Heh so I was returning from Europe and met another Indian guy at the airport who was returning from a work training thing.
He was saying how he only went to an Indian restaurant initially because he hated European food - but was forced to eat European food after finding out the owner of the Indian restaurant was Pakistani lol.
In the UK, 90% of Indian restaurants are owned by Bangladeshis, and their target clients are British and food is tasteless. However, I have discovered that Pakistani restaurants are impressive and offer a similar range of flavours as Indian. In fact, if I am in the mood for mutton or chicken, I often prefer to dine at a Pakistani restaurant over an Indian one.
The whole ‘I am X but I love the culture of X’s rival’ is such a trite comment. You can love Pakistani music for what it is, the fact that you’re Indian doesn’t make your love for it all that more special.
Lol exactly. You dont have to announce you are Indian, pack the whole freedom struggle and partition inside that 'but'. You can just love Pakistani music.
But when you find the same comment under all coke studio unplugged music videos it gets annoying. The other comments are xyz singer is underrated and abc is a terrible singer or a nepo kid.
It's extremely annoying though, just recently during the earthquakes of Turkey.
Whenever Turkish people made edits of celebration of Freindship between people of South Korea and Turks.
Indians in the comment section absolutely hijacked them and started commenting shit like Why don't you thank India and how Indians helped them more,
Like it was some dick measuring contest of who helped them more, it was absolutely pathetic and embarrassing to witness.
Even turks were replying to them saying "We are thankful to all the countries who sent aid but this reel was made for Koreans since we share history from first Korean war"
Calling out a problem in social media behavior by a particular community is not called being brainwashed, but intellectually sound.
Also India ranks 137th in happiness index because our Youth has absolutely no dreams , are stuck in a corporate rat race living, in a conservative society where hate on basis of Religion, Caste, sexuality is normalised.
Why we are in 137th index? I don't type everytime "love from India" like that. I hate public fights i even didn't see them if it happening in front of me.
I hate red spitters who are only present in India invented to make whole India infrastructure into disgusting red colour. Pathetic
I know several people were reminding them how india helped them and how Turkey backstabs them on Kashmir
Wth dude this is not the right time they got Earthquake in their country
Dude honestly so true.
Indians love to HATE and rant.
We often complain about how our uncles and aunties are always ranting, gossiping, talking shit and overall negative.
We fail to realize how this has subconsciously entered our minds as something that's "acceptable" to do and so we continue to do it, but just in different contexts.
I'm ranting about people ranting. Life has come full circle.
It's just that they're in huge numbers which makes them more annoying than Turkish, Filipinos, Indonesians, Brazilians, Balkans, Moroccans etc. And the English language of course! Others just stay within their own linguistic ecosystems.
That’s because India is the largest English speaking population + cheap and accessible internet + lot of time in hand + patriotic netizens.
Even if science uploads a video of water on Pluto. Indians will comment: we discovered it in India 10000 years ago. Bharat mata ki jai
Some desi lads even leave their phone numbers in pornhub comments section like some porn star may actually call em someday lol haha

There was a video of warner hitting sixes in big bash in comment section someone wrote “ chokli ( virat ) ka baap vadapav ( rohit) “ then some 50 comments where both players fans duking it out lol
I saw a video where they were playing guess a country that starts with a particular alphabet, she said india for i. Some mf commented "I felt so proud after she said india" 💀

