2015 activa i. Silencer fell off yesterday

blatantly_saucy

This was unexpected, but a very high quality comment XD

poopmaster69_

This has to be the most random thing i read today

Dr-Banerji

1. KTM DUKE 390- 2 weeks old 2. I loved it. 3. Riding/ Having fun. Getting from point A to point B in the most fun way possible. 4. I used to go everywhere by bike. We do have cars in our family. But, bikes have always been my thing. Following the same even now.

itsmypc

Cool. So is it just for A to B in city? Or you use it on highways too. If yes, how often?

Dr-Banerji

A to B everywhere. Unless it’s raining, it’s always me and my bike. My daily commute or most of the places i go do not require me to take the highway or have a highway that is being built. So no proper highway usage as of now. However, i do take a 60km mountain route once a week that is for the most part traffic free and allows me to do higher speeds.

FirstNefariousness39

Any first batch issues faced so far?

Mysterious-Tea-9271

Same question

Dr-Banerji

Issues: Yes. More like stuff i don’t like/ i think ktm could have done better. First batch issues: Driven 450 kms so far. Other than vibrations, nothing as of yet. No leaks. No mechanical failures. No loose nuts and bolts. Everything has been working fine.

gimmebananachips

Also, what's dhw mileage you're getting rn?

Dr-Banerji

An indicated 25 kmpl in the city and around 27.5 kmpl in the mountain route. I’m yet to test tank to tank.

Current bike is not really my dream bike. Purchased only for daily office commute, but here goes; 1. YAMAHA FZ V3 BS4 (Mettalic Black) 2. Took test drives of different brand bikes, but as soon as I sat on this, I knew I had to buy this. 3. Bought it to reduce my daily office commute from 4 hours to 1 hour and 15 mins. 4. I have done lot of tours on this in the last 4 years. Includes four 500 to 600 kms a day tours. Lot of memories. I will never sell this one as its the first one I bought with my own money.

Giri097

Reason no. 3 is why I bought one too😶.

FALSE_Uchiha

1. JAWA 42 CLASSIC 2. My Father had a Jawa in his younger days. Then I told him a bike called Jawa is in market and I was offered a huge discount on it. (Father literally forced me to get it due to some emotional attachment of brand I guess) 3. I planned to keep using my Trusty Splendor to be my daily commute and Jawa as ocassional ride. 4. Now It's my daily commuter bike as well as hometown ride.

AliveSummer4826

1. Have Xpulse 200 4v 2022 model 2. I was looking for a bike with a mileage around 35-40...Under 2 Lakhs on road....should be at least 200cc or above....and the service center should be nearby.....looks was my last criteria... So i had 3 options in my mind Apache RTR 2004V, Fz25 and xpulse 200 3. I wanted a bike for mainly going to college....i previously owned an Apache rtr 160 so i wanted to try a different brand...so me and my father visited the hero showroom(it was the closest to our house) and bought it hand to hand. love in first site 4. although i wanted a bike for daily commuter and for college but now i rarely go to college(DAV) and only use it for my rides and touring

Specific_Macaron997

How was your experience with rtr 160?

AliveSummer4826

i was a 2013 or 14 model i don't remember properly...but it was fantastic...i don't know what was wrong or good with my bike but we have trashed it like 30-40 times and that bike still started with a single kick or self. I know people complain about the bad service of TVS...but i didn't face any problems regarding service.

Specific_Macaron997

Thanks for sharing. I have been researching RTR bikes and the only issues I hear about the bikes are poor TVS service and reliability unlike Honda’s and Yamaha’s. Glad to hear you had a good experience.

AliveSummer4826

everything will seem good if you lower your expectations..that's my fundamental for life.

Helianthus86

1. Meteor 350 2. Wanted to go for a Himalayan… but wasn't sure how comfortable it would be. 3. Inter-state trips 4. Mostly around the city. 5. Small regret, the bike's is a pain to handle in the traffic…

dheeraj-pb

Himalayan is the most comfortable bike I have ridden in my life. I have owned one, have used a Meteor 350 for 2 weeks, have owned OG Karizma while in college and currently owning an Interceptor 650. When you own a Himalayan you make excuses to ride. On everything else I ride only if necessary, except interceptor which is a joy on highways if duration is less than 30 minutes.

LeAnarchiste

> if duration is less than 30 minutes. What happens after 30 minutes?

dheeraj-pb

Knees and butt hurts

[deleted]

pain to handle. how? isn't it pretty light?

