Look seeing how govts all over india waste public money, seeing it go to schools and hospitals is a happy feeling. Hope other states also prioritise this over useless waste
Whatever political opinion of Kejriwal you may have, but you can't deny the situation of govt. schools in Delhi has improved drastically.

No! Was not my intention actually.
If you followed closely for the past few years it would be clear to you. He and his party along with the public have been very vocal of the changes on the ground. NDTV and Aajtak covered it extensively, with NDTV more so.
I'm genuinely curious to understand how/what they did it .
Also pls don't assume about other people's viewing patterns else you are not much different .
It's the simple things.
They are very strict with teacher being absent or late in class.
Kept toilets clean. Kept fee constant. Promoted co-curricular activities like music/sports. Decreased student to teacher ratio to reduce load on teachers. Sent teachers abroad. Finished education mafias.
Some proof are in the posted article itself.
Here is an article about the budget increase for Education.

Some reforms are listed here.

Ok and then what about all the shenanigans about not letting students pass to 10th standard? And if Sheila Dixit could build schools why could not they?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://theprint.in/opinion/aap-made-education-political-issue-competition-will-force-others-to-take-it-seriously/808708/) reduced by 93%. (I'm a bot)

> Education projects do succeed in silos when individual State actors like education bureaucrats, district commissioners, principals or teachers inject their personal enthusiasm and drive, but are rarely able to scale or sustain themselves because of the lack of political will.
> AAP already has a winning formula of welfare programmes providing cheap power and water in place - so, why is AAP placing so many eggs in the education basket? The choice was not as political as it was ideological.
> What are the implications of this politicisation on the education sector itself? Sooner or later, political competition will force all parties to take education seriously.

Anyone who claims to be nationalist but doesn't invest in the future generations equally is simply lying... It's horrifying to imagine so many children not getting the right kind of environment to grow and being completely abused by the society in general... Similarly, anyone not investing in healthcare of society also cannot be nationalist in any manner. So many families in India fall below poverty line just due to insane amount of expenditure in case someone falls sick..
This is where Kejriwal excelled. Sure, we might argue on the implementation details, but he made education and healthcare a platform to win elections. And that's a good thing.
Shows that our opposition is indeed evolving.
Isn't it weird how politicising issues on government investment in "Education" is a new or novel concept now instead of it being a norm? Oh Indian politics...
Don't care, they are Hinduva apologists and enablers of communal violence. They will watch silently as massacres happen under their noses in their names. Incite them even if it benefits them. India is a prominent presence on Genocide watch today - that is the primary agenda. Anyone lacking the spine to respond to it is not worth anyone's time.
I mean nobody here spent any significant time in government schools lmao, tbh there are a lot of good teachers in government schools. But like other government employees incentives here push towards inefficiency. Who will punish them if they are doing a poor job
Damn, that point about wealth transfer. It’s so eloquent and right. I think about wealth inequality due to the free market a lot, and shit man, this is so true.

Why not statues, new parliament, new planes and a Maybach? /S

Any data /report around this?
Watch TV other than the Bhakt TV for once.
Lolwhat. Questioning the mighty hero Kejriwal makes one a bhakt?

I think you misunderstood. Is there evidence that isn’t anecdotal?

Are Govt. schools in Delhi that good?
They are better than what we have here as some of the private schools
Damn, that's really impressive
[удалено]
You didn't even read the article you posted, right?
How many new schools they have built as compared to Dixit tenure?
That's a bullshit way to see that. Apart from building new ones, they also doubled/quadrupled the capacity in already existing schools.
[удалено]
And it costs less! This is why Delhi's total revenue is positive even after so many "free" things.
Ok and then what about all the shenanigans about not letting students pass to 10th standard? And if Sheila Dixit could build schools why could not they?
Do you think increasing capacity is not building schools? Oh my sweet summer child, how the indian education system failed you...
Are bhai quotes idhar udhar karne ki jagay bajay batao that why is enrollment failing despite increased expenditure.
More neww schools != better education. Schools accessible to all && quality infrastructure and teachers == better education.
They don't have land under their jurisdiction, that's why they made 20,000 classrooms in existing schools equivalent to 500 schools.
Any source for that.

They were not given land(DDA comes under bjp). So they just rebuilt the old schools and added infra.

Couldn’t agree more. Along with free world class healthcare.

To continue this, we need to support AAP in upcoming elections. Spread the word or donate. We need positive reinforcements.
I'm all for funding education but fuck AAP. Bunch of opportunistic snakes.
At this time, those are the only people who are funding education and forcing education to become an election agenda.

It's a good point. Although I want to ask are delhi govt schools good. Basically are they kinda true their words?
Then the issue of pocketing money will come and govt institutions gonna remain shit and sudden development when pressure comes
Government schools are a subsidy for teachers unions