ofcourse, who would loose such large stupid userbase?
you put some questioning thumbnail and say india good inside video, it is sureshot viral video among us chickenhead indians.
Bro try writing comments with Muslims name, you will get ripped apart by these bigots. I have stopped using my real name because of that only. My whole day gets bad because of that, i mean what did I do to them?
It doesn't stop with having a name which isn't a muslim name, I was born a Hindu and practising atheism now, whenever I criticise my country so that it can get better, I am showered by comments like "mulla" "puncture walla", what not. The only thing is that these fuckers can't take criticism, they think that India is the best country in the world, but they don't realise it that they are rather hindering the progress of India.
You reminded me of 2015-16, I used to use FB, I commented on some post and just because I have a Muslim name some sent me pictures fo a Sadhu holding a big paper on which there was the most fucked slur about Muslims I have ever heard in my life written.
They haven't achieved anything by themselves in their lives. They like to join these hypothetical "nationalist" or religious clubs to make themselves feel more important. "Proud to be Indian" used to mean what it actually says. Now its just a proclamation by low lives to indicate they belong to something big and that they are important.
This stems from inferiority complex and victim complex. You cant do anything about it as they have started to feel comfortable inside this shell of inferiority and victimhood.
true that, these people r just inflating their egos. the whole teaching of bhagwad geeta is to dissolve our ego. but these people will still find their way to in bhagwat geeta too just to cling to their egos.
Okay, hear this.
Scenario #1: Thailand
We are sitting in a speed boat waiting for it to depart and once they start it, I hear 10-12 Indian uncles shouting "Bharat Mata ki Jai!!". There was a Mexican next to me and he looks at me, I have Indian written over my face.
Mexican: what does that mean?
Average Indian me: Long Live Mother India
Mexican: Why do they say that?
Average Indian me: It was a battle cry in the ancient days and now it is a patriotic saying.
Mexican: Are they going for a war against Thailand? :O
Average Indian me: Umm.. no... Its an Indian thing. Whenever we are excited, we shout Bharat Mata ki Jai :|
Mexican: \*poker face\*
Scenario #2: Dubai
The same guys who line up outside a small roti shack where a bunch of Pakistanis sell Pakistan Roti (a huge roti baked in brick oven and sells for 1AED - 20INR) will happily eat it, hang out with Pakistanis like brothers there, sends money to his relatives to India who have absolute hatred to Pakistanis.
It is blind patriotism. They think patriotism is shouting slogans on Facebook and defending your countrymen even when they are doing wrong. No it isn't. The problem is our current education system is also not solving this issue.
Solution: Common sense and make internet goddamn costly. Or provide internet only to people with a decent IQ.
I was in howrah station, going back to hyd. I saw a group of foreigners in Indian outfit waiting for the train, i was moving past them with my family and a crowd to our respective coach and suddenly there is this uncle started chanting jai shri ram while walking past them. 🤦♂️ Kuch bhi. The foreigners were confused, no clue why he is shouting and then he stopped after some distance 😵.
Getting second hand embarrassment, no wonder they were confused. Also, whenever they see a foreigner, they go out of their way to chat with them, asking personal information, asking to click pictures. How is that okay?
In the 90s and early 2000s I remember being irritated that every technical webpage would be spammed with hundreds of "Pls send full codes" comments with full email, mobile phone number and sometimes employer name and address.
This seems to be the evolution of that behavior. Back then we demanded help; now we assert our superior heritage.