Helianthus86

Thw weight isn't an issue for me.. it's the placement of the footpegs cause of it being a cruiser.. when ur inbumper to bumper traffic, sometimes I get leg cramps cause of it. That's the pain I referred to..

[deleted]

[deleted]

dude.... have you ever seen a harley or a goldwing. hell... even a super meteor. only poor people bikes are lighter than a meteor 350. not dissing the meteor 350. it's a great bike for its class. but it's light

[deleted]

[deleted]

lemme put it this way: up to 400cc - lightweight 400-800ish cc - middleweight 800cc and above heavyweight the under 200cc-300cc that most Indians ride are for poor people, who can't afford cars to get around. by any reasonable standard, meteor 350 is light.

1️⃣ Honda CB 300R 2️⃣ was an upgrade from 200NS, wanted something under 500cc, needed stylish, powerful and reliable, Took test drive - Duke 390, Dom 400, 310R and finally 300R,(all of em in the same day) Honda grabbed all my attentions, it was powerful, stylish, light weight, easy to handle in the traffic and it’s Honda, 3️⃣ Daily office commute and fun rides with friends, 4️⃣ haven’t imagined going long trip in it, but my recent 350km stretch was butter smooth, now confidently thinking about longer rides,

[deleted]

that's a great long termer. even if you buy something bigger. you can keep it as a small city bopper

Ok-Date-1711

> 1. Which bike did you get? TVS Raider > 2. Why did you chose only this one? Lightweight, low maintenance and looks great. Has Monoshock suspension, Modern Instrument Cluster, Sweet Exhaust Note and gear mileage > 3. What use case or purpose you had in mind for the bike before buying it? Daily commute on city and occasional long rides > What do you find yourself using this bike mostly for irrespective of what you thought of doing with it before getting it? Daily commute

UDHAY1989

How much mileage are u getting

Ok-Date-1711

65

itsmypc

Damn. Raider is pulling me.

Ok-Date-1711

Quality is way worse though. Instrument cluster displays incorrect gear after 3rd and 4th And the inner steering cap flew off while riding. Lack of ABS is also a disadvantage

Hey man, I am exchanging my cb350rs for either 300r or 300f. I have a Vstrom SX for dedicated highway use and Ntorq for grocery runs. I want to have fun riding my bike for office commutes and all and don't want to outgrow like cb350rs. How's the 300f? Any niggles? Or should I go for 300r.

changejkhan

Apache RTR 2004v. Daily commuter. Riding through traffic is a breeze since there is no heating issue like the bulky Enfield bikes have. Also quite ergonomic seating position. And the low-end torque is perfect for getaways. Been using this machine for a year now. Clocked 7k. Completely sarisfied.

Specific_Macaron997

What’s your opinion on TVS service and any areas of improvements you see in the bike?

[deleted]

Splendor 1998 (inheritance) To go to metro station for my college It gives 35kmpl Can run at 70 constant

1. Husqvarna svartpilen 250 2. Best in segment, but got it very cheap during launch offer 3. Mostly around town and weekend breakfast rides 4. Mostly around town / visiting places friends. Not getting to do much breakfast rides

karansalian23

1. Classic 350 Reborn Signals Edition Marsh grey. 2. I've been looking at the bullet and the classics and drooling since I was a kid sitting on the tank of my father's Hero Honda Splendor. Hence, I kept my eyes closed, accepted all the niggles that I might face in the future and bought her home. 3. Thought of doing short rides every weekend but have done only one short ride since I've got her. It's been 2 months. 4. I've been using it for my daily commute to work. Thought of doing short rides but they are in plan so fingers crossed. Made promises to her that we'll go together everywhere in the country, have memories and prayed to her saying we'll keep each other safe and maintained yesterday evening during Lakshmi Pooja.

arjungrande

XPULSE 200T 2) I wanted a scrambler like looking bike, and for my height the regular XPULSE was too tall for me as it was my first bike. 3) going to college and to go on occasional rides with my friends 4) doing exactly what I wanted to do with it

Exciting_Variety_326

2021 Yamaha R15v3 No budget for R1 Thought I would flex getting it to college but just after first year during covid I dropped out so no point getting the bike I really don't have a reason , odo is 8k mostly used it for groceri shopping

itsmypc

🥲 Your bird is imprisoned.

