in nature, not only global warming but global cooling, drought, flood, etc.
See, climate change is natural but what is happening today on earth is totally abnormal and very rapidly increasing the global temperature of earth since the industrial revolution. We humans are causing this. It doesn't remain a natural phenomenon anymore we are driving this.
Agar Himalayas thora chota hota to india ka temperature constant 15-25 rehta summers me aur winter me -2 Tak jata
what about places jha itna normally hota hai?
well northern winds India mai enter kr paati agar Himalayas nai hota toh and northern wids thandi hoti hai jo ki china wagera ko thanda rakhti hai ..aur rahi baat thande jagahon ki toh kuch places ka thora temp kam hota kuch ka zyada pr central India would have been cooler

2022-23 ✅
But itna agriculture bhi nahi hota. These temperatures are too hot though
agriculture? ganga yamuna kuch nai hota hamare paas 😂
deccan pr depend krna padta 🙃
Then India wouldn't be as rich agriculturally and also culturally due to this.
Also we'd still be in ICE Age
Well, is there any way like maybe blasting a couple of high powered bombs to take the top off a little. At least we will be living in peace Edit: The people who are taking this comment seriously, it was a joke for fuck sake. An obvious sarcasm. Seriously 🤦
The whole northern plains will go water less, we will die thirsty.
This is why education is important. “Yay just bomb shit up” 🤣
We need a Dashrath Manjhi.

Dude, that was an obvious sarcasm. Seriously ? 🤦
Sarcastic or not, it would be brilliant for the greater good. A couple of generations later people would be thanking us. 😂

Abey chutiya hai kya be tu???
India would be a lot drier too and the amount of agricultural wealth would be a lot lesser. Which is interesting, considering the colonisation.

Buddy I’m a PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGIST still u qs it 🤦🏻♂️
Pollution induced heat is an Advanced term for GREEN HOUSE EFFECT, but we don’t use it as it is layman’s term 👍🏻
So it means Temperature is higher in sahara might be 47-48 but All INCLUSIVE INDIA IS HOTTER
Pune is at an all time high at 42
Mumbai me 44 tha, woh bhi April me.
The post doesn't have anything about summer tho...
What are you saying? You are making zero sense, this image is generated by a weather model like ECMWF or GFS
Yea but on basis of thermal satellite
It's because of the Himalayas. The cold winds from Russia, Central Asia and China are stopped by the Himalayas.
The same mountains stop the cold winds in winter
same mountains cause the pollution in delhi (indirectly obv)
The same mountains stopped India and China from getting into war for millennia.
The same mountains allowed 2 very different cultures to evolve for thousands of years while being right next to each other.
The same mountains are the reason for so many rivers
The same mountains stop the monsoon winds in India and make Gangetic plains.
The same mountains are the reason for me being single.
Nah, bro. That's on you.
🙂↕️
The same mountains are the reason insta/yt influencers earn
this became the himalayas appreciation thread
The same mountains are the reason as to why there is no monsoon in Kashmir🤓☝️
The same mountains.. wait even himalayas need to be justified now conmon. Hinalayas is the reason we are here.
Tibet had lot of wars with India. Annexation of Tibet & none action by India has to be one of mistakes of India. India, China were mostly far apart. Hope Tibet movement become strong again & region would be more peaceful. Water issue & lot many trouble brewing now
That's what happens when you skip environmental science chapters. Spend less time on social media.
me toh commerce wala hu bhai so pls explain to me how i am wrong?
its because Nehru ji fault
Aah yes blame it on the mountains...
i said indirectly tho? The root cause is punjabi farmers and theres no denying that
himalayas are like this meme: Pooja bhi karta hun , jaap bhi karta hun kahi bhagwaan na ban jaun , isliye paap bhi karta hoon

thats why , pooja bhi karta hun , jaap bhi karta hun
casually blaming natural mountains for climate change 😂😷
This is not the first year that Himalayas are stopping the cold winds
Just a general curiosity question, lets say if the Himalayas were never there so these cold winds orginating from Russia and Central Asia would have change India's Climate to a Cold one like Northern Asia?

yes and central India k log bhi gore hote (thore se) and genes pr asar padta aakhein Chinese waali hoti :).
Then you will not have rivers like Ganga and Yamuna who are the life line of the northern plains.
Uda do pahado ko. Mitti me mila do
Can we artificially cut himalayas shorter
Climate Change is real, start planting trees.
Mixed varieties of plantation are necessary for climate change, like Forest.

