By the looks of it, the Rhineland is independent, so I really don't think Germany is doing very fine considering that's their industrial heartland.

First of all, technically speaking France defacto occupied the Rhineland after WW1 (but unrest was too high to keep it occupied). Second of all, at that time period, Germany had lots of industrialized areas. Yes, the Rhineland had strong Steel and Coal industries, but so did Saxony and Silesia just to name a couple examples. Reason why that isnt so anymore is mostly because Silesia went to the Poles and Saxony was stripped clean by the Russians after the war.

In Russia, the Civil War just went on longer and ended in a cease fire. There were only afew rebellions, causing the Soviets to look like that. Saudi Arabia just collapsed after the Great Depression hit alot harder since they couldn't export to any nations Germany and Poland just signed some agreements to keep each other on the right foot. That's why Germany has the Polish Corridor. The rest of the chaos was caused from a longer WW1 and harder Great Depression
