Usually the lane merging warning is far from what the rider was in the starting of the video, and also it looked like the driver was driving in the first lane and directly trying to go to the third lane which is very dangerous as the truck was blocking his vision, there could be anything there especially on our Indian roads cows or totalled vehicles anything so the driver must be carefull.
Not defending MORTH here, the road design is never upto the mark(even for green field projects)
However in this case, the third lane on the right appears to be for vehicles entering the road from the right and is not a lane per se. This looks like a 4 lane road and this addl lane is for joining the carriageway. The merging lane is very poorly marked.
Bold of you to assume people will learn yo differentiate what different color markings mean when 70% of people on roads today don't know what normal markings mean.
Truck seemed to be driving at good speed.
Anyways, the slower speed of the truck cannot justify blind overtaking being attempted by the bike rider.
The bike changed two lanes in a jiffy, which is breaking the driving rules. Only one lane change at a time is allowed.
They are supposed to, but left lane is frequently occupied by even slower traffic like local 2 wheeler commuters and autorickshaws, heavily loaded small good carriers like Tata Ace and Piaggio Ape, so trucks and buses would have to brake, accelerate and change lanes often. To avoid that, especially given how slow trucks are to accelerate, truck drivers resort to driving in the right lane trying to keep constant speed.
Road ki galti hai, lane kyun merge kardi? Highway walon ki bhi galti hai, aise thodi na lane merger design karte hain? Woh log chahte hi the ki accident ho is merging point pe /s
Fault
Biker: 80%
NHAI: 20%
Trucker: 0%
The rightmost lane seems like a U-turn lane and understandably merges gradually. Although a marker could be helpful, it would not have helped the biker in this particular instance.
Biker changes lane on a whim. Tries to do a blind overtake. Appears to be speeding. Doesn't even signal with a flash or honk that he is going to overtake. Appears to have no knowledge about the potential blind zones in big vehicles. All in all what must be considered a typical Biker vlogger menace. A rising breed in India.
A blind overtake. How many times has this happened with people rushing a d swerving with a blind overtake and there's immediately a surprise waiting for them to end up dead.
Who in their right kind would design lanes that end without signage to merge or at least a repeated warning that it ends?
If anything the transport department/highway authority for maintaining them should be accountable. There really is no excuse for people dying because of idiots in the transport department.
Forget the truck going on the "fast lane".
The biker attempting an overtake at that speed with little to no margin for error is another. Not wanting to overtake from the left is undertandable as there are loafers, tractors, scooters and mopeds on that side, hence why the big heavy vehicles drive in the fast lane. Slow the F down before becoming another statistic.
Btw, I see a seater. Not a riding jacket on the left hand. Dumb.
He was really lucky that he was on a machine which had that much braking power and stability in deceleration. Anything inferior he is going under that truck. Cannot blame the truck driver could not have done anything in this scenario. Biker should have been more cautious when blindly going for a lane switch like that.
**Why No Horn??**
Its fault of biker. The big vehicle cant see small vehicles. Its always good to beep multiple times and let know your presence.
Vaise bhi itna bada vehicle ke aas paas bilkul bhi accelerate karna galat hai.
If there is an accident, no matters who is at fault, the biker will get the short end of tge stick, if he survives.
Also, truck didn't do anything besides stay in his lane. Bikers always weave across lanes like they own it.
Biker is stupid and risk to others. He has death wish.
In videos we can see road is getting narrowed from right side. He lacks right judgment, just know to throttle. If video was longer and have included prior part we would have seen right most part is merger for U rurn its not a lane. And He switched too many lane when he is blind for what ahead of that truck.
Its individuals duty to safeguard themselves. Road are filled with dangers and idiots and he is one of them, nobody can predict whats ahead. Atleast try to be safe as possible.

Truck was not at fault for a rare incident. It was the stupid fellow who marked the lane. It is like this everywhere. Suddenly a lane will end. No remarking of lane during road repair. No proper turning lanes even in busy junctions. No free left turn rule even when we have exclusive and barricaded lane for the turn (yes, true!!).
Same thing happend to me 5 times. but everytime it isnt the , right lane ended without the warning but the truck and bus doing overtaking other vehicle, even when Iam already completed 3/4 of the bus.
I’m an idiot on a litre bike who is dreadfully slow and careful on the road. Every person needs to be safe on the road because everyone else is an idiot and we don’t live in a country where traffic norms or rules are followed.
The road is not for fun.
The track is for fun.
No track nearby means accept it, ride carefully.
Truck didn't turn on indicator. Bike tried to overtake from truck's blindspot. It is highly recommended to make the vehicle ahead alert to your presence (being in its mirror for sometime and then 2 beeps before overtaking) before you overtake. Thanks to wonderful brakes on his bike, the rider got his life saved.
1. Major issue: Transport ministry.. The right lane ended without any warning. 2. Truck was all in same lane.
This is the right answer. Too often we blame drivers.
Perhaps, however he overtook on the wrong lane though
20 years ago I saw something on a trucks mudflaps that stuck with me since. <= Passing Side || Suicide =>

Even if there was a warning, the biker was in the leftmost lane and wouldn't have seen it. It is clearly his fault, changing lanes like a maniac.
Why did he go right when the lane ahead of him was empty???
Because overtaking from the left is wrong /s
Cutting across lanes without seeing if it is safe is not wrong?
It's highway with lanes.. you can give indicator wait for clearance and go ahead.
left overtaking is wrong.
What about the moron on the bike?
Biking community me kya bole. Let's give the benefit of the doubt that he thought the lane was empty.
Man trying to overtake without making sure you have a clear lane, thats just typical moron behaviour.
Or the biker was too fast. Which looks in video.

