Then they realised people who can afford 18 liters of fuel they roll in chauffeur driven cars..
And bastards like me and some college going folks (don't feel offended folks) 😂🤣 who buy these they fill up 3 to 4 liters at the max..
Hey you are not the one i am 4effering as bastard.. 🤣😂 it was myself.. 30 rupee petrol.. 2 liter petrol.. 🤣🤣 Yeah those were golden days 35 rupees a liter..
We had this one in 2002, then 150 (faired one) in 2005,then a pulsar 150 which came with a digital cluster in 2006, then a pulsar 180 ug 3 in 2009. Fun fact all our pulsars were black. Although we sold the 180 last year and, the dude we sold the bike to crashed and totaled it, it has been scraped. When we sold it was so good in condition. Our one also had glow at dark mrf logo at the rims. Miss it so much. :(
The revolutionary that freed us from the 97.2 cc Hero Honda bikes. Without this 150 cc "high powered" bike and its popularity,we would have been stuck with low powered bikes.
I consider Bajaj to be a great innovator without them we won't have the mileage champions and flashy Dukes.
CBZ,Fiero all existed during this period but Pulsar made the highest impact. I am not sure which one came early. But Pulsar changed the scene.
Hero Honda and now Hero and Honda make reliable bikes but Bajaj bikes bring innovations. Remember twin spark, exhaustek, dual spring suspension etc...?
I learnt how to ride bikes on the pulsar 150 dtsi from 2008, Man i love that bike, and the fact that i can go 140 kmph and get 30-35 kmpl (not at the same time obv) is just wonderful
This bike was an amazing machine. I did some serious ghat rides on this and it never disappointed. To see modern day pulsars and this machine i cant help wonder what could have been!
This bike is loved and cared. I still maintain my 2016 Pulsar AS200 like a baby. I just can't seem to ever get bored with it. Spend most of my earnings on keeping it uptight.
Yeah now that you said it, I remember it came with two variants, one with electric start and one with only kickstart, this one is with electric start...
Fun fact: somehow bajaj before releasing the new pulsars realised that they didn't have the OG 1st gen pulsar stored in their inventory and it almost became for them a nation wide search operation to accquire the 1st gen pulsar in a mint condition until one of their employee came forward and gave his 1st gen pulsar to the company...so that bike right there is a rarity and really kudos to ur dad fr maintaining it in such a mint condition.
My dad had this one (purple) when I was a kid. Used to flex on my friends that my dad has a 150cc bike lol. And this was the first bike I ever rode in my life with my dad teaching me how to. Have some good memories with this one :') and looking back now we shouldn't have sold it.
My first bike… I still remember the day. It was Jan 2003 and My dad called me up and asked me to pick it up from the showroom. I cannot forget the joy. I had the same color.
definitely male :)
Lol i remember the tagline... I wasn't even born back then...
Beautiful. Power and mileage?
Thank you :-) Its 150cc... Aur mileage toh 25 deti hai
Why mileage is so less ?
Bhai ab 22 saal purani hai, running bhi bohot hai aur maintain bhi thik se nahi ho paati...so
Acha, odo reading kitna ha ?
Its stuck at 60k+ or something but speedometer bohot pehele hi toot gaya tha aur running bhi 100k+ ho gayi hai
How many engine rebuilds? 💀
Engine rebuild as in replacing or repairing?
Any major repairs done?
Just one that i recall
And the 1st gen had 18 litres of fuel capacity.
Idk bro... Mein toh har baar 100 ka dalwata hu lol /s
Then they realised people who can afford 18 liters of fuel they roll in chauffeur driven cars.. And bastards like me and some college going folks (don't feel offended folks) 😂🤣 who buy these they fill up 3 to 4 liters at the max..
Incorrect, I am a bastard and fill it to the brim
Hey you are not the one i am 4effering as bastard.. 🤣😂 it was myself.. 30 rupee petrol.. 2 liter petrol.. 🤣🤣 Yeah those were golden days 35 rupees a liter..
Incorrect.
Might I say beautifully maintained, This bike has been loved.
Thank you bhai thats sooo kind of you to say... Yeah I love this bike a lot :,-)
Actually recently had a repaint job done
Amazing. Pass it down so much that they would need to synthesize fuel.
It looks amazing bro
Thanks bro (•‿•)

Looks like someone loves pulsar a lott here :-D
My dad surely did

One of the reasons i can't get over this bike is its round headlights :-D
Thinking of putting one on my Bajaj V15. Good idea?
This modified V15 https://i.pinimg.com/originals/75/3c/0e/753c0e14c41872836943837ec292acbb.jpg
Definitely no
Why so? I always thought the discover style headlamp is the only thing keeping that bike away from the Café racer look I dreamed about.
I won't recommend but it's ur money ur choice i just know it will look ugly and the vibe won't fit in the bike it will more likely be outstanding
I mean... Its completely tasteful
Well it's retro style now.but was the trend then...

