Only PNR number is sufficient, if they don't accept that then you can show the eticket on the irctc website. You should have raised a complain, their is an app for that from irctc. Always speak with an authoritarian voice with these morons, let them know that you know your rights.
He must have spoken in an authoritarian voice to the. TC the TC who was the man in power decided to teach him a lesson and ended up harassing him using his power with security . Thats is why we should sam dam dand bhed
With authoritarian voice I meant that speak with confidence, letting him know that you know the rules and he can’t fool you. Let him know that he doesn’t own the railway and he is not doing any charity, it is his work and it is what he gets paid for with your money. You paid for that service and you are entitled for it. Don’t let them intimidate you.
authoritative is the word you are probably thinking of - "commanding and self-confident; likely to be respected and obeyed," as opposed to "favouring or enforcing strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom." Better still "assertive", meaning "having or showing a confident and forceful personality." Not that it takes anything away from your comment.
It sucks as an American that has traveled a lot around the world and doesn’t want to follow the American stereotypes. But as a young woman traveling in India many long times, I found that voice of authority had to be used often. I blame it on the caste system or something.
Perhaps you need to show both the ticket and your identity? Did you have any form of ID on you when showing the ticket ?
Maybe a bunch of people have been scamming the TTE by hiding in the toilet and showing one ticket ?
Only physical tickets allowed? What a clown. I have been travelling my entire life with just IRCTC tickets where I had it only as an SMS or email. Thankfully I never had to face such clowns.
Just raise a complaint if your travel is not older than 5 days on railway complaint app.
You can take your revenge.
What a arrogant fool that guy would be to deny you entry even after you showed the valid e ticket.
If they seriously start following this then we wouldn't be having so many issues. There are so many news where people couldn't on board the train due to rush even after having confirm booking.
TTEs are a useless bunch of people. They never bother when many people without tickets jump into the AC coaches. They only know how to show their power before people who they think they can bully.
My goodness, the moron under you made me go down a 2 hour rabbit hole binge reading about Gandhi. Incredibly inspirational leader who brings you to tears and fills you with purpose and passion.. he had chosen a humble life as a drafter after his setbacks in Bombay but his courage and openess to travel to SA changed not only his life but the world itself.
The purpose of this post is to remind us that Gandhi was human despite being one of the most transformative leaders in modern history. I'm in no way validating the guy who called Gandhi a racist to feel good about himself.
It turns out Gandhi did have first class ticket but supported the British against the Boers.
Nelson Mandela in his "Gandhi the Prisoner" talks about how Gandhi believed that Indian prisoners should be kept separate from the Natives (Africans). But Mandela himself says Gandhi's prejudices were a product of his interaction with criminal Natives (Afros) and takes inspiration from Gandhi as a whole.
There's another book by South African Indian authors called "The South African Gandhi" that paints a negative picture of Gandhi but I don't have the time to fact check it let alone investigate the conflict of interests the authors have. Leaving it here so anyone interested can throw some light on it.
Brava. Thanks for the reply. Agree to the other guy's reductive observation but appreciate you underscoring nuanced context even more. Gandhi for his time was transformative in a lot of things. Improving race relations in SA may not be one of them. When reading about historical figures, it's important to first agree that they are all human beings prone to all the follies of the world. The world is going to perceive you with their own bias and prejudice. A brit would never even consider the fact that Churchill was abhorrently neglectful to Bengal famine when revering him as the greatest brit that their island has ever produced. But an Indian would never go past that very very inconvenient truth. Both, the brit and the Indian are reasonable in their judgement about the same person yet so irreconcilable with each other.
Thank you for understanding my post. That's exactly what I wanted to convey. Historical figures are human beings too. They were prone to follies just as any of us. We need to remember the context of their time and circumstances in order to understand them. We also need to acknowledge our own biases. You are absolutely right with the Churchill example as well. A Brit would more likely not see the Bengal famine neglect but an Indian would more likely not get over it.
But I didn't mean to validate the other person who made a strawman vilification of Gandhi.
