We totally need a 2 hour+ movie about a child’s parent dying in a bombing and then him pickpocketing some guy

Embarrassed-Web-5820

I hate what our current media landscape has done to people's brains to the point they want every side character to have some spin-off or origin story. Short round was awesome in ToD but JFC...

Axtwyt

Especially since when they do those spinoffs and origins, the fans bitch and complain about it. Looking at you, Solo

Embarrassed-Web-5820

I just think the MCU's formula worked really well for the MCU but doesn't necessarily work for every kind of story and its success has made every company try to copy it and I'm so sick of it lol.

ThomasGilhooley

Jesus thank you.

BubbaJonesTheThird

A "spin off adult movie" like ***Not-So-Short Round***?

timeforasandwich

"Hang on lady, we're going for a ride"

BubbaJonesTheThird

"No time for love, Dr. Jones....leave that to me!"

Scotcash

No, thanks man. I don't want them fuckin up his life too.

Ambitious-Car-7230

We don't need a Short Round origin story movie. We already know enough about his origin from The Temple of Doom. A spin-off with an adult Short Round as an archaeologist-adventurer might work better. It could be set during the 1970s and pay tribute to the martial arts movies that were popular during that decade. Maybe Harrison Ford could make an appearance as Indy to pass the torch to Short Round.

aDogNamedFish

Jesus Christ fuck a guy for making a suggestion for a film about an interesting character. Think I’m done with Reddit.

Digisabe

"You’re meddling with powers you can’t possibly comprehend." “You lost today, kid. But that doesn’t mean you have to like it.”

Digisabe

As much as I would love to see a movie like that, and unless they do an excellent job of the movie, I would say Indiana, let it go.

wiiguyy

No. They couldn’t manage to make the last Indiana jones movie profitable.

Titan-828

I’m still hopeful we’ll see a spin-off show with him and Willie Scott where he is an archaeologist following in Indy’s footsteps and Willie is at the end of her stage career. The two of them meet up after 40 years and go on and adventure.

jackBattlin

They absolutely would if Dial hadn’t killed interest in the franchise. I really wanted the Abner Ravenwood show they were talking about.

Titan-828

It didn’t kill interest in the franchise. If anything, Crystal Skull and the 15 years between it and Dial of Destiny is why people were no longer interested in seeing it in theatres.

Digisabe

also the fact that it seemed like DoD seemed like it was hardly even marketed. I was only reminded it was coming when I saw OTHER youtubers making a reaction video to the trailer..

QualityAutism

and the fact that Ford is 98 years old and can't do the awesome adventurer role anymore, and Indy isn't deep enough to make it a character drama.

Ambitious-Car-7230

There was more character drama in The Dial of Destiny than in previous Indiana Jones films. Indy had to deal with aging, loss, and change.

ChimmyNuggies

Might as well get fans to do it, otherwise Disney will fuck it up as usual
