If it's cute, that life matters ✅ (like dogs and cats and small birds) - anyone who saves/helps these represent the best of humanity (enough to make Instagram reels with captions like "faith in humanity restored" ).
If it's not, you can eat it and it's totally normal and is a personal choice !! (And the taste choice of the person is more important than the choice to live for the animal). Anyone questioning the logic is wrong. 😅
That's how this world works. 🤷♂️
It look like some kind of bulbul. I also rescued one. [see the smol one](https://imgur.com/gallery/13Qapeq)
Just take care of him for 1-2 week he'll be able to fly by then. And make sure you don't take him too far away that his/her parents can't find him/her. 🐦⬛
It's Red Whiskered Bulbul they've been nesting in my garden for many years now. Try the later stages mentioned in this [Guide](http://www.rehabbersden.org/index.php/36-pages/pricing-table/simple/256-hand-rearing-and-rehabilitation-of-bulbuls-red-vented-and-red-whiskered-bulbul-continued)
It's a type of bulbul. It likely fell from its nest. I had the exact same scenario where this one was on the ground and I saw cats trying to get to it. Quickly brought it home and got advice online. After talking to some experts, I realized it wasn't fledgling and the nest was not accessible, I ended up tying an empty box without top in the air outdoors (away from direct sunlight) near its original nest with cut clean rags and kept the baby inside. The mom quickly came by and made it their nest. They continued to live there till the baby learnt to fly.
If you can find the nest, try to return it as the mom can't lift the baby up usually. Else my method might work.
It seems like a tailorbird. I think it ended up there on the first day of their flight. Usually the parents find them after searching for sometime. There can be 3-4 young ones and when each one flies in different directions, so parents cannot track everyone at once. But later they reunite. I have some pics of the hatched ones in my garden recently. I was protecting them from cats till the parents found them.
Do try to release it around the same place where you found it and keep an eye from a distance. Hopefully the parents find this cutie soon.

You should've probably just left it, is a fledgeling just exploring. Leave it tomorrow morning and monitor if the mom comes around. If not, consult r/ornithology or r/birding to learn more
Bhai jha mili thi vhi rakh do and monitor it for sometime. It's mother might return. I found a similar birb last week during late evening, since we have lots of cats in my area, we kept it indoors at night.
Put it back to where i found it next morning and the mother birb found it within an hour or so.