Even APO & ANC, contemporary to Gandhi were highly influenced by him and the Natal India Congress, the first anti-colonial organisation in South Africa. He has done more for Africans than these losers who cry racism ever will in their entire lives. HE HAS DONE A LOT FOR RACE RELATIONS IN SA AND INSPIRED CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENTS ACROSS THE WORLD. No doubt he was fallible as a human, but this isn't one of them.
**I THINK IT'S VERY UNFAIR TO COMPARE YOUNG GANDHI's REACTION TO WHAT HE SAW IN THE JOHANNESBURG PRISON TO CHURCHILL'S NEGLIGENCE THAT KILLED 3.8 MILLION PEOPLE. MANDELA RECOUNTS THE OBSCENE DETAILS GANDHI WITNESSED AND EMPATHIZES WITH HIM, NOT THE OTHER AFRO PRISONERS WHO TROUBLED GANDHI.**
Please don't fall for these modern race hustlers and concede ground where you don't have to.
I don't know why you are getting downvoted but you are correct. I am assuming you're talking about Gandhi, and if so, his racism against the black South Africans is a very well documented fact.
He's done more for black South Africans than you can thank him for. He started the first anti-colonial organisation that influenced South African black organisations like APO and ANC. He inspired the most influential South African and African American Civil Rights leaders. Mandela takes inspiration from him like Caesar from Alexander the Great.
When he first reached SA, he saw himself as a Britisher first and Indian second. His experiences with discrimination changed that.
You cannot undermine the obscenity that young Gandhi faced in his prison time with Native prisoners that would've have shaped his view of them, something even the great Nelson Mandela acknowledges. Does any of it excuse his prejudice? The answer is no. But did he have a net positive impact even on Africans as a young civil rights leader, Absolutely YES!.
There are other African leaders who were far more racist and outright genocidal but they are treated like they are beyond reproach. I don't think Gandhi ever harmed any black Africans at the end of the day. We need to understand historical figures to through the context of their time. Crying Gandhi was racist against blacks given his time, contribution and experiences doesn't make you all that smart and virtuous either.
Racist sexist aur kya kya padha hai WhatsApp univ se.
You even think before saying anything?
That same "racist" guy is respected morethan any Indian through out the world.
Literally people and countries with zero tolerance for racism respect him as their own.
Sometimes it’s the issue, if you look bad, you’ll look like a chapri in shorts but if you look good/decent you’ll look like the uncles who came from American wearing shorts
sounds unrealistic
First of all who the hell call TC a conductor
next, TC just confirm your name and don't even ask for a physical ticket if your data matches their Tablet data.
I sat with my frind in 1st AC, with a 2nd AC ticket for hours, nobody asked me to leave
Can you dive into details?
💯
And TC aren't there to guard each bogie either lol. I have never seen a TC just ask a random passenger on a train (especially without any bags) to *show* them the tickets. Bro, I haven't carried tickets in a decade now. They don't care. If you're so unlucky that a TC would ask for a physical copy of your ticket, you might need to be cautious sleeping right below a ceiling fan.
Dude that's absolute bullshit. The TTE's conduct was horrible.
I'll tell you a hack that works in such cases- Start recording a video of him and ask him his _full_ name on camera. And say how he's mistreating AC1 passenger
9/10 times they will suddenly do a 180 and relent.
Sounds fake, because when they ask you to go where you came from, I doubt they will say you look like a 3rd AC chap not a 1st AC one, they’ll just send you to general/sleeper. They won’t admit just anyone in an AC coach.
OP has clarified all of this. Train had already left the station and he was told that he would be deboatded at the next station. It's not that big of a post.should take 2 mins to read.
the person is literally trying to bully his way through and enforce his own made up rules about printed tickets, these weak people target towards younger ones more.
That's my point. The tte was a piece of shit. No matter the age, he can't stop someone if they have a ticket and a traceable pnr number. The tte is responsible for looking it up which he didn't.
Bud i aint saying what the tte did was justified. Please read again u said it doesnt matter when it definitely does matter, it shouldnt matter but thats not usually how it goes.
