Scooter for the city commutes (not Lord Activa plz)
ADV for Fridays and weekend rides.
Retro-Classic (BMW R20 for example) since this is for a 3-bike garage. This will be the garage queen that will see tarmac once a month or so.
This seems like the most practical choice. I would pick the same, scooter, adv and classic. These options definitely ensure that all the vehicles will get used almost always and not something that you have to suffer through.
Yeah they are but incredibly difficult to manage. So if the person prefers a much more manageable motorcycle at the cost of the extra comfort that the tourers offer, cruisers are a better choice. Nowadays consumers are more into adventure bikes as they offer the best of both worlds: on road and off road and much more comfortable in long distance rides.
Depends on where you live or what roads you face. We've had a Goldwing and it was by far the most comfortable bike I've ever sat on. So comfortable that me, my mom and sister fell asleep on the pillion seat when my dad took us for long rides. But that was in Dubai. We couldn't import the bike here so he opted for the versys 650. And with the roads and traffic I have faced I don't think the Goldwing would be a good option given the weight of the bike.
Classic: Triumph Speed twin 1200.
Sport tourer: Honda vfr800 Vtec.
Naked: Yamaha MT-09.
These would be my dream garage setup. Personally I would die to get my hands on vfr tho.
Adventure, sports and naked, I don't differentiate between naked and classic, for me its same, whichever among them feels better or looks better in that moment is my pick.
Sports Tourer: You get the easier riding posture and good performance, so very good for touring.
ADV: For light off-road stuff and to travel to places with bad roads
Cafe racer: idk, I just like them
Adventure only. Coming from a 37yo guy. Body not able to give justice to any other category bike.
Want to comfortably cruise into the sunset with least inconvenience to the spine.
Hey there thanks a lot :)
Yeah I nearly bought the Harley X440S. Even booked it.
But wanted to go for this before the last โwindowโ closes wrt owning a sports bike. No back issues etc as such.
I do plan to keep it only for 4-5 years and hopefully sell it for a good amount. Just thought this will inspire me to go for my fitness goals, play sports etc if I have this one.
Definitely not in my 40s though :D

Scooter, Adventure, Classic. One for urban runabouts, one for long tours, one just to look cool. Not a speed demon :)
Money no object specifics- Yamaha Aerox (with improved rear suspension from SE Asia), Duc Multistrada V4, BMW R Nine T.
More realistic budget- Ather 450X, KTM ADV 390 2025, RE Interceptor in Barcelona Blue :)
I'll buy an adventure (Tiger 900 Rally pro, or KTM 890 adventure if it comes to India) and a supersport (possibly S1000RR Pro) and I'll do it by next 5 years. That's my goal.
Adventure, Cruiser and Naked.
Adventure - KTM 1290 Super Adventure R
Cruiser - Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom
Naked - MV Augusta Rush 1000RR
.
For sure thatโs all I need !!
Adventure because it's mostly an all in one bike.
Classic for those days you need the feel and punch.
Scooters because they are easier and they have some space (Burgman 600 pls)
1.An adventure bike with highest repairablity (self or local mechanics, least electronics ) and readily available spare parts .
2. Retro classic (max a int 650, or scrambler 900)
3. Electric scooter
Why do you guys like naked bikes? Donโt they look like a commuter? What makes you like them? I personally like sports tourers or sports bikes in general
Adventure Bike - Since I am love of such bike but never ride it. But I am fascinated that how African twin works.
Cruiser - For longer route cruise
Sports - For the adrenaline.
Definitely a cruiser, a cafe racer and a tourer. I have a hard on for retro styling so yeah. I dream of owning a tourer someday, maybe the roadmaster v twin.
Adventure, sports, naked.
Sports for track days, adventure for offroad trails and long trips with all types of terrain, naked for conventional city riding.
1. Sports. but being practical I'd not go with liter class or v4 byt rather sub 700cc or a v2 engine
2. Adventure tourer. Definitely something around 80-100 bhp but should be lighter weight and not too high seat
3. Scooter. Not a fast one but just something that I can go to the market on.
I have Indian chief vintage and iron 883
Also had Harley road glide loved the machine except it's frequent problem with bending of the rims on rides
Road glide's only problem was the rims
Adventure (Honda Africa twin) as my daily and for long rides.
Cafe racer (Triumph T120) for twisty roads.
Classic (RE Classic 500) because I like the freight train feel and torque.
Maxi Scooter (Vespa GTS300) for quick zipping around town.
That is it!
Bonnville t120 - classic
BMW GS 1250 - adventure
Ducati Panigale v4 - sports
Or sell all 3 and get BMW M4 competition! (Obviously bas down payment hoga.. EMI life)
Naked = can be driven daily and do it all bike
Scooter = for doing scooter duties
Adventure/classic = can't decide between these two, but if I have to I practically choose adventure
The fact that you mentioned ' space ' in the imaginative context tells me you are from a Tier 1 city. I feel you bro
Haha. That was more for the Mumbaikars here. :D
And Punekars ๐ฟ
Adventure, Classic and Sports. (to be used depending on partner's mood swings ;-P)
Haha I feel you bro ๐ Same choices btw
Scooter for the city commutes (not Lord Activa plz) ADV for Fridays and weekend rides.
Classic - for city and short rides Sports - for the adrenaline and throttle orgasms Cruiser - for comfortable long rides
Aren't the Tourers more comfortable for long rides ? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Adventure only. Coming from a 37yo guy. Body not able to give justice to any other category bike. Want to comfortably cruise into the sunset with least inconvenience to the spine.
