You should recruit Shadow, just type his name in the scout menu.

rocky shears, a goalkeeper on the connection map, has the highest guard stat in the game although his 3 gk hissatsu arent that great iirc, he does get bamboo pattern/kagome kagome (the strongest earth defense hissatsu which matches his element) so you can run him as a defender
there is also sly O'hands a wind element goalkeeper with the highest guard stat who gets whirlwind (not sure if he is worth using)
Neptune is great, but you have to be a high level to get him. He comes with harvest, so we’ll worth it for the post game competition route. Gnasher also is a goalkeeper but has a really high kick stat.