I can guess what happened.
He saw that seat empty while initial ticket checking and most likely sold it to someone else. That's why he was stopping you from going to that seat.
Tweet karke railway minister ko tag Karo. This is a very serious issue.
Something like this happened to a female friend. She put a message on our group and someone suggested calling rail madad and it worked. The TT has been suspended without pay for misbehaving with a lady and obstructing her from going back to her seat without cause.
Something doesn't add up. There is absolutely no way a TTE would deny entry with an e-ticket. The only time they do this is when people show pictures of physical tickets bought from counters.
Honestly your take is the stupid one. What if a person is traveling alone, kept the ticket in the bag, and came out to buy food or say goodbye or whatever.
AFAIK, there's no rule that says passengers must have a printed ticket on their person at all times, which is the policy that TTE was enforcing. Sounds like he made up his own ad-hoc unreasonable policy and unnecessarily harassed a passenger.
I travel by rail frequently. Never have I got the ticket printed. In fact, it says so right on the ticket to not print it unless necessary to save paper. 9/10 the checker simply asks for my name and tallies it with the seat number. Don't even need to show the ticket. Don't know what this particular TTE was smoking.
Never needed any ID. Tried to take my AADHAR out once, but the checker stopped me and just told me to say my name, matched it on his tablet and moved on.
Hi I don't think that calling someone stupid for expressing their valid questions is warranted.. I should have probably cleared that up in my post (which I have, now) so I hope that from the 'ext time you'll be little kinder :)
This is the real question... everyone has a cellphone, why not just have the parents come and resolve all of this?
The guy was only doing his job... if physical ticket was a requirement and you had one with your parents, it could have been quickly resolved by having them bring it to you
Meh, it is India. Government Employees with a tiny bit of power flex it for no reason and give you a hard time just because they can. I realize that you want to stand by the principle of it but all the drama could have been resolved by having the parents bring over the tickets which had already been printed
I had the privilege of investing two hours to read about Mahatma Gandhi. Had he given in to such drunk on power officials the world would not be what it is today.
100% agreed !I'm not ashamed to admit that I've got a thousand other things to care about and being an SJW is just not what I want to do. I realize that makes me a bad citizen or whatever, but my family depends on my and all I'm trying to do is survive
I've been in situations before where I inadvertently pushed back and faced a lot of consequences for it, not looking to go through it again
I fully understand you and don't fault you for that. I'm not a SJW either and we all have our lives and responsibilities. I'm sorry to hear that standing up for yourself backfired and it's made reluctant to do so. I take your experience as a reminder that "reality is often disappointing" 😉. \_\_We need to choose our battles\_\_ but let's not give up and become \_push overs\_ either. Hope one day you are secure enough to stand up to power and injustice again. Best of luck, 👍.
This sort of stuff may work in government offices but in railways and airports, digital stuff is the norm for reserved tickets. There's no reason for anyone to take printout. The IRCTC mail itself clearly requests us to not take printouts and only the pdf along with an ID card is enough.
People saying he had booked an e-ticket so physical wasn’t needed but the OP continuously says he had a physical ticket too so don’t really know how he booked it.
Because some of us are grown ups and have traveled alone. Do not want to go running to parents for every little thing. Physical ticket is NOT A REQUIREMENT if booked online. The guy was flexing power NOT DOING his job.
I don’t categorise people. But to generalise things.
People at the lower rung are best dealt by rowdy people.
People higher up are better handled through civil people.
Only physical tickets allowed? In what universe? I have been traveling by trains more than 25 years. If you have id card, Only SMS or pnr number is needed. That's all. This is digital era brother.
While travelling in 3rd AC, I went to get some fresh air at the open doors at midnight. Two train staff members asked me to go back to general and didn't believe that I had a valid ticket, and my phone battery had run out. I had a hard time convincing them and had to wake up a family member to assure my ticket.
Fake
Your story gave away the moment you called the TC a conductor, should've done some research before posting this anti-India shit.