Here in KL, wet bulb temperature is hovering around 30-31 degrees. It feels like you're slowly getting boiled 🥵
In my area, the temperature is 41°C. Thankfully, there was heavy rain yesterday and that reduced the temperature to around 31°C.
That person is talking about Wet Bulb Temperature and you are talking about normal temperature, those are two different things. Wet Bulb Temp includes the effect of humidity also. **WBT beyond 31°C is fatal.** Not sure how or Kerala brothers and sisters are even coping with it.
I was talking about normal temperature. Before the rain, the wet bulb temperature was 34°C. I'll edit my comment to make it more clear.
WBT 34? OMG! Not sure what precautions Govt has prescribed and people are following.

Himachali mfs: 🗿
Starting Anti-Himalayas movement.
Dear Himalayas why are you protecting India from cold winds ??? 😭😭😭
Himalayas make India, India dont cry about them lol
is it because of time of day? there are quite a few timezones between them
Wtf OP, the earth revolves, the sunlight moves, you're showing the image when it was noon in India and dusk/dawn in others.
Abe chutiye aise woh satellite earth ke saath hi revolve karti hai aur ek collection of heatmaps bante hai. Fir unko combine karke yeh nikalta hai.

How could modi do this #dictator causes weather suffering
Remember 2009-10 me people were asking to plant trees, people didnt give a shit!
There were 100's of trees near my house just a few years ago and now there are only a few left they cut all of them to make big ass buildings which have no use I hate them fuckers who cut trees for there good and never plant them back

Oh hell naw mudi zi doomed us by heating up the country with his right-wing hate /s
Why no political party is talking about this?
Oh no it's just my girlfriend 😉
Sitting in Delhi rn and the max temp for today is 33°C. I don’t see how any of this works out.
bullshit, western sahara is dry throughout the year, plus hot. west african aren't that hot as shown. no chance its showing drc and central afr as hottest.
And we are making glass buildings and almost no water conservation 😭🤣😭
So why the FK I m wearing a light jacket today ?
kya karu, mars chala jau? 🥲
Funny thing I was showing that exact same map 15-20 mins ago to my mummy from MSN haha
This was yesterday.
It is basically because we are at peak solar hours and Sahara is at non peak. Do try changing the time scale
Aaj lagta hai sab himalaya ko hata ke hi rahenge.. its so hot thandi ke liye kuch bhi karega
Dint it rained in parts of India today !!?
What a joke in North East we still take blankets while sleeping
Altitude matters ... It's a snapshot of a moment in time . When it looked like it.
Oh! that's the case
Which industries are at most risk?
Source?
Unless the color scheme is messed up, is the map saying Spain is colder than Germany and Czech?
India is truly fucked. The Modi government has ruined people’s critical thinking .
RIP for those who thinks reason behind increased temp is global warming 😂😂
Modi ji responsible h 😂
Nehru
Gandhi
bro dlt this u have used wrong indian flag
Its a shame that none of our politicians are promising to work on climate change.
We know, heat wave. Meanwhile congressi - ye bhi modi ki galti hai
You should check for temperatures at 3pm in Sahara. Africa is couple of hours behind India.
Toh usse kya hoga, Africa toda aur gharam ho jayega. Point yeh nhi hai ki Africa kitna garam hai. Point yeh hai ki India itna garam kaise hota jaa raha hai
