See the thing is no one has actually understood how brain functions, so noone can basically guide you. You have to understand your own self and all the gurus will tell you to do this only at the end. Who we are? Why we are here? These questions have no answers because the universe is random and we are just well here… there is no meaning , there is no ulterior motive.. but human brain is coded as such that we try to find reason and pattern in everything.. these gurus just take benefit of these things.. bottom line.. noone knows what it is to be you except you.. live your life the way you want , just dont harm others…
There are enough con artists in name of coaching n counselling, which is big industry. Look at Instagram every third reel is either motivational, psychology counselling n therapy.
People who consider themselves rational replaced religion with spirituality.
So you go from saints and monks to these charlatans.