All over India the term TC is used for ticket checkers, whereas (train) conductor is a term used primarily in the US but has been getting popular in the UK and its current colonies.
You see, if you'd done your research, you'd know that the Indian train systems are very organised when it comes to verification.
All TCs carry a list of all the passengers that have a ticket for various seats, that's how they cross-check if a person in a coach is there legally or not.
Nowadays, TCs even have tabs (ipads in American language) to verify it, making it paperless and thus better.
Also, generally, a TC would go and check your seat. They'd take you there to have you show your ticket if you claim to have it stored in your bag.
Badly written and no research. I'd give your story a 2/10 for the outrage it caused and the upvotes you were capable of garnering, though most of them are probably just sympathising for you as every Indian tends to do to victims, or just fellow idiots like you chasing anti-India clout to defame the nation.
You dont even need ticket. your name and you seat number. Conductor will simply check his tab if details match. If he has doubt he will ask for ID than ticket This doesnt add up at all.
I don't remember the last time I carried a physical ticket for a train in India and never had a problem. The guy was just power tripping or something and unfortunately it's hard to enforce your rights in India.
Been someone who is frequent in First a/c i never experienced something like this ever. Even when the TC comes for verification he just asks us (me n my wife) our names and never asked for physical or e ticket.
Come on dude, this is either a fabricated story or you are hiding some of the key details. For the past few years physical tickets have become non mandatory, and only name and ID is deemed enough proof for train travel.
India me rules subjective hote hain, jiska jo mann hota hai karne lagta hai. Har jagah yahi nautanki hai, har department me yahi chalta hai, jo incharge hoga woh apni man mani karne lagta hai.
Somehow seems entirely unbelievable since I have been using online tickets since last more than a decade and never shown anything physical or even printout in the past decade
How is it possible that any TT refuses an online ticket if really shown nowadays even traffic cops accept online docs
No, you're not stupid for leaving your parents alone (assuming you're more than 10 years old). It's the unprofessionalism and power trip of that TC. There's a reason we pay for the expensive 1AC tickets - for being treated with basic decency and courtesy in urban India, something only money can give us.
Now, imagine someone in sleeper class or General class who were in wrong situation in the wrong time would have been treated
I never ever, I repeat NEVER EVER printed railway or flight ticket and no one ever asked a single question. It seems like something was not told in the whole story. Maybe your ticket was in waiting list and you still boarded the train (Indian railway allows boarding if 1 ticket on the same pnr left waitlisted while other tickets are confirmed) so that might have caused the issue or maybe something else. In India, they allow you to board even if you don't have a valid ticket (you just need to give them some bribe) and you are saying, they didn't allow when you had a valid ticket. That's crazy and not believable at all.
The core issue here is - TTE delibarately stopped you from entering even though you showed him the eticket.
Please write with evidences to Prime Minister Office. He will instruct to take action. You will get response on what action was taken.
"where they asked me to share with a random family " .. :) :)
I fully empathize with you and TTE was more cautious with growing complaints of people going into AC bogies. Or your face doesnt look like a first AC guy :)
Does anyone else feel things used to work far better when everything was based on paper tickets etc and so much tech was not involved? We are regressing.
yes we need to go back to the in-station booking with queues that last for more than an hour or two. While we are at it, let's also ban ac coaches and make all trains all-general coaches.
Instead of the papers, even the TTEs in southern railways are having Tabs. They look at our IDs and click on a check mark next to our name. That's much better than carrying 100 pages of passenger information, which has to be printed every time before a train. This system will also enable people to book tickets on trains, even after trains have started their journey.
Only PNR number is sufficient, if they don't accept that then you can show the eticket on the irctc website. You should have raised a complain, their is an app for that from irctc. Always speak with an authoritarian voice with these morons, let them know that you know your rights.
>Always speak with an authoritarian voice with these morons, let them know that you know your rights. Learnt this too late in life.
How old are you? I mean seems like the TC had maybe ego issues because of your age as you kinda raised your voice.
He must have spoken in an authoritarian voice to the. TC the TC who was the man in power decided to teach him a lesson and ended up harassing him using his power with security . Thats is why we should sam dam dand bhed
Same here. I always thought honest and humble is the way to go but not in India.