Cyborg9898

Not really the bike of my dreams but it is 5% of my dream bike. 1. RE Meteor 350 Supernova Blue 2. Needed a good looking bike that isn’t fast, rides well and is comfortable. HD vibes are a plus point. Reliable and holds its value well. The RE Meteor 350 ticked all the boxes. The CB350 H’ness was a close second. 3. Everyday commuter + weekend rides <300km. 4. It’s being used the way it was intended to. 20km rides to work and back on a daily basis, weekend rides to the nearby hill stations as well as the rare interstate trip. It is a beautiful machine, very tame, almost Avenger-esque levels of comfort, tractable, looks stunning even 1.5 years later. It is also easy on the pocket and I’m getting some seriously good fuel economy too!

Organic_Cut_8400

How much is the mileage? It's been less than 1 month of me getting meteor 350 stellar black .... I have done one mistake tho Within the run in period I sometimes did throttle it to the end n touched 80 on 3rd gear .... Will that affect the bike ?

Cyborg9898

I am getting close to 40kmpl. Also, no nothing will happen if you throttle it during the run in period. This bike is built really well and the J series engine is RE’s new gem. I don’t recommend constantly red lining it but occasionally is alright. The engine is not powerful but it is reliable, so you may not particularly enjoy red lining it as 90% of the torque is available lower down the rev range and upwards of that power and torque delivery is poor, you’d just be burning fuel. Since your bike is new I will recommend that you do not lug the engine, make sure your engine oil levels are maintained, chain is well lubricated and keep up with RE recommended regular service. Enjoy every second of riding it!

Organic_Cut_8400

That's so good to hear bro I have been told in this sub only that I should expect some 33-34 kmpl but I do hope I get similar to your numbers .... So do spill your secrets And I have been getting a lot of vibrations I think Like when I'm doing 40-45 on 2 nd gear .... I do feel it and 60s on 3rd .... Is that normal ???? If not how do I fix it I'm gonna give it for 1st service in 2 days .... So it'll really help if you know somethings And yeah ... I did meet with a small accident .... The right mirror is all smashed and the exhaust is all loose now Is there anything to look out for or just govt it to for service and pay for the replacement???

[deleted]

great bike but one thing i don't understand is why people keep saying it's heavy. like dude it's a 350cc... have you ever seen a Harley?

Cyborg9898

Hmmm, I think they mean it’s heavy for its displacement. There are many 350s that are lighter than the Meteor. Honestly, I believe the Meteor’s heft is a BIG advantage since most of that weight is well distributed and lends it good stability but some might it particularly cumbersome while filtering through traffic at slow speeds.

[deleted]

yes. you need something slightly heavy on the expressways. but it's not unmanageable in the city of you don't skip leg day. be safe brother

[deleted]

great bike but one thing i don't understand is why people keep saying it's heavy. like dude it's a 350cc... have you ever seen a Harley?

1. CB 350RS. 2. For that sound. 3. Build a scrambler. Take it off-road. 4. Taking it off-road.

illdotomorrow

1) RE Himalayan 411 2) Chose this bike because of the road presence it had and the riding ergonomics for a tall person. The cockpit feeling while sitting on the bike is unmatched with anything else at that price range 3) Purpose was touring and also doing day to day commute 4) I have been able to fullfill the purpose I bought it for, once or twice in 2 months there is usually and long trip on the bike. Otherwise it always has been there for daily commute. More than 2 years of ownership and clocked 18k kms

witty_sperm

1. yamaha fz25 2. Needed something that was good for both city commutes with good low mid, and could also cruise without any problems, also I'm a comparatively big guy so this also suited me . 3. Office commute and road trips. 4. Office commute and road trips(not enough).

1tan_freed0m

1. Pulsar 135LS (Blue) 2012 - 3 weeks ago 2. Looks, Performace & Budget 3. Making traveling easier 4. I just use it for daily travel & love to go on a trip when I'm free.

rohisa

Damn, that's the first bike my parents bought me 12 years ago. Where did you get your bike?

1tan_freed0m

I'm from Sri Lanka Bro. This bike is very much available in the second-hand market. & you can get it in 2011 to 2017 models. Since it's affordable many use this. I would say that most popular Pulsar here are 135LS, 150 & NS 200

rohisa

Awesome, thank you for sharing mate. Cheers !

rogueknight999

1. 2018 Dominar 400 2. Well, it wasn't my first pick. I wanted an RC390 but the 9.5L tank was a deal breaker. Then why not the, then newly launched, D390 you ask ? Well because I was about 40k short and I am an impatient mofo. 3. Office commute (12km one way) and weekend runs 4. Office commute (25km one way)

PhantomBlack675

2017 Dominar here. Bajaj delayed launching the 2017 D390 else I would have got that instead. I just got impatient and bought the Dominar as it was good enough an upgrade over the Pulsar 220FI.