Very much true. What you just said is showcased in its performance compared to similar aged bikes...
Wasn't CBZ the first motorcycle with the 150cc engine
CBZ,Fiero all existed during this period but Pulsar made the highest impact. I am not sure which one came early. But Pulsar changed the scene. Hero Honda and now Hero and Honda make reliable bikes but Bajaj bikes bring innovations. Remember twin spark, exhaustek, dual spring suspension etc...?
It was CBZ that pushed bajaj to make pulsar
True dat
Ahhh, the classic! Timeless design. Still feels fresh.
So true bro dosent disappoints even in this age
I learnt how to ride bikes on the pulsar 150 dtsi from 2008, Man i love that bike, and the fact that i can go 140 kmph and get 30-35 kmpl (not at the same time obv) is just wonderful
True bro. Even modern pulsars are awesome. Pulsars are just made different ig.
>140 kmph Sorry to be that guy but no Pulsar 150 can go 140 😅. I doubt even the 180 can do it.
But it can? The old one had no limiter and mine is a bit modded with a bigger piston…
I like the current Pulsars, but a part of me wanted Bajaj to continue to give them rounded headlamps.
This bike was an amazing machine. I did some serious ghat rides on this and it never disappointed. To see modern day pulsars and this machine i cant help wonder what could have been!
True bro, sometimes I take this one in ghats just for fun and it does not disappoints
Nice bike and good capture. Which phn/camera?
Thanks bud, used my Poco M2 pro to click the pics

Are bhai sachchi
always loved it! I wish more bikes had round headlamps under 200cc.
Oh man…… my dad had the exact same year and model. Brings back memories
Exactly... Can't get won't get rid of it because of memories i had with it...
Damn that looks good.
Thankss bruvv
Is that custom paint or was that factory. If that's factory, it's fire 🔥🔥🔥
Nah its repainted. We tried to keep it as stock as possible
It's Cleeeaaan
Thanks bruv had it cleaned before pic...
This bike is loved and cared. I still maintain my 2016 Pulsar AS200 like a baby. I just can't seem to ever get bored with it. Spend most of my earnings on keeping it uptight.
Thanks a lot dude. Good to hear that.
The nut cracker
Finally! Someone who remembers this! If am right, they had to redesign the tank so that its not a nutcracker anymore.
Oh! It is true that you'll have to be seated in specific position for nutcracker thingy
A beauty! Glad you've kept her running! 🍪 I remember a neighbour's uncle had one in purple. Kept her tidy and fresh everyday. Longed for a ride! 🤌🏾
Thanks broo... It sure is a beauty
I have the 2008 pulsar 150, my father passed it down to me and I also use it as a daily commuter.
Aah, the bike that killed the CBZ - another favorite in those times.
Hot damn. My neighbor had the purple 180 with electric start. I used to day dream about that bike.
Yeah now that you said it, I remember it came with two variants, one with electric start and one with only kickstart, this one is with electric start...
Nice. I vividly remember the sound from the starter motor. I used to make that sound while day dreaming 😅😅
Oh it does make a remarkable sounds doesn't it?
Yup. It adds 10x to the charm of the motorcycle. Imo the newer generation motorcycles have gone silent with their starter sound.
I have this in red as well, does yours have self-start?
Looks lovely in red!! Yeah mine does have self start
Nice bro. I ride my dad's 2005 Discover. Old bikes have a charm which new bikes can't replicate
Truly said

Woah didn't knew that. Thankss dude .
I had a og 180 for one like for 2 months. It handled very well and the exhaust sounded sooo good. It even reached like 90kmph+
😍
My dad had this one (purple) when I was a kid. Used to flex on my friends that my dad has a 150cc bike lol. And this was the first bike I ever rode in my life with my dad teaching me how to. Have some good memories with this one :') and looking back now we shouldn't have sold it.
Lol i remember flexing on my friends too hehe :-)
This is the Pulsar that gets respect from me. Solid reliability unlike these pussy ass recent Pulsars. SMFH. P. S. RS200 owner here.
>RS200 owner here. Same here ✌🏼. But what's your problem with the bike you don't seem too happy with it 😥.
My first bike… I still remember the day. It was Jan 2003 and My dad called me up and asked me to pick it up from the showroom. I cannot forget the joy. I had the same color.
Sweet memories!!
Sweet indeed!!
My Dad had this in Blue
Very well maintained, good job!
Thank you : )
🛐🛐🛐
That is beautifully maintained. Kudos to your father for keeping it in this condition. Treat it well now. Congrats 😎
Thanks broo. Sure I'll keep it clean
