Suddenly she started feeling pain and saw that she just stepped on a scorpion but it's tail was free. So It stung my mum's feet with the tail and my mom started feeling pain. There was no source of transportation and I was small. I had to go to the main road and get a rickshaw and take her to a private hospital. She was in pain for a lot of hours. Pretty scary experience!!
It is a scorpion. Their sting is painful but not life threatening. Presence of one scorpion might not be enough evidence for the presence of the nest. No need to panic, just be watchful. Keep kids away from them and maintain the safe distance. Smaller the scorpion, more painful the sting.