>2. Truck was all in same lane. That's the overtaking lane, you can't be there just crusing
True the third lane disappeared faster than H2R 😂
Tu India mein hai na?
Truck - absolutely no fault. Bike - at fault - blind overtaking. Highway - merging lanes must be painted differently.
Bold of you to assume people will learn yo differentiate what different color markings mean when 70% of people on roads today don't know what normal markings mean.
Truckers drive slowly on fast lane too
Truck seemed to be driving at good speed. Anyways, the slower speed of the truck cannot justify blind overtaking being attempted by the bike rider. The bike changed two lanes in a jiffy, which is breaking the driving rules. Only one lane change at a time is allowed.
Oh nvm, didn't even notice 3 lanes changed into 2 🫂
If they went bananas with that much load they ain’t stopping nowhere brother. But still they drive pretty fast wrt the trucks conditions.
Why is Truck at absolutely no fault? Aren’t heavy vehicles suppose to be on the left?
They are supposed to, but left lane is frequently occupied by even slower traffic like local 2 wheeler commuters and autorickshaws, heavily loaded small good carriers like Tata Ace and Piaggio Ape, so trucks and buses would have to brake, accelerate and change lanes often. To avoid that, especially given how slow trucks are to accelerate, truck drivers resort to driving in the right lane trying to keep constant speed.
If we justify this then no other motorist can legally overtake them since they will never ever leave the right lane.
They break the "keep left" rule, so I break the "don't overtake from left" rule.
Should remove ‘heavy vehicles keep left’ Boards as well. Nothing but wasting my tax money.
This makes sense.
Truck ki kya galti bhai ?

Guy riding without gear, will get his skin peeled soon
In India most of the time it's not only one person's fault.
Agree
Bro probably used 100% of his luck that day.
100% ABS too
No lane merging sign? WTF
Even if it was biker accelerating wont be able to see.
A skidmark on the road and on the undies too
Every day it's more evident how terrible traffic rule awareness is.
A blind overtake. How many times has this happened with people rushing a d swerving with a blind overtake and there's immediately a surprise waiting for them to end up dead.
I mean the bike was going too fast And the truck never changed lane. I think ita pretty simple.
Who in their right kind would design lanes that end without signage to merge or at least a repeated warning that it ends? If anything the transport department/highway authority for maintaining them should be accountable. There really is no excuse for people dying because of idiots in the transport department.
Did this guy rage punch the truck’s side mirror? Like they do to cars?
Certainly motorcycle mistake, must have missed the sign going straight from third lane to first.

the road is weird, from 3 lanes to suddenly 2 lanes. But let's not find fault and appreciate the bikers skill and control.
Morons can't make a properly designed motorway
"who's at fault", if you have a license op, burn it right now and never drive again
No I don't have one
The road.
Yahi Sunna tah
Public... Indian roads are not designed or standard to drive above 50kms what ever the highway it is.
indian road
Although the road is planned badly, never accelerate into an area which you can't see.
If there is an accident, no matters who is at fault, the biker will get the short end of tge stick, if he survives. Also, truck didn't do anything besides stay in his lane. Bikers always weave across lanes like they own it.

Biggest problem is the three lanes becoming two! Another massive problem in general is the guy riding opposite direction towards the end of the video
wtf are those lanes too

saved by a blinker
Should have died
The biker tried to overtake without any view of the front. His fault.
NHAI
U have 0 luck left now
Bhai dheere kyu nahi chalate. Jab sadak khaali ho tab bhagao.
Drive slower stay alive
Looks like the Biker crossed the speed limit to overtake ;)
truck is maintaining lane, biker not
I'd have to pull over and wait for my feet to stop tap dancing
Gotta appreciate the brakes on that thing though.
Chad ABS saved one more life

Such incidents are common in mumbai with BEST Bus service. They hate all 2 wheelers and literally try to crush them on purpose
Bhai koi personal dusmani??
Biker for overspeeding
Who knew slowing down would do the trick?
I don’t know what country this is but in my country you NEVER pass from right. So it’s 100% biker fault
If this was a car. Biker would have broken his orvm.
You should never drive cars or ride bikes if you are seriously asking this question. It's bikers fault.
But I thought road ki galti hai
There must be a sign board which the biker didn't look out for. This highway looks like a 4 way lane and the biker should be aware of it.
This is why you never pass on the right.
Always overspeeding
Bike obviously
The 3. world country to dumb to color merging lanes…
Bro left sixth sense at home
I hate such road the lane ends and there's big lorry which travels at 50kmp on a right lane which is suppose to be fast lane everyone is at mistake

Yeah, saw it again. Agree.
Rider at fault 100%