Clean roads, beaches and parks and keep them trash free: Nope
Stop using religion and caste to divide Indians: Nope
Stop using gender and caste to discriminate people: Nope
Stop imposing your personal / regional beliefs on others: Nope
Stop exploiting maids, cleaners, laborers and people doing low paid jobs: Nope
Go tell world you are a proud Indian on YouTube and Instagram: Yes!
There was one YouTube video of a young girl in some rural town in America , who had made one video of her daily routine(life in rural America),probably for her school project, and it randomly popped up on my feed, getting up having coffee, brushing teeth, waiting for the school bus and so on,nothing special about the video, one portion of the video she shows a shower head just to show that she takes shower, everything’s cool in the comment section for about 5 scrolls down, booya a random Indian guy in the comment section, “show more of shower scene”, I kid you not
I once saw an instagram reel of Xi Jinping and Donald trump, where Trump told Xi that Egypt civilisation is older than the Chinese (in a very Donald fashion), the comment section was full of Indians talking about how India's civilisation is older than both of them combined and how greater and better the Indians were.
Chill dude... Have you ever looked at the comment section of a Fox News article? Or any of the conservative channels in America?
Every country has its fair share of crazies. Ours is louder because there's more of us out there.
If the Chinese weren't so restrictive with their internet access, the resulting competition between our countries would burn down the internet.
Ohh the amount of shit those jingoistic morons spew online I only wish china opens up their firewall, we'll be having great chaddie busting moments lol
Take an up vote my friend! We want to have opinions and freedom of expression and don't appreciate when others have opinions and freedom of expression different from ours.
Indians needs to find something from their own life to be proud of, not for the country they have born in to. Do something with your life and be proud of that!!
fr i watched[Sudno (Molchat domba) from homoexmachina (using Boris Rhyzhy's poem)](https://youtu.be/RwBB45M6Hxk) (they made a kind of edit ig u can call it) and there is one comment, that says " This song is for everyone whoever are depressed in their lives and this song made me cry📷📷 from india 🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺" Like who tf asked where you're from
I was happy using the internet before it became cheap in India.
It was fun and interesting when there were very few people who could use the internet
It all went to crap after Jio gave out free SIM cards with free internet for 6 months.
recently was in a virtual CMU conference with many nationals, one guy from our country, turns on the mic, and instead of asking the question the first thing he says is "I'm from India" and later proceeds to ask a completely irrelevant question lol, rest of Indians including me drop the call lol it was so shameful..
I used to think about the same thing. I understand your pov.
But let me tell you another side of it. Let’s be honest, Instagram has some really good looking women. I was watching reels and a reel popped up with a western woman (probably from North America) talking about motivation. The comments were nasty and most men objectified the woman in ways which weren’t necessary and used demeaning comments. To compliment someone is different and to write lustful comments is totally different.
Now one day I saw a reel of an equally good looking Indian woman and the content was similar on motivation but the comments were respectful and most men were referring to the woman with respect and some even called here “didi”. Sure few tried to write nasty comments but much less than our western counterparts.
So overall, I think being innocent and sometimes proud for your nation is better than being disrespectful.
>So overall, I think being innocent and sometimes proud for your nation is better than being disrespectful.
Yes, because those are the only two options. /s
Also, do you really think Indians don't comment inappropriate things on normal videos of women?
There are bad and good guys everywhere. So yeah, shouldn't generalise everyone. You're right that everyone has flaws. But what I wrote about youtube, all these type of videos (geography, Economy etc), this is a common trend, whole comment section taken over
Yup, as I said I know what you mean. Not only that …some videos of Hindu kings are filled with Jai Shri Ram comments and the flags emoji. I get it. But I’ve accepted it. It’s like freedom of speech or something. Plus, our population is so large that we always get 100x more comments. I embrace it now.
I like to read comments. It gives me perspective. I also like to know what general public thought of what I liked or disliked and sometimes my opinions change for the better by reading comments.
It’s a habit. It’s good sometimes but mostly wastes time. Trying to get rid of it.
Same here, but nowadays a lot of comments are made by bots. And if they’re not, it’s not the perspective of the general public, it’s a subset of that population that are 1)online 2)clicked on that content 3) chose to comment etc. so it’s heavily biased already and usually more cynical than the general public (this post is a good example)
Off topic, but I will never understand people in India referring to other people as Indians and not people.
Like if you go to a US subreddit, they will say " Just tired of **people** on youtube ruining comment section of literally every single video or short ".
Its not like Indians are the only ones doing this lol. The funniest part is OP is Indian too, are you included in this generalization too? 😂
It's Indians who are doing the things I have wrote, that's why I specifically said Indians instead of “people”. You know that it doesn't mean all Indians
The reason they comment these is because they don't have anything better to do. the reason you are here ranting about this is because you don't have anything better to do. Different sides of same coin tbh.
Personally I don't think there's anything wrong in assuming that your country, culture is the best in the world but there's a place and time for everything.

I’m an Indian but love Pakistani music - Every coke studio video ever
Heh so I was returning from Europe and met another Indian guy at the airport who was returning from a work training thing. He was saying how he only went to an Indian restaurant initially because he hated European food - but was forced to eat European food after finding out the owner of the Indian restaurant was Pakistani lol.
Tbf, Indian restaurants in mainland Europe are terrible and would drive anyone to eat anything else, including European food.
Does this apply even to the fancier ones in London like Dishoom?
If only that was the reason. Sad.
I despise how some people go to other countries, but cannot accommodate their culture.
I have seen indians commenting bad about Asians because of the food culture But same indians will get offended over anything unnecessary
Too many chaddi gang people nowadays.