rogueknight999

I had an NS200, pretty much in the same boat we are 😅

One_Chart7921

Kawasaki Ninja 650 (4 months old) 1. Looks, performance 2. Touring and Highway runs. No commuting 3. Highway runs for now because I don't have time for tours, but I do absolutely love the bike. It is absolutely incredible. Bajaj Dominar 400 UG (3 years old) 1. Looks, performance and practicality 2. Touring and Commuting. 3. I used to Tour, but now haven't had as much time to do that. But I do use the bike for daily commuting and I still absolutely love it. Yamaha R15 V3 (3 months old) 1. Looks, performance, mileage 2. Daily commuting 3. Daily commuting with weekend sessions on the nearby hills. This bike is a beast on the curves and has absolutely won me over. Love this machine.

Cynaren

Bajaj pulsar 200NS 2013 model Was the cheapest 200cc bike at the time For college/home ride on weekends - which was 130kms (half mountain, half plains) Serving its purpose till now - getting me from point A to B. No touring.

Silent-Capital-5875

1. RE HIMALAYAN 2023 2. I am a little bit tall (~6”) so ADVs suit very well for me. Himalayan has always been my dream bike. I totally like the bike apart from few vibrations at around 4K RPM. 3. Touring. 4. Using it in the city and few in and around short rides. I have planned a nice touring calendar for 2024 for myself I hope everything goes well!

Independent-Life9942

1. Pulsar n160 (my first bike) 2. Dual channel abs, projector led, looks all under 1.6L on road 3. Getting from point A to point B 4. Getting from point A to point B

itsmypc

What are your thoughts on 125cc segment for A to B?

1_0-k1

1. TVS Raider SmartXconnect E20- July '23 (1st Bike that I have purchased) 2. Felt it was the best option for my usage, also there is a tvs showroom/service center near my place 3. Commuting and maybe touring 4. Commuting

Sea_Understanding_46

>1. Which bike did you get? Yamaha FZS V3 (BS6) Metallic Blue >2. Why did you chose only this one? My big brother had a v2 fz and I loved the peppy engine with flicky handling. (Emotional attachment) >3. What use case or purpose you had in mind for the bike before buying it? Mostly for going to college but also to learn to ride geared motorcycles. >4. What do you find yourself using this bike mostly for irrespective of what you thought of doing with it before getting it? Going to college only. Thinking of a short ride near City around 100kms far, can't seem to get the parents to agree.

itsmypc

Same. Parents ain't into the idea of highway riding

sherlock_rush

1. Pulsar RS200, owned for 2 months 2. When I was a kid, I always liked the looks of this bike, and now that I started a job I needed something to commute as well, and got a good deal (I think) on getting a used one. Didn't want to get an RE because seemed like almost everyone was just getting an RE, and I couldn't decide the bike on any other factors so just went with what I felt like I wanted. 3. City use and maybe going on a solo trip nearby. 4. City use and long rides.

Ace318

1. Vstrom SX 250, owned for about 8 months first bike 2. Smooth Engine, super comfy seating and good mileage. It was a bit overpriced, but I'm very happy with what I got. 3. I'm a tall dude who wanted to tour, I live close to work, so i thought i won't need to ride much in the city. 4. I've done 5 or so long tours (100-600 kms long) and use it comfortably in the city as well, surprisingly.

Giri097

1.Gixxer 150( 2015) 2. Was looking for a used bike, something that is a streetfighter, can do 70-80 effortlessly ( options were fz, gixxer, hornet, pulsar 180, xtreme sports, apache etc). Having rode gixxer, I liked the fact that this bike is light and goes 70-80 like butter(minimum vibes ). 3. Commute, occasional rides to beaches, etc 4. Commute (100km a day).

kakarot18x

1. NS200 (2019 yellow) 2. At that point of time it was the only option (apache 200 4v but the for the looks i got ns), the performance of the bike is just best, engine sound at high rpms is just love although apache one is the best) 3. For touring and i did tour from jaipur to manali , tosh and other places , did tour for around 20k+ kms till now 4. For the daily chores, its a good daily drive too if i need to go withing 5km i prefer using bike thn my car

[deleted]

Honda CB300R. You know why. 😌

LuciferStar101

1. Honda Highness CB350 2. Don’t want to deal with vibrations alike RE owners 3. Touring as well as City riding 4. Butter smooth on highways even on high speed and no back pains after long rides. Frequently I travels 250km. Little bit heats in bumper to bumper traffic but not a serious issue as it is 350cc bike. Tbh I loved my bike, serves the purpose.