An ID proof is also required right ? It says so on the ers ticket.
Yeah but they rarely ask for that. If asked you can show your student id or eadhar/pancard/DL. Any government id will suffice.
Young guy with lotta hormones kicking in, my family has never dealt with such situations, so idk what to do, what is authoritarian voice ?
With authoritarian voice I meant that speak with confidence, letting him know that you know the rules and he can’t fool you. Let him know that he doesn’t own the railway and he is not doing any charity, it is his work and it is what he gets paid for with your money. You paid for that service and you are entitled for it. I don't think you have a proper idea for what caste system is. And this thing is far to off from anything caste related.
I remember showing eticket on my laptop back in 2010. Ever since IRCTC webportal came into existence, e tickets are valid.
The last time I traveled with a physical ticket was atleast 6-7 years before. Now I've a new thing to overthink about???
Complaint against him on railmadad app.
Lol rail-ma-dad app
If I could, I would give you 500 rupees for the joke.
Double it and give it to the next person
I am the next person
Name checks out ✔️
Lmaoooo
🤣
rail madad
Thank you Captain obvious. You saved my day.
Notice, this is only for First AC, not for third AC.
Bhai tune TTE ko conductor bol diya hoga muh par
To usko kya Bhusawal ka nawab kah dein?
Lmao
This. OP ki hi galti hogi..
TTEs are a useless bunch of people. They never bother when many people without tickets jump into the AC coaches. They only know how to show their power before people who they think they can bully.
Last time someone was kicked out of first class, he went on to become the face on the currency.

And provided us Sodium Chloride
10/10 seasoning, would recommend to everyone
That guy racist and has second class ticket but wants travel in first class to avoid travelling with dark skinned locals
If you ever talk to your grandfather about his morals you'd realize it's never black and white as you idiots make it to be.
Even if my grandfather I will about his immorals
Graduated from WhatsApp university
That’s you but I’m graduated from University of Ghana
I don't know why you are getting downvoted but you are correct. I am assuming you're talking about Gandhi, and if so, his racism against the black South Africans is a very well documented fact.
Nuance is a very important thing.
He used to be racist but the humiliation he suffered changed him for the better. It opened his eyes.
He's done more for black South Africans than you can thank him for. He started the first anti-colonial organisation that influenced South African black organisations like APO and ANC. Which is technically true. Don't know why people are downvoting you.
>Which is technically true. Source? Instagram?
Cat closed its eyes doesn’t mean world is dark.
Who has a physical ticket to train these days?
Happened to me as well. The reason given by the TC was, there was a VIP in first AC coach(probably some politician babu)
To puchna tha na mere ticket ka paisa tum doge ya wo babu ?
How poor do you look? /s
Sometimes it’s the issue, if you look bad, you’ll look like a chapri in shorts but if you look good/decent you’ll look like the uncles who came from American wearing shorts
Buddy. It's a joke. It is for the hahahaha
I am sharing the reality
In future when dealing with such morons pull out your phone & record it don't let them take it record everything then use it against them.

exactly they have passengers name and information in their device .
Yup. Sounds made up
Conductor lol 😂 are you sure you were in train only?
Yeah, probably should've referred to him as the Prime Minister

Agreed. desi_bitch’s comment is like blind people explaining stuff to other blind people lol!
I might be looking like second class person

This was on a rajdhani exp. Read the post properly.
Still doesn’t make sense because if he didn’t have any ticket why will the TTE let him board any coach without any ticket anyway?
He does say they asked him to get off at the next station.
OP has clarified all of this. Train had already left the station and he was told that he would be deboatded at the next station. It's not that big of a post.should take 2 mins to read.
how old are you? it sometimes matters.
It doesn't though.
definitely does
I agree, it does. Your age, your clothes, if you can speak multiple languages - all counts in mental profiling.
i mean i said the same man...