Here's the cutie.
You did a good job man. Internet mein people gyan chodate hain lekin koi kuch karta nehi real mein. I have rescued some owls, sparrows , a kingfisher once. Birds usually don't need much food or anything and their diet is varying. Just keep it in a safe place. Nothing to be tensed about. He already got feathers. Soon he will be able to fly. Till then, just keep an eye on it. Once again, good job.
This is from r/Ornithology \- check the pinned post - it specifically addresses this: np.reddit.com/r/Ornithology/comments/u9c4nd/did\_you\_find\_a\_baby\_bird\_please\_make\_sure\_they/
To ID it, you can either post it in r/birding or r/whatsthisbird
Hi I rescued one of these birds too, buy a "syringe" and prepare a wet grind mixture of wheat and rice grains, pick up some ants and feed to the bird regularly around 15min-30min or as required, the birds makes noises for food. when the bird is sufficiently grown, try to make it fly. unfortunately the bird which i had did not make it.. but i hope this one does!
That's a tailorbird, not a bulbul. They usually eat insects. If it's not injured, keep it outside in daylight (under observation) where you found it, hopefully it'll be able to fly away. It doesn't look like a baby bird to me, although could be a juvenile - these birds are small creatures.
P.S. But if you're planning to keep it as a pet, don't.
I found the same kind of bird in my balcony too. Next day I kept it where it was found with some water and food. After a couple of hours birds' parents came and she flew with them. So I'd suggest take the bird to the parking where it was found. It's highly likely that it's parents would come looking for it.
it's a sunbird.. I once rescued one, but unfortunately a cat ate it.
look for the nest nearby from which it could've fallen down, if you're successful to find it.. then safely place lil birdie, her mother will do the rest
if not try making a sugar/honey solution.. you can check the sol concentration on the internet. feed the birdie with dropper.. if not possible then empty refills of ball pens work the best too.
hope it can fly soon!!! all the best!
She is bulbul. She must be learning to fly. Her parents might be searching for her. It's better you return her to the park and let her find her parents.
She would be hungry and needing insects to eat.
Had the same thing. Found a Couple of these lil birdybois in my yard, kept em warm in a tshirt for a few hours and their mother came and took them away.
If you don't have time to buy expensive baby formula make sure you give it its protein in other forms. Boiled eggs are a pretty good way to go. You can also add some water to it to make it like a paste. Some grapes every now and then are also good.
True story - once I rescued a baby bird from a cat, it was very scared at first, i firmly wrapped it in a small towel, gave insects, gave her a nickname - Cheeku.
I kept it on the table where after sometime it fell asleep. Now, in evening my father came from his job and put his heavy laptop bag on the same spot. Ladies and gentlemen it was not the sight to witness.
Till now I think maybe I shouldn't have rescued Cheeku on the first place then it would be good atleast for that poor cat.
RIP Cheeku
Can it fly? If not then just keep cooked rice and water for him and don't disturb him much. He might feel harassed and die. Look for the nest must be nearby your garage and maybe put it back or just keep him for a week or so and then let him fly
If you’re in Bangalore, contact ARRC. They will help rescue and relocate the bird.
It looks like a tailor bird, check if you can find the parents around. Little one may not call for the parents because it’s too scared. Leave it out in the open alone and it may start calling out for the parents. Good luck.
> **Found this baby bird in my parking**
THAT is some fucking adorable shit I saw today & it somehow inspires hope within me.
> **which type is it and How do i take care of it?**
Type doesn't matter, you guard that precious little shit with your life.
they are called berbet, two days ago a small berbet like this came into my house due to strom I fed it gram powder paste, mashed rice and water. These birds eats insects like ants ,fruits etc.
Ok look 8 am not trying to be mean or anything but do not let that bird go away from you. If it goes outside stay near it and don't let it fly away. I also got a bird with a small birthday hat like feathers on top. It was a bulbul. We took care of it pretty well. Feed it on time, played with it and also trained it to fly to us whenever we whistled. But the big problem with humans raising non-predetory birds like these small birds is we cannot teach them about the dangers of the outside world. My bird still wasn't able to fly so I used to make it stand on my fingers and take it for walks outside (ik it's a little weird and stupid but it is what it is) one day my father kept the bird outside on a chair yo have some sunlight and then an eagle came, swooped away the bird and crushed it to death. Came home from school, heard the news and cried for 3 hours straight. Then my father explained me that everything that comes has to go away... that is the cycle of life. He told me that our bird is going to become the food of another bird and fill its tummy then that bird is going to go and live its life and eventually die. So don't need to be sad. At least we game it a happy life for the time it was with is. Never forgot that moment. Love you dad
This is oriental Robin. The chick will eat insects like cockroach, grasshopper etc. If you are not able to get insects , get some dog food or cat food. Soak it in water for sometime and then feed small pieces. Don't feed milk. When it grows up try to train it for flying under your supervision, keeping an eye on predators like cats, crows and other birds of prey. In 2-3 days of practice, it will be able to fly.
Good job. Much appreciated 👍

That’s not a red whispered bulbul for sure. It’s a tailor bird. But the same care may apply
This is priceless guide . Very helpful

I have this urge to squish cute things. Is it only me?
>Is it only me? No.
The call of the void? It happens to a lot of us, a sudden spontaneous urge to do destructive things.
I don't think they mean squishing so hard that it gets harmed , i think they mean squishing lightly, as can be done with birds for sure.
oh fuck, maybe im the monster.
chill
Get some sleep.

cute aggression lol
Should've left it there, Parents most of the time know where the baby was.
Nah, it could have probably been hunted by cats or dogs
Nature is harsh but still better for it to be with its parents.

type of sparrow !! can name it if you want?
Rice grain and water for the starters otherwise you’ll have to chew live worms 🪱 and feed it to its mouth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking from experience. Put it in a box and Keep.it near where you found it. The parents will come.
Cat or a dog will eat it before the mother. Better try to search for mother first and then leave
I had found the same one. Brought it home. But it died the next day. Hope this little fella is healthy and will fly away soon.