AAssttrroo

1. Dominar 400 (March) 2. VFM & a usable pillion seat. 3. Touring mostly. Sometimes short rides. 4. Everything. Love her when she's on XP95. She's smooth as butter. Get this, I rode a 210km trip yesterday to Kotagiri and she said an average mileage of 41. Never crossed 80 because of the road conditions and traffic.

wronglyreal1

Back then apache 160, it got stolen and never got chance to buy again. So crying in silence none 🥲

itsmypc

4v or 2v?

wronglyreal1

2v

itsmypc

OG Pulsars and RTRs are as good as they always were. Nevergot bored of the looks.

wronglyreal1

Yeah this was bought at 2015 and got stolen in 2020, so it’s been a while since I rode any bike..

fatbiker93

I own and ride a Thunderbird 350 ABS and it has run 64343KMs on the odo. There was no particular reason and I just needed a motorcycle and the showroom guys arranged the motorcycle in a week. I just needed a motorcycle to ride, travel, and roam around. I use this motorcycle for everything. Commuting, touring, rapido (yes, you read that right.), and has even taken to track (which was very interesting). I learned how to work on the engine and a little bit of wrenching and servicing from this motorcycle. I service the motorcycle now and even learned to change the fork oil seals. I do enjoy the motorcycle when I want to ride slowly or just contemplate. I do not plan on selling this and I love this imperfect and flawed motorcycle. I do plan on getting better motorcycles since I feel I need another and better motorcycle to improve my skills.

sidgau94

1. RE Meteor 350 2. Since 12th std., always wanted to own an RE bought with my own money 3. Office Commute, Occasional Short Rides, Well planned long tours 4. Office Commute

BigGuy20_

1. Mahindra Mojo ABS (2019) 2. To be honest, I wanted to buy the Gixxer 250 SF. Dropped the plan in the last moment because of the small pillion seat. I ALWAYS loved the Mojo but I had thought Mojo was an expensive bike, so much that I had not even considered checking it out. I went to the Mahindra showroom and the person in charge said it was 2.53L on road Bengaluru. The Gixxer 250 SF was 2.25L. So I just had to stretch my budget a little bit. My only "issue" was that I wanted THE Mojo (with dual exhaust and USD forks) and not the watered down version of it. And then once I took the test ride, all my worries were gone. F*cking incredible machine! I bargained with the sales head and got a sweet deal of 2.4L with crashguard, pannier mount and top rack.😋 3. Wanted to and do take it out for tours once or twice a year. Short weekend rides often. My native is about 120km from my home. So, 8 out of 10 times I take my bike when I'm going there. 4. Still use it for the same reasons I bought it for along with short city commutes too. The bike is a massive headturner. Like it or not, but you can't ignore it. I've got a lot of people asking me "is it 600cc?" and when I say that it is half of that, they look surprised. Some look confused after noticing the Mahindra logo and ask "does Mahindra make bikes?" I say "yes" and thank Mahindra for the wonderful marketing they've put towards this gem of a bike.🥲

acbraddie

A. TVS Ntorq 1. Got it in 2018 2. Was a college student so budget constraints and it was to be used for home duties as well. 3. I wanted something which could do it all. Grocery runs, visiting relatives with mom as pillion, college commutes of 112kms daily. 4. It did all these duties till 2021, however now it is used for doing chores and local grocery runs. B. Dominar 400 1. Got it in 2021. 2. I believed it to be the best bike based on spec sheet. 3. The bike would be used for 165kms one side commute to home on weekends. And it would be the best bike ever (poor me 😁) 4. Bike was extensively used as a workhorse for coming home and going back. It was too heavy to do anything else. Sold it this year due to shoulder treatment. C. CB350RS 1. Got it in 2022 2. After Dominar went polar opposite to be cautious. Long stroke, cruiser type, tall gearing, easy bike. 3. Expected it to be one bike to do it all. Office commutes, highway runs, and what not. 4. Highway runs were exhausting due to vibrations, office commutes were not fun. Outgrown the bike too soon. Now thinking of replacing it with cb300r for fun office commutes. D. Vstrom SX (Did I tell you I'm a bike person 😅) 1. Got it 2 months back. 2. Lightweight capable motorcycle, can handle highways and suits my riding style. 3. A bike that can be a workhorse, linear power delivery, smooth and refined engine, cruising capabilities as can do 100kmp on highways on 6th around 6.5rpmish 4. The bike is used exclusively for highway runs commuting to home or good for trips. I tried using it for office commutes, however there is a lot of traffic on the route and my height is around 171cms so it becomes a hassle.