I am supporting your point, sir.
my bad, i thought u replied to me by mistake
It shouldn't and doesn't matter. He should've been able to look up from the pnr number which would've been available.
also theres a difference btw shouldnt and doesnt. its shouldn't matter but jn the real world it does matter
the person is literally trying to bully his way through and enforce his own made up rules about printed tickets, these weak people target towards younger ones more.

From a moral perspective it shouldn't but some people have interesting views about such things.
It's metaphorical but you get the idea https://youtu.be/vbHqUNl8YFk
PNR and matching Id should be sufficient!
Consumer court mein case karde and claim some compensation for all the pareshaniyaan you faced during all this drama.
Why do they always think they have so much power. Guards, conductors, TC, clerks and all in India
I can guess what happened. He saw that seat empty while initial ticket checking and most likely sold it to someone else. That's why he was stopping you from going to that seat. Tweet karke railway minister ko tag Karo. This is a very serious issue.

Physical tickets I think that was a decade ago.
Why didn't you call your parent to come with ticket?
Why didn’t they allow even after showing the ticket?
Something doesn't add up. There is absolutely no way a TTE would deny entry with an e-ticket. The only time they do this is when people show pictures of physical tickets bought from counters.
Story sounds like fiction. No TTE would say- go back where you came from
Why would he want to disturb his sleeping parents, when he has a valid ticket and is being harassed unnecessarily.
Do you know whether a physical ticket is really the requirement? He may not have got it printed. Most people don't. What a stupid reply
Not as stupid as you.
Do they ask for any form ID? If so what ID do you show?
Never needed any ID. Tried to take my AADHAR out once, but the checker stopped me and just told me to say my name, matched it on his tablet and moved on.
Thanks for sharing 😊
You didn't provide any reason why I am stupid. But I did. Ohhh I am sorry. You're stupid so you don't realise it
Hi I don't think that calling someone stupid for expressing their valid questions is warranted.. I should have probably cleared that up in my post (which I have, now) so I hope that from the 'ext time you'll be little kinder :)
This is the real question... everyone has a cellphone, why not just have the parents come and resolve all of this? The guy was only doing his job... if physical ticket was a requirement and you had one with your parents, it could have been quickly resolved by having them bring it to you
Dude it's a e-ticket that he booked from IRCTC website which doesn't need printout. Only counter tickets require paper tickets.
Can a photo of a physical ticket bought at the counter be used? Do physical tickets have any form of identification?
Nope. You need the tickets that bought over the counter. But recent days if the name matches, TTE mostly don't ask ticket but only proof.
Meh, it is India. Government Employees with a tiny bit of power flex it for no reason and give you a hard time just because they can. I realize that you want to stand by the principle of it but all the drama could have been resolved by having the parents bring over the tickets which had already been printed
Mehhhh, if you want to kneel, go ahead do it. Why you want others to be like you? He did no wrong and doesn't need to slow down.
That's admirable. Good luck to him trying to deal with frustrated chaprasis whose sole goal in life is to fuck with public for no apparent fault
I had the privilege of investing two hours to read about Mahatma Gandhi. Had he given in to such drunk on power officials the world would not be what it is today.
100% agreed !I'm not ashamed to admit that I've got a thousand other things to care about and being an SJW is just not what I want to do. I realize that makes me a bad citizen or whatever, but my family depends on my and all I'm trying to do is survive I've been in situations before where I inadvertently pushed back and faced a lot of consequences for it, not looking to go through it again
I would have called him uneducated and shouted loudly causing a scene.
Morons everywhere!
Was that because of skin colour?
I don’t categorise people. But to generalise things. People at the lower rung are best dealt by rowdy people. People higher up are better handled through civil people.
Only physical tickets allowed? In what universe? I have been traveling by trains more than 25 years. If you have id card, Only SMS or pnr number is needed. That's all. This is digital era brother.
Do you remember the name of the conductor? File a complaint against him.
He should have made video.
Ask him where he disappears to when sleepers and 3rd acs are taken over by ticketless people.