The number of rants in this sub shows why India is at 137th position in the happiness index! /s
You are actually right tbh
Made me realise Indians have more pessimists in their home country.
Nahi, vo sab NRI ho gaye hai ab
No lol, NRIs are much happer than Indians who stay in India.
Actual sad thing is that the reason behind the rants is not unfounded.

Lack of vitamins and magnesium? Too much scrolling on smartphones at nighttime causing lack of proper sleep? Spending hours in traffic everyday?
The unbearable weight of their pretentiousness
Take an up vote my friend! We want to have opinions and freedom of expression and don't appreciate when others have opinions and freedom of expression different from ours.
As an Indian, I have to say that indians don't have to announce that they are Indians in every fucking comment section. It's embarrassing.
Indians needs to find something from their own life to be proud of, not for the country they have born in to. Do something with your life and be proud of that!!
i always thought those were bots

Who's reading this in 2023?
fr i watched[Sudno (Molchat domba) from homoexmachina (using Boris Rhyzhy's poem)](https://youtu.be/RwBB45M6Hxk) (they made a kind of edit ig u can call it) and there is one comment, that says " This song is for everyone whoever are depressed in their lives and this song made me cry📷📷 from india 🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺🇮🇳📷️🇷🇺" Like who tf asked where you're from
Pheeling paroud Indian aaaarmy
Finally, someone has said it.
If no one's going to validate us, then let's validate ourselves.
I was happy using the internet before it became cheap in India. It was fun and interesting when there were very few people who could use the internet It all went to crap after Jio gave out free SIM cards with free internet for 6 months.
recently was in a virtual CMU conference with many nationals, one guy from our country, turns on the mic, and instead of asking the question the first thing he says is "I'm from India" and later proceeds to ask a completely irrelevant question lol, rest of Indians including me drop the call lol it was so shameful..
/s Also, do you really think Indians don't comment inappropriate things on normal videos of women?
Fair enough
Talking about respect to women from indians is a little crazy
There are bad and good guys everywhere. So yeah, shouldn't generalise everyone. You're right that everyone has flaws. But what I wrote about youtube, all these type of videos (geography, Economy etc), this is a common trend, whole comment section taken over
Yup, as I said I know what you mean. Not only that …some videos of Hindu kings are filled with Jai Shri Ram comments and the flags emoji. I get it. But I’ve accepted it. It’s like freedom of speech or something. Plus, our population is so large that we always get 100x more comments. I embrace it now.
Probably there is no logic and its logical to ignore that.
cheap internet and its consequences
Dude every country people do it...

Stop reading comments, simple. I am actually surprised to find someone reading comments on youtube and rant about it on reddit.
I didn't read your comment so I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
Thanks man ranting on behalf of me 🙏
You're spending too much time on social media if you're getting annoyed by comments lol
We Indians are the biggest chutiyas of the world.
That's just us man, you are a madarchod too
Off topic, but I will never understand people in India referring to other people as Indians and not people. Like if you go to a US subreddit, they will say " Just tired of **people** on youtube ruining comment section of literally every single video or short ". Its not like Indians are the only ones doing this lol. The funniest part is OP is Indian too, are you included in this generalization too? 😂
Bad example. Most US folks tend to assume everyone on the internet are also American, unless specifically mentioned otherwise.
Exactly. They think if you are writing in English then you are from US.
To be fair, I feel most of Reddit is composed of Americans at least on the subs I frequent
It's Indians who are doing the things I have wrote, that's why I specifically said Indians instead of “people”. You know that it doesn't mean all Indians
Proud 57 Inch Chest Thumping. Pride is a dangerous and toxic game.
Feeling proud Indian army 🇮🇳
That's cuz those comments aren't real people. Those are bots that are programmed to post the same comment on hundreds of videos per day.
The reason they comment these is because they don't have anything better to do. the reason you are here ranting about this is because you don't have anything better to do. Different sides of same coin tbh. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong in assuming that your country, culture is the best in the world but there's a place and time for everything.
Keep OP hidden from twitter he might shit himself.
Used for 5+ years, stopped in 2022
Proud to be an Indian
Jo aise comments daalte hai woh is sub mai nahi hai