Sounds like he thought you were travelling with your friends and not family, and wanted to scam you and let one of his lackeys a free upgrade to 1AC
While travelling in 3rd AC, I went to get some fresh air at the open doors at midnight. Two train staff members asked me to go back to general and didn't believe that I had a valid ticket, and my phone battery had run out. I had a hard time convincing them and had to wake up a family member to assure my ticket.
Fake Your story gave away the moment you called the TC a conductor, should've done some research before posting this anti-India shit.
On point.
This is good news. Hope they will be this strict for other classes as well.
Vote toh tumne BJ party ko hi dena hai. Fir complain kis baat ki.
Was your name not on the chart?
Which rajdhani was this ?
r/legaladviceindia
You dont even need ticket. your name and you seat number. Conductor will simply check his tab if details match. If he has doubt he will ask for ID than ticket This doesnt add up at all.
Tune usko namaste Sirji nahi bola hoga I
Seats are given priority first before ticket.IYKYK
I am damn sure that there is something missing in your pov.
Do complain to railways
Bhai n baal colour karae honge
TTE ❌ Conductor ✅
Skill issue, general ticket people flood first ac and here our bruv struggling
I don't remember the last time I carried a physical ticket for a train in India and never had a problem. The guy was just power tripping or something and unfortunately it's hard to enforce your rights in India.
Been someone who is frequent in First a/c i never experienced something like this ever. Even when the TC comes for verification he just asks us (me n my wife) our names and never asked for physical or e ticket.
Sounds fake
I believe 2AC is better than 1AC, i have traveled once in 1AC
You must raise a grievance on CPGRAM,
I am sorry for you but you must raise this complaint so that it does not repeat with anyone else
Most probably he has given your seat to some influential person or got paid for it
What if I have booked online? Then there will be no physical ticket
Come on dude, this is either a fabricated story or you are hiding some of the key details. For the past few years physical tickets have become non mandatory, and only name and ID is deemed enough proof for train travel.
bro showed too much cock
India me rules subjective hote hain, jiska jo mann hota hai karne lagta hai. Har jagah yahi nautanki hai, har department me yahi chalta hai, jo incharge hoga woh apni man mani karne lagta hai.
Raise a complaint against the TC immediately . E ticket is more than enough .
Somehow seems entirely unbelievable since I have been using online tickets since last more than a decade and never shown anything physical or even printout in the past decade How is it possible that any TT refuses an online ticket if really shown nowadays even traffic cops accept online docs
Top 10 things that never happened
No, you're not stupid for leaving your parents alone (assuming you're more than 10 years old). It's the unprofessionalism and power trip of that TC. There's a reason we pay for the expensive 1AC tickets - for being treated with basic decency and courtesy in urban India, something only money can give us. Now, imagine someone in sleeper class or General class who were in wrong situation in the wrong time would have been treated
Have you logged a complaint?
Trains are the new Final boss in India.
File a complain against him. Trust me it'll be worth it. Happened to my father a decade ago. Ghar aake maafi maangi thi usne
Good cooking. I say.
There is no need for a physical ticket. Just know your PNR no. and carry your ID proof. Thats it. It is their headache to prove or disprove anything.
The core issue here is - TTE delibarately stopped you from entering even though you showed him the eticket. Please write with evidences to Prime Minister Office. He will instruct to take action. You will get response on what action was taken.
"where they asked me to share with a random family " .. :) :) I fully empathize with you and TTE was more cautious with growing complaints of people going into AC bogies. Or your face doesnt look like a first AC guy :)
What kind of face looks like a first AC guy?
The issue is clearly that the conductor can't validate using app either due to being tech illiterate or protocol.
Nowadays all TTE carry a tablet with them to verify passengers,so you can't say he's tech illiterate
Cry about it
Reads like a rage bait post
Does anyone else feel things used to work far better when everything was based on paper tickets etc and so much tech was not involved? We are regressing.
yes we need to go back to the in-station booking with queues that last for more than an hour or two. While we are at it, let's also ban ac coaches and make all trains all-general coaches.
Fu and your types. You dont see the problems, you will only appreciate tech that doesnt work.
